So it may be a few years late to write a review, but why not write one anyway? This show was wildly popular when it came out, so how does after being out for a while, is it still a good show to watch? Yes and no, this show is a mixture of awful and awesome, and it's a pretty good mixture of those two.
So whoever thought about making clothes the main plot point was an idiot, but somehow when you mix really idiotic plot devices with kick ass fighting scenes and pretty cool characters, you get an alright show.
Story:
The story is trash, but
...
in a fun way. Imagine clothes taking over the world, sounds like a classic B-movie plot right? Well this show takes a ridiculous idea and treats it seriously, so it was really neat to watch. The fight scenes make you almost forget how dumb the idea of the show is, and when they stray away from mentioning the dumb plot you can start to really enjoy the show. The characters also had some really cool back stories, some a little convenient I guess, but with a plot as weird as this the characters back stories were cool.
Characters:
I can make this section really short by saying one thing. Mako is the worst character in anime ever. She is unfunny and annoying. I can imagine kids thinking she's funny, but boy does that humor fade with age. Now the other characters were badass. I do however want to mention one other character I disliked at first, but then grew to like. I personally hate when the most powerful character happens to be some kawaii anime girl who's giggly and dumb, and oh boy did they make this character real. I hated her as soon as I saw her, but then I realized she would advance the plot then I thought maybe she isn't so bad. So those two aside the other main characters are cool, they have cool fighting techniques and make for some cool scenes.
Art&Sound:
Great music, so far has one of my favorite songs for epic moments. This show may have great music, but it does that thing where they'll make/pick cool songs and reuse them, making them lose their feeling. Still though, great sound track. The art on the other hand, may not be the best. Now when the show is being serious it has a fine art design and is directly great, but when the show goes into it's unfunny comedy moments, they drop the frame rate and use shitty editing to make for poor comedy. The action scenes were directed pretty good, they had some moments when they focused on talking more than fighting (which kinda sucked). The comedy scenes were poor, Mako being the overused and predictable comedic relief she was, whenever she appeared I would lose interest in that scene.
Overall:
Mixed feelings, stupid plot, cool action, unfunny, badass. I really wish I could rate with decimals, cause I'd give it a 7.5, or around that. It's a cool show, it had more good scenes than bad, but some things really just bothered me.

Have you ever seen a show that had a fantastic first episode, followed lesser episodes and spirals downward into mediocrity? Well, this show pulls it off, and that being said it's fairly disappointing. Imagine a firework display but backwards, an awesome display of amazement slowly going down to a pitiful glimmer of entertainment here and there.
Side note; This is a mature show, you will see naked women and you will see sex. You will also see blood and gore, which is fun.
Story:
Overall there was no REAL story, it was just episodic lore telling. Each episode takes place further into the future, and with each episode
...
they share more about how their world works, and develop side characters. With each episode going into the future, it felt like at times that I was watching a different show. At no point at all was I excited to see how the future would be portrayed as, because I was more invested in the first episode to care about the other ones. The real entertaining parts of this show was how violent it could be at times, which could beautifully get dark at times.
Characters:
The characters are great! The immortals were explained well, as well as they were entertaining characters, and each side character was fun also. To contradict what I said about hating how the show goes further into the future, I actually really enjoyed how each side character aged. Each character held the show well together, and saying how each episode got a little less entertaining, the characters managed to stay the same fun group. There isn't much else to say on this matter, they didn't give me enough reason to keep praising, nor did they give me an excuse to really hate them.
Art and Sound:
So the art is kinda the same as any early 2000 show, it has the old look that many peoples old favorites has. It did however have some pretty nice stage and set designs, which made each scene entertaining to watch. So as far as that goes, the music is what really made the art quite interesting. So to play off the whole 'each episode is further into the future' thing, the music for each episode does slightly change to match the time it takes place in. As I stated earlier, the first episode was the best, sound and all, but the songs in the later episodes was pretty nice as well. Overall, it was a fun discovery when I noticed it, then it really stood out when I payed attention.
Overall:
It was a fun experience, but I was pretty disappointed when the show progressively got worse. It's a show I was glad I saw, but it wasn't anything I'd really want to watch again soon.
If you are interested, and you've read this review and other reviews, and you don't want to waste too much of your time, I'd say watch the first episode as a movie and just forget about the other ones. It's episodic so you wouldn't really be missing out.

