Serenity | Female | 19 | College student
I have been watching anime for a couple years now, though I have not had MAL quite that long.
Favorites:
Anime genre: Shounen
Non-anime movie: The Dark Knight
Non-anime tv series: Doctor Who (2005 & 1963), and Sherlock (BBC)
Music band: -too many-
Video Games: Team Fortress 2, Borderlands (1 & 2), Legend of Zelda, Left 4 Dead 2, Prototype
Extra:
I always watch anime in Japanese! It's become a habit of mine, I will always watch things in their original language because I think that is how it was meant to be watched!
I never drop shows...ever! I will always complete shows even if I absolutely despise them!
Generally I prefer to watch anime over reading manga. Not quite sure why this is, but there you go!
Please feel free to send me a friend request or leave a message! I accept random requests and am always willing to chat about anything! :D
Sorry for not being very active lately! Things have gotten in the way. I'm hoping I'll be able to slip back into my old anime habits before long, but things are pretty busy right now.

Hello there, I enjoyed your "07-Ghost", I like it when people aren't afraid to give a low score to animes who rally deserve it.Also, I see our both anime and manga compatibility is "high" which doesn't usually happen for me. Also, I love your chibi Gintoki picture profile ^^ Hope we can talk more. Have a nice day~

Hey, how's everything? I'm really, really sorry for disappearing like that. Now, knowing that I'm still alive, you may be wondering where I have been all this time. Well, I'm quite busy nowadays, juggling my time between my current job and getting prepared for the competitive exam that would allow me to get a job as a teacher, which I consider my real vocation. So, yeah. Busy.
Lately, I have logged in a few times here, just in order to answer to your last comment, but the result was always pretty much the same: "Gah! I'm so tired! I'll do it tomorrow. Yes, tomorrow sounds nice." And finally, almost two months later, here it is. Shame on me for taking so long, really.
And now, I'm actually going to reply to your previous comment. Unbelievable, isn't it?
The anime world definitely needs more Sherlock Holmes. After a quick search, the only anime adaptations of Sherlock Holmes that I could find are a 26 episodes series from the 80s in which the cast is composed of anthropomorphic dogs and a Arsène Lupin vs Sherlock Holmes movie which I happened to watch a couple of years ago, and as far as I remember, was pretty bad.
I haven't read the first chapter of the Sherlock manga yet, mainly because during that previously mentioned quick search I was only able to find raw versions, so, other than looking at the pictures, I couldn't do much, but from what I've seen it looks like the chapter is pretty much the first minutes of the first episode of the Sherlock TV series. If that's really the case (no pun intended), I hope they are doing that only for the sake of introducing the characters to those that haven't watched the original show. Otherwise, this whole thing would be pretty pointless!
Oh, my God, that Naruto animation!!! What's wrong with his face?! Who looked at that piece of animation and thought "Oh, yes, this looks great! The fans will LOVE it!"?! The best/worst part is the fact that, from what I can see in that gif, despite looking like complete crap, that scene probably was much more expensive to animate than your average Naruto fight scene, if only because someone had to drawn the different ways that his face deformed after being punched.
If I had to guess, now that I think about it, I'd say that Oswin Oswald and the Doctor's future companion won't turn out to be the same person, mainly because that would be a bit too similar to River Song's story with the Doctor (with the whole "meeting in the wrong order" thing), but we shall see.
Speaking of Doctor Who, I really need to watch the other episodes of series 7 that have already aired. Yep, with the exception of Asylum of the Daleks, I haven't watched any of the series 7 episodes yet. Sad, but true. I think I'm going to marathon them this weekend as a sort of birthday present to myself.
The ending of Neon Genesis Evangelion is infamous for being really… weird. To this day, people still debate on the internet about what the hell happened during the last two episodes. But I wasn't only referring to that when I said that it was messed up; the whole show (the story, the characters) gives off a certain sense of hopelessness, I don't know how to properly explain it without giving away spoilers. All in all, there is a very important lesson here for everyone: when a show is written by someone who at the time of writing was suffering from clinical depression, the show itself will end up being… well, depressing.
And that's it, I think. Done. Again, I'm really sorry for taking so long to reply. With a bit of luck, as I get more used to my current workload, I will be able to have a little more free time so things like this don't happen again. I hope.

haha do not worry i am also slow with replying sometimes. good luck with your studies^^
oh man it would be awesome if i have psychic powers so i can pull "Sherlock" on people whenever i want *sparkling eyes*
do you like crime shows in general? if so i recommend Criminal Minds.
haha i know what you mean. some faces John and Sher had on manga panels cracked me up too. it would have been fun if there is an anime adaption too but preferably with a different plot than tv show. when i heard about the manga adaption i expected it to be a mild shounen ai but so far i have proven wrong lol

haha i got very excited whenever i have met a fellow Sherlock fan too, your fave character list is also very exciting*giggles*
like House, Bones, Cold Case, Scrubs too? *highfives*
about manga: artwork is ok, expecially Lestarde looks quite yummy awesome. it would have better if they have added something extra even though it's an adaption of the series. also they even have kept on the same tradition with the series: "making people wait" two months for a new chapter? come on, i feel like my whole life is about waiting for Sherlock *sigh*

I'm always delaying my replies too haha, no worries. XD
Yeah it's always fun experimenting and learning new things. :D
Ah yeah same. Layers are the best things ever. =w=
Well reruns AND new episodes. I don't mind about the reruns though because Gintama is a very rewatchable show. :D Also I dunno if you've seen the first episode yet but they're animating the Kintoki arc atm! Probably because of the fake preview of the second last episode in the last season. XD But man I heard they changed the whole Gintama website and even the TV listing to Kintama. XDD And the opening replaced Gintoki with Kintoki. XD As expected of the producers of Gintama, haha. XD
Or what they should do is like a 12 episode season every 6 months or something. Like western TV programmes tend to do that. Or a 25 episode season every year. But yeah it's just the way the timeslots work out on Japanese TV. =w= But the point of reruns is cause the show is just so popular and awesome that people don't care, haha. XD Better having reruns than NO Gintama at all! It also gives time for the manga to get further ahead too!
Yeah I've started uni. My classes are alright I guess. I've only just started so I can't say I have an overall opinion yet. =w= But my timetable is great, I'm only in 3 days a week and I'm usually only in class for 3 - 5hrs on those days. :3 But of course my days off go towards assignments and things. =w=
