Although the OVA aren't related to the games released at the time, they still hold the themes of the games (cults, demons, etc). The story itself was not the greatest, although it felt decent enough to follow. The characters were decent enough to move along. Art & Sound were decent for the time (dub).
I believe that without knowing the origins of the Shin Megami Tensei story, many people may be thrown off by this OVA. For anyone coming in blind, I would recommend to read up prior to learn some history to understand more than what is being shown.

Absolute Duo... I thought it was ok.
Absolute Duo is ok at best. I felt that this whole show could have been better; it had so much potential to be something cool and exciting, which it did for a while. I was going through this show blind & watching it in English dub on Youtube. STORY: School, Teenage boys and girls, archaic weapons that no one uses anymore unless your a pro LARPer. As the story progressed onward, I began to enjoy it just a little bit; however, towards the end, it dropped all my excitement. The dubbing did not help either, which was my mistake to ...

This review is not serious in anyway, only for fun.
So me & a couple of friends ended up watching this, as a joke, for some anime movie night after watching Time Bouken & Colorful. The whole time watching this, we ended up making fun of it in certain scenes. One scene was when Kakashi & Nadara were doing a contest on "Who can finger who first", both of them got fingered in the end. The movie was pretty ok. Sakura's falling for Sasuke, Naruto became a princess hunter, Sasuke's doing nothing & Kakashi's still cool reading his romance novels. The art style was nice, ...

Just a pretty quick review; I enjoyed EoE. The quality of the movie was amazing, the fighting was awesome to the point that it horrifies you (in a good way), the ending felt bittersweet. I'm glad that it ended the way it ended, especially with it leaving an empty feeling.