Soul Eater NOT, a show most people cringe to when they simply hear the title. Now is the show really as bad as most people want to claim it is; Well yes and no. No it's not as bad because the show has some fights as well as a semi interesting plot. Yes because it just simply isn't Soul Eater (but aside from that), and the characters can be the generic moe driven scum that we have all seen and are familiar with.
Story:
So I know people probably want to give every aspect of this show a hard time, but the story is actually pretty fun
...
if you are a fan of Soul Eater. The story is a girl one day half way transforms into a weapon and now she has been sent to a special school so she can learn more about her new skill. The show is mainly about her befriending two other girls as partners, but the show doesn't just focus on that. Soul Eater NOT also has elements from Soul Eater; Since this show is a prequel, you get to see how some characters were before the main show Soul Eater starts. As well as background for characters, you do get to learn about some of the lore from Soul Eater which I thought was pretty neat
Characters:
So if you enjoy slices of life and moe culture then this show may be your cup of tea. Sure the characters are predictable and generic, but I think they were actually designed that way for comedic purposes, as in to make fun of the generic moe characters we see in every show ever. There were times when this joke did go a little too far however, and it made me want to claw my eyes out. For the most part though they were tolerable, and sometimes it was pretty funny where they took the stereotype.
I also want to add that the main character from Soul Eater are side characters, and some of the side characters are now main characters.
Art:
This was one of the very few things that really bothered me with this show. Now, the art is not bad, but it is very different from it's parent show. Seeing some of the characters from Soul Eater stylized to look different was kinda a bad touch, but in defense they didn't look bad, just different is all.
Overall;
If you enjoyed Soul Eater and also enjoy slices of life, this show might be worth a watch, as long you don't mind pure unfiltered moe moments.
Also since it's a prequel, it might be fun to watch this then re-watch Soul Eater, since that show is worth watching multiple times.

I don't even know where to begin on this review, there was so much in the movie that I can't really just pin point one little thing. Everything about the show is everywhere, and I like it so much I just wish I had more. Paprika is a movie that will mess with your mind, for it's story is told in such a psychedelic manner that somethings will not make sense until the very end. The story isn't all too linear either, it has a few beautiful side stories that made me care for the characters and made the movie more enjoyable to watch.
So
...
what makes this show good, and why do people talk about it often? It's because the movie is just way too fun to hate. Sure the beginning of the movie can be a little confusing, but don't let that put you off from watching the show. Near the end everything starts to make sense, and once you understand it all the show goes all out and has fun with the rest of it. There is a bit of lore in the movie so don't completely turn off your brain, but don't try to hard to critically think about what's going on.
The movie was made to be fun to watch, not as a homework assignment that forces you to think hard.
Story: The story behind Paprika is a few people have found a way to record dreams for therapeutic reasons, but has been taken one day and confusion is led to mayhem. For the story, I will say trying to understand all the information being thrown at me within the first few scenes was not too bad, but as the show moves on it tells more things that may confuse you. Now like I stated earlier, the show explains things later and it was meant to just be a fun show. So when things get confusing just take a deep breath and think it'll all come together soon and don't think about some scenes as hard as you might want to. The dream sequences do tell some story as well, so don't disregard the dreams.
Over all the story was pretty unique, and done excellently.
Characters: This movie has very good characters, it was probably one of my favorite parts of the movie. Each character is lovable in their own way, and sometimes they may just seem a little unbelievable, but that's the charm of the show. They certainly made every scene likable and just fun to watch. As the movie plays the characters secrets are exposed, and it just makes the characters that much better. It makes no scene a dull moment as you explore their world and their personalities.
Art & Sound: Stunning art, and a beautiful soundtrack make for a great combination. The art is probably the most talked part about this show, for the psychedelic scenes make for entertaining moments to never fade. From the beginning to the end the art pulls its weight and really pulls the movie through with beautiful scenery as well as well crafted animations. Also the music, was by far probably the most memorable from any other anime I've seen. It had a unique style and sound that made it an audio masterpiece to fit with awes inspiring visuals.
So overall, a very enjoyable movie. When watching please don't use your brain too much. Some things may not make sense at first, but trust me, when the show pulls it all together this will be one of your favorite anime movies.

