I'm a mature student, studying BA History with Archaeology. I don't watch much TV, but watch my share of DVDs.
Currently, my favourite anime are: Scrapped Princess, Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket, Hunter X Hunter, Monster. My collection is always expanding, so my favourites will change from time to time.
Non-anime things I like to watch include: Firefly, Red Dwarf, Yes Minister, Quantum Leap, Hustle, Spooks.
I also like to read things. Some of my favourites are: The First Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever, by Stephen Donaldson; the Gormenghast novels, by Mervyn Peake; the Hyperion Cantos, by Dan Simmons; the Gap Cycle, also by Stephen Donaldson; The Day of the Jackal, by a man whose name eludes me.

Awesome!!! Hopefully you will become one of my many Ghost Hunt converts!!! I bought the "imported" set, but the subs suck. So, I'm still hoping it will be released some day over here. But, since it's not as well known as so many of the others, that dream may never be realized. *sob*

I actually haven't played 9 Dragons in a while. My profile needs an overhaul. Love 9 Dragons though. But very graphic heavy. Slows my pc down, so I might try it again when I get a better one. Another good one you might want to try that's really beautiful and I loved the gameplay is Zu Online. Right now, my daughter has me playing a lil' side scroller called La Tale. It's ok, but I think I still prefer 9 Dragons and Zu Online. I just need a better pc to pick those back up. :)

Loved the review for Hunter X Hunter. I, too, am not a typical shounen fan, but I got absorbed into this series. Agree completely about the Crystal Tower Arc. Didn't do much for me (other than Killua... what a doll). I'm nearing the end of the first 62-episode series, and cannot wait to get to the OVAs. Your review was spot-on, and amusing read (I lol'd at the "what do you take me for?). :)

Yeah, it's an excellent series. Also you can find it in really high resolution easily enough :P
One on your favourites that intrigues me is Monster. I hear it's really rather an interesting series, if a bit heavy going.
