... by the way, what was your previous name? lol. I just realized who you were, but I can't think of your last name for the life of me. Terrible short term memory.
And how about that 00-dumplage? What a horrible sequel. I'm pretty sure I'm done with following modern Sunrise for awhile, after I finish 00-2. I'll keep an eye out on the Gundam 30th anniversay thing, whatever it'll be, but I'm not too optimistic about it at this point. I wouldn't go as far as saying it's CG-R2 all over again, but it's still a downright disappointment (pretty much unredeemable at this point I'd say)... I think rah-rah had a really good point when we talked about it awhile ago... in season one you could tell the plot/world/ideals was more of the focus, with character development second. Regardless of that, everything developed smoothly, you still cared for some of the characters and knew them, etc. Now with 00-2, they've shifted the development solely to the characters... the plot never feels like it's going anywhere, all the characters REAL development apparently happens in the background/stories from what I hear (how lame is that?)... etc, it's just a mess.
I mean shit, when I smile whenever I see Nena pop up on the screen, that's just sad, considering I hated her last season.
They really fucked up with Mr. Bushido also. Graham was definitely one of my favorite characters last season, what a way to handle his alter-ego. Yeah, Graham died. And who's the main character!? lol... =_=
Stop splitting your series Sunrise!
I would say more, but I see you're not totally caught up. Let's just say, they "appear" to be bringing in even more previous Gundam cliche's, which just makes me hate it even more. Yeah, way to ruin the 00 world by stripping it's originality.

I saw your comment on Cihan's profile about Votoms, I'll just say, don't be too quick to judge it. At least for me, the pacing was a little slow at first but it does end up really being one of those shows that feels like an adventure (if that makes sense. I know it' sa weird comparison, but Turn A kind of fits in my "adventure-esque" list of shows too... the payoff is incredible. It's also broken up into 4 major arcs in different locales, with a lot of different themes and vibes to them. Lots of people seem to love the second arc in Kumman, a jungle area. Shit does hit the fan in this one and you end up meeting Chirico's rival, Ypsilon.
Upon rewatching the first episode of Votoms a few days ago, I was kind of ... speechless at how out of character Chirico actually seemed, seriously. He's a character that doesn't ... show a lot of character for the most part, but it's handled really well. He's probably one of the best untalkative characters in anything I've seen.
Votoms also has by far one of the best endings I've ever seen, it's way over the top and just full of "holy shit" moments in the last arc.
Knowing your tastes a bit and how you can appreciate old stuff, I think you'll definitely like it! Another one of those shows like LOGH that really makes a man out of its watchers... heh.

Thanks, its the best way to start the viewing experience I think, the transition from the movie to the OVA is seamless.
I see you started Votoms, another mega-sci-fi series on my To Watch list. Hope it lives up to the hype too!

I'm sorry to bother you, but I saw you mention "Eden: It's an Endless World!" on KakashiGaiden's profile and I've been looking for it. Do you download it, buy it, or do you know a manga reader/streamer that carries it?

I totally love that "Brethren Before Wenches" graphic.

I'll definitely give it a try then, cuz it sounds like something that might be pretty good.
And Brethren before Wenches indeed xD

Maaaan Gantz is so good. I really need to find another one like it. Sci-fi + Badass = Epic Manga.
I might give Eden a try some time :)

Haha, yeah I want to rewatch the whole thing again already. Wish CA was a little faster with the DVD remastered episodes, but whatev.
Yang's Gaiden is a bit different though ... the animation is a lot more cel-ish, like later 90's shows. Doesn't really seem to have that classic look most of LOGH had, that and Yang has a different VA. I'm sure it's still great though, but I imagine Reinhard's past was probably more interesting.

You absolutely need to see the first LOGH Gaiden. So many things end up tying in with the series by the end of it, gave me a new outlook on Reinhard, and even the Rosenritter got a good chunk of development!

Thanks! And that sounds like a good plan, relaxing until school starts again. Lol and speaking of the gym, I wish I forced myself to go, but I always think of an excuse not to. First week I said, "I just finished my exams and I need a cool-down period." Then my mom hurt her back so she wasn't going to the gym, so I couldn't go either. Then for another two weeks, my dad happened to get a lot of time off work, and I don't like to ride the exercise bike at home when he's around just staring. xD And now my excuse is, "well what's the point, school's about to start soon." >.< Sigh, I need to do something this, lol.
What kinda books are you reading? Were you the one that I recommended some Nancy Kress books to? Might have been someone else but I'm not sure. xD And that's quite a few weddings.. I've only been to one my entire life. xD

I kinda know what you mean by the "innocent" part but I find it fairly refreshing, mostly cause they are country kids (well, everyone but Yosuke and the MC are) who handle their angst in a more....relaxed (I guess that works) fashion? I mean, I liked P3 and all, but the fact that everyone in it was in a way a kind of tragic hero angstbucket was kinda annoying (I don't mind angst at all, I'm a Gundam fan after all, but...). Also doesn't help that in retrospect, P3 is kinda like the breakfest club in terms of character archtypes. Everyone in P4 is much more beliveable and likeable. Plus cuter girls (I need to get the undub for this, cause I swear to god Rie Kugimiya voicing a flirty and bubbly ex idol is going to make my head explode). Also like that the MC has more of a personality then the MC in P3 ever did.
You're probably right with Geass, although I tend to take anything that features real robots more seriously then I do with super robot shows, almost instinctivly. The only good part of R2 by the end was Lelouch still, even though I didn't think they really used his character all that well after what, ep 15? The show just felt like it took everything I liked about it initially and just shat on it. I still like aspects of it but I don't take disappointment too well >_<.
It's funny you mention Reunthal and Mittermeyer, cause in the novel, he wasn't intially that nice to Ariabart (which I kinda like about Jouslain: he's not really a nice person, but you can't hate him, espically when he has a lot of other qualities that make him awesome). The only thing that kinda disappoints me about Tytania is Salacish, mostly cause he's *exactly* the type of guy you'd think he would be just by looking at him, and he feels kinda out of place considering the other dukes.

Glad to hear back from you so soon!
Oh that's right, I remember you mentioned about switching from Physics to something else. I'm happy that you're doing so well and that Economics is working out for you! As for me..well I didn't watch loads of anime, but I wasn't always on top of my studying. I got nothing lower than a C but I can do much better. And I will have to. xD I'm just happy that I survived my first semester at this big university. I know what worked and what didn't work. >.<
I've met new people and checked out the anime club also! But none of that really lasted long. The people I met were just short-term study partners and I didn't like the anime they were showing at the club. I spent most of my time sitting in a private room in the library or eating lunches alone. I hope next semester won't be as lonely. :<
Ever since vacation started, I've been watching as much anime as I can. There are only 17 days left until school starts. I suppose I should do something useful at one point, but...I don't really know what to do. D: Oh yeah, I'll probably visit my grandma and brother before I start back. Which means getting bullied around by my 10-yr old niece. xD
How are you planning the rest of your vacation? When do you start school back?