Ever wanted to kill hundreds of people with just one email? Well, that isn't what the show is about, but this show does feature the deaths of many as Japan suffers a severe earthquake. This show was a joy ride from the beginning all the way to the end, and though it may be a slow ride it was a joyous one to watch. The show as stated before is about a severe earthquake that hits Japan, and follows a teenage girl and her little brother through the tough aftermath as they travel back home. As aftershocks hit, they run into a friendly woman who
...
has agreed to see them home and travel as a group of three to help one another out through physical and mental struggles. Each episode shows a new moment in the in catastrophe, and the adventure that one shouldn't have to experience.
Sidenote: A good show to watch if you have no idea what to watch, I will say though the show is kinda slow paced. I don't mind slow paced shows if the story is good, which this show did have an interesting story.
Story: The story was pretty nice, an interesting turn from other shows out there. It was slow paced, but at the same time it seemed just interesting enough to keep my attention and seemed to fly by. The idea of it all was really good, it takes place in a demolished Japan after a serious earthquake, and shows the after math and struggles one and many would have if it were to occur today.
Characters: The characters were alright, they weren't the most creative, but they were fun. The only reason why they aren't labeled generic would be the situations they were placed in and how realistically they deal with them. The characters do also develop in the show which is spectacular, the way they acted towards one other from beginning to end was real and human like. Although as I do praise the characters, I would like to point out minor flaws. The characters might do or say some generic things, as in they act in a way that seems too anime to be real (if that makes sense). That would be my only problem with them, and it doesn't happen that often, but when it does it's a minor issue.
Art & Sound: This show did have some really great scenes with some nice design and nice detail to destroyed landscapes. Sets in the show were real for the situation, and the design for them were nicely drawn and colored. Nothing looked too dull nor too flashy, which is fantastic. My only issues though would be the use of cheap 3D models for characters in the background. Although I list that as an issue, it wasn't too noticeable and for the most part it wasn't overused and obvious. I also had some issues with the subtitles, for some of the important text would be colored differently from the not so important text. What I mean by that is usually if other characters are talking their dialogue would be colored, usually yellow. This show had yellow text but would make main dialogue yellow and the other text white, and it's easy to adjust to but it was weird seeing it for the first time.
Overall the show was good, but with a few cliche scenes. Although everything was great and unique, the show did use some elements that seemed maybe a little out of place. Also some things were predictable, and it is practically unavoidable for the lead up to some of the reveals made them obvious before they could reveal them.
Good show to watch, if your interested definitely put it in your plan to watch.

So you want to know about the anime School Days? Well this show has no equal, it's bad, but for it's own lovely way.
So if you are like any fan of anime you have probably heard the name School Days tossed around here and there and its reputation for being bad. Well, they aren't wrong, but it's probably not how you think it is. This show is the anti feel good, the bastard child of a harem/romance. This show is about the art of being a pimp and getting hoes.
That's a lie.
It's actually about an individual who cannot control his emotions with the girls around
...
him. He attempts to date a beautiful and innocent girl, who was ready for a slow and passionate relationship, but since our protagonist wants to speed things up he instead sleeps with his friend. This relationship continues, until his real girlfriend slowly spirals into a delusional state where she believes with all of her heart that everything is still okay.
This show isn't bad because of poor writing, it's bad for supporting wrong behavior towards a relationship.
Sidenote: I actually did care for the first half of the show, being how cringy it may have been, I supported the first bit of it. As the show went on though those feelings were crushed then faded away with any hope of coming back.
Story: This show is about a girl desperately clinging to a dying relationship she has with her cheating boyfriend. The male party seems to be caught up in one of his best friends, along with a few other girls. As this goes on everyone starts to lose their morals and wither into a shell of what once was human.
This story is about a pimp
Characters: The characters themselves is probably going to be the most conflicting part of this review, for they weren't bad, just their actions are unjustifiable. The characters develop beautifully over the 12 episodes. Everyone you've grown to know and hate finally bcome something you can't turn away from. Some characters you'll probably stick true to, for most if not all of the show. The characters are nice at first, but when emotions win over their minds, and when they lose mentality, that's when true character is displayed.
Art & Sound: Overused music galore! Ever liked a song in a soundtrack so much that you would make it the song you listen to every day forever? Good cause this show offers bad music in each episode! As for the art, it has that old look, so it's a good pace from what we watch today.
Overall: All I can really say is, if you want a mediocre show that has twists turns and is an emotional roller coaster, just watch to episode 11.
If you want to watch it to test your patience, to see if you can withstand the horror of this famously bad show, go for it, it's not as bad as you might think (it's still not good though)
And if you're watching it just because it may have piqued your interest, I'm sorry just don't do it.
Final warning, this show has not much good to offer, please continue at your own risk.

