Well, I guess I should start this now...

So, my name is Nick, I'm a pretty average Canadian university student and, like the rest of the community here, I have an affinity for anime and manga. I like almost all genres and demographics, with fantasy/adventure as my favourite genre, and seinen (which would be my age demographic) as my favourite demographic. My favourites are listed on this page, so no need to go there. Feel free to add/contact me at anytime, as I probably spend way too much of it in this place.

And now for your viewing pleasure, I'll make a (brief) list of various aspects of anime fans I both like and dislike. First, the bad

• Shotacons and Lolicons; the over-obsessive ones who ignore everything else. Alternatively, anti-loli factions also irritate
  
• Extreme dub fans, extreme sub fans, and dub vs sub arguments. Also more specifically, anti-fansubbing people.
  
• Club, profile, and IRC trollers
  
• Fans who are constantly ignorant and on Cloud Nine.
  

And now for the good!

• People who like to join me on IRC (PM me if you want the network) for a good time
  
• People who like to have healthy discussions, and not pointless flame wars that are cleverly disguised as "debates".
  
• Down-to-earth fans; the ones who seem real.
  

Basically, I don't like extremity, and appreciate people who don't constantly fanboy or fangirl about everything.

mflatischler | 08-18-08, 1:38 AM Yeah, I realized it a bit later though. ^^ I heard her already as Tama-chan, Hyouka and Rakka but I first got to know it was she, doing the voice acting, while I was looking for the CV infos for the Watashitachi no Tamura-kun Drama CD. She is doing the voice acting for Matsuzawa Komaki (see my profile). About Junichi Sato effect, can you give me a link to a good article about it ?! Yeah, I'm already fired up ^^ to watch it, but I think it will be a tough download and it seems no group have ever started and finished it once. Thanks for the positive feedback about my favourite list. The first four anime favourite will never change, at least for a long time. (yeah, i know it's relative) ^^ The fifth place is quite unstable, I can put all the titles I scored with 10 and 9 in the fifth place randomly if I want to. I haven't seen Bebop and Baccano yet but I don't think both titles will ever replace my first four. ^^ Reply - Anime - Manga

Tenchio | 08-15-08, 3:05 PM Yeah, I suppose it's not possible not to know what's gonna happen, considering the series' ending became an internet meme, heh. Well, Kotonoha is the only sane (at least in the beginning, lol) person in the show, that may be the reason (though I suppose that 99% of the people who like her do it because of the moe factor, yes). What I find stranger is that the other characters - especially Sekai - can have huge fanbases when they're all brainless, promiscuous, whimsical idiots.
