Do yourself a favor and do not watch this. It checks all the boxes for what makes a popular anime and somehow fulfills nothing. There are so many reused scenes, especially on the final episode. They literally reuse the same scene of Solomon vaporizing the same set of demons like 6 times, followed by a reused scene of a football from earlier in the show. They have fight scenes where there are no fights and serve no real purpose. When Lucifer finally wakes up, they show an arm and a door opening....that's it. Everything gets reset and everyone forgets everything except Solomon. They show Dantalion ... (the main demon) and that's somehow the end. They literally go "Welp, this show was actually pointless because Lucifer is back...lol!!!" I feel angry. My intelligence was insulted. Also I went into this expecting a boy's love anime and it is 100% NOT. They show a few scenes of some people getting uncomfortably close and that's it. The fact that there was not one single kiss by the end of this...not one single moment shared by the two main characters that meant ANYTHING. There is a fight with Joan of Arc that....isn't actually a fight. The demons keep going back and forth, to and from Hell, and there is no real rhyme or reason for ANYTHING. Meanwhile they made Solomon laughably stupid because they tried SO HARD to shove the whole "realist" aspect down our throats...it becomes laughably bad. I am not actually sure why I watched the entire show. I guess I figured I would eventually get a kiss at the or a confession or something. Instead, I somehow was left with a lot of things going on while simultaneously nothing is actually happening. If I had to describe this in two words it might be: Nothing Burger or Blueball Burger. I still can't believe how offended I was at the ending of this series. They must've had extreme production cuts or made this show based off of like 2 mangas.

Compared to the first season, this one seems a bit jumpy. The story and plot of the first season seemed to have a very good flow. This season is almost just completely split into 3 different arcs. It doesn't have any real flow; once one arc is over, another one begins.

1st Arc is the Sinon story.
-Basically the same as the first season of this series.
2nd Arc is the Excalibur story.
-Almost completely unnecessary, just some quest that everyone does so that Kirito can get Excalibur.
3rd Arc is the Yuuki story.
-The crying part of the show. Literally, ... you'll be fighting back so many tears.

I feel like Yuuki kinda pisses me off because her character is going to live on in the story, but characters like the girl that Kirito couldn't save in the first season and left him that message are just forgotten.

The most enjoyable part of this season is the Sinon Arc. Kirito and Sinon make such a cute couple. It really helps illustrate PTSD so well. The 2nd Arc feels like extra random filler that wasn't needed at all and it actually deterred me from finishing the series. I took a huge hiatus before I continued to watch at this point. The Yuuki part is really sad and it isn't bad at all, but it also feels really thrown in as well. If the whole series just focused on the first story more and left it at that, I would've probably enjoyed this a lot more.

Side note - Why is Asuna such a loser? She could've talked to Kirito about how she felt, she felt so alone and really needed someone and he definitely would've been there for her. I'm not sure why he was left out of all of this and it actually feels really rotten.