Pretty good show, art is different and stylish, characters are fun and interesting, it's probably the most interesting ping pong will ever be in it's lifetime. Don't let the art put you off, nor the fact that it's about ping pong, the characters really do carry the show pretty hard, so that in itself should say how well they were written in. The ping pong scenes in themselves were actually not that bad, the art made it fun and the characters made it even better. So needless to say, if this show has slightly piqued your interest, I would say defiantly give it a shot.
...
First couple episodes should be enough to reel you in with its fun nature.
Story:
On the outside the story looks like it's about a couple of kids who want to play ping pong and win a tournament, but there are different little plots within the short 11 episode series. Each character has their own drive to play, some to win, and some to fill other dreams. It's beautifully achieved over the short span of just a few episodes, and I felt satisfied with it all at the very end. Without saying to much to anyone who has yet to see it, just imagine ping pong but interesting. I promise you, it's interesting.
Characters:
Now I know I've said this a lot in the top introduction, but the characters are superb! Like I said earlier, each character has their own drive to play the game, and there really is development within the few short episodes. The pacing for their development isn't rushed, nor is it too slow, it is just right. The comedy in this show is presented pretty well through their personality and actions, as well as the drama and action scenes. The style fits perfectly well with the characters in the show, and it's lovely.
Art:
The art is, different, as one could tell right away from just looking at the cover. I'm sure the art is what grabs peoples attention the most, which on that note I would like to say the art is amazing. I know the art puts most people off, and I want to say please don't let it put you off. It's easy to look past because there are other things in the show that would 'make up' for it. If you're one for art this show is awesome, and a need to watch. If art isn't priority, let this be your first artistic show, because it is actually interesting. Also I want to add that the music is great, I didn't really catch any annoying tune being used more than once, and if there were reused songs they were at least good songs.
So overall this show is fantastic, look into it for a bit then dive straight into the world of ping pong!

It's going to be tough reviewing this, since I didn't exactly love the show, nor did I hate it. The reason why I'm saying that is because each episode felt pretty long, meaning it lost my interest multiple times. Oddly enough, even though each episode dragged on and felt boring I couldn't help but to click on the next episode. That being said I didn't drop the show, I didn't hate it nor did I love it. Before I get into the breakdown of the show I want to say that this show might be a hit or miss, and I feel like this show
...
might be for a younger audience. I'm not saying it's a kid show, but for the mystery genre, the 'cases' they solve might seem uninteresting to someone who has seen better mystery shows.
Story:
The show takes place at school, where one student is told by his sister to continue the spirit of a dying club. After excepting the role of being the potential only member of the club he meets a girl who changes the way he lives his daily school life. As a few more members join the club together they solve mysteries ranging from school events to rumors.
So the show is basically about a group of friends who get together to solve mysteries mainly involving their school. There are a few episodes where they do things out of school, but other than that it's mainly school related. So if you're a fan of anime that usually don't go outside the realm of school this might be a cool show for you.
Characters:
My main issue with this is that the characters were there, the characters were fun, but they didn't do anything that interesting.
The main character Oreki has this outlook on life that he absolutely needs to be lazy, anything involving work is a hassle to him. Although he is lazy he is actually pretty clever and can solve most mysteries easily. solving the mysteries contradicts his outlook of being absolutely lazy, so sometimes his character is a bit witty and fun.
The other main character Chitanda is the one who motivates Oreki to solve cases. She's not much other than that in the show, I mean she helps with the cases as much as the other two characters.
Like I said earlier, the characters were fun and interesting, I would have really liked to see them solving other cases besides pointless school cases.
Other than the main characters there are side characters who you actually see appear from time to time, which is something that I really like. It was a nice touch having characters who go to the same school making reappearances because you know, they do go to the same school after all.
Art:
This one is odd, cause some shots in the show are very artistic with things like a beautiful sunset, then there are other scenes where they just look like a normal show. Then the art gets a little too crazy when they start to talk about there mysteries. When they talk about their cases the show goes to a completely different style of art. These little scenes are nice, I like them a lot. Also the music was good, they reused songs too much but they weren't bad songs.
Overall:
Not the greatest mystery show, yet it wasn't exactly a waste of time. I do want to say though the second half of the show was a lot better than the first half. So if you decide to watch this one just keep in mind that it does get more interesting.
Pros: Fun characters
Cons: Boring at times

This was an alright movie. Nothing spectacular to blow away everyone's mind away, and it's definitely not terrible enough to end up getting a dirt low rating. Now it's probably because I watched this after seeing so many other shows that I think this way, I know many people say that this show revolutionized anime as we know it, but compared to the newer shows today that are actually pretty good this one doesn't really live up to a comparison. Now if I saw this early on during my first couple of shows and first couple of movies I would have fallen in love with
...
it. So needless to say, if you're trying to get into anime and if you're prepared for a tad bit of weirdness, this might be up your ally.
So if you've seen a lot of shows already, don't go in thinking it's going to be the most amazing thing. If you're new to anime, here's a cool movie that gets a little weird, but hey anime can get strange sometimes.
Story:
Now from the cover of the movie and by the opening scene, I was to believe this was a motorcycle racing movie. Sadly it is not about the racing, or really about motorcycles in general, it's about a sort of side character meets with another sort of side character. Their meeting is far from normal though, their meeting changes their lives pretty much for the worse. Now without spoiling much, I know that sounds good and all, but there's magic powers involved out of nowhere so it got a little strange from that. To sum up the story in one sweet sentence without ruining anything, the friend gets too involved in top secret military stuff and pays the price by going insane. There's also a cult group who prays for the end of the world, but the movie never focuses on that.
Characters:
The characters are meh, I didn't really care about any of them at all. I knew who two of them were and the rest of them were just kinda there. This movie will make characters show up and then never show them again, and then grab new characters half way through the movie and then drop them from the movie again. So basically the movie is about a few people doing things bad for everyone else.
Art:
It's just an old anime, it has that 90's vintage look, nothing too special there. Although there were really good animations for a few scenes, with a lot of moving parts and flashing lights. Also the music wasn't really all that great, there's are also a few sound effects from other sources so you might hear a few sounds you could recognize from other shows.
Overall:
Not a terrible experience, but if I knew the show wasn't going to be all that great I would have avoided watching it. It's a long movie with a shifting plot, and it wasn't ever too confusing to follow, but I just didn't really like how things ended up.
Pros: Good first movie, introduction to anime and preparation for weirdness
Cons: Not such an amazing movie, plot changes, characters get dropped

This show is amazing, but I do want to warn anyone who is just now getting around to watching this show, please pay very close attention to who the characters are and what they are doing and saying. Kyousou Giga is not told as a linear story at first, there will be flash backs as well as background episodes for characters. Being confused by this show is normal, so please don't let that put you off cause this was a very nice show.
Story:
In this multiverse story, there lives a family who seek to live in a new and interesting world. Bending the laws of nature
...
and balance they go to create a world that fits them to be unique just like their odd family. Then one day while everything was normal a mysterious girl appears in search for family. This story had loads of rich feelings, which played nicely in such a unique show as this one.
Characters:
This show had easily the most interesting characters I have seen in a show. I'm not saying they are the best characters ever made, but they are far from ordinary. Over the 10 episodes this show had to offer, I grew fairly close to each character, their backstories all unique and had plenty to offer. As far as development goes, I wouldn't say they really change drastically, but your feelings towards the characters might change from your starting viewpoint to the end of the show.
Art:
Amazing art, a fairly complicated looking world where things might have been out of place for a normal city looked just right in a place like this. The design for everything was pop-like and cartoony, which made for very interesting episodes when the show would take its serious moments. some of the effects in the show might look a little lazy, but with the whole cartoon design it doesn't look too out of place, in fact I would have never thought about it unless someone pointed them out (which someone did).
Overall:
Amazing show, pretty unpopular even though it was a pretty great show. If you plan to watch this I would just like to advise again to please give this show your full devoted attention, it's worth it.
Pros: Great show, very enjoyable, recommendable, unique
Cons: Confusing at times, may be hard to follow
