Then one night, I was finding an anime to watch since I was really bored. Then I remembered this anime. I thought, why not try to watch it and see if it's worth it?
*So I watched it, and I realized that it was not "your typical ecchi anime".
It is an ecchi anime with a childish theme, which is not common in anime series with this particular genre. When I look for anime shows to watch, I choose those which are not "common" ( the "stereotypes" in their respective genres), and this surprisingly made me interested.
So here are my ratings:
I ranked it 8 because I think the plot is good, with a middle-schooler knowing lots about the Underwear. ;)
The art...well, it's not really that catchy, but at least it does not turn off the watchers.
I think the theme songs fit the anime show well.
I liked the main character because she is very funny...with her clumsiness which contrasts her broad knowledge about the Underwear. ;)
And I also liked the little girl (I think it was Yako?) because it was funny how she misunderstood the main character's actions. :D
I really enjoyed episode 1, because of its lightheartedness and obvious comedy. Yes, it's one of the "comedy stereotypes" I saw in this anime (and will be seeing, I think), but it really contributes a lot to the enjoyment.

Since I'm someone who prefers shoujo genre when reading a manga, I've found this beautiful. Especially because there are two guys over one girl, and drama.
Story - 7/10 - The story was altogether good and light-hearted, but I didn't like the time when Hinaki did something unwanted (I wouldn't want to spoil you). That destroyed much of my reputation for the plot. But it still had the good points, so I gave it 7.
Art - 8/10 - Although the art is not exemplary, it is still satisfactory.
Character - 7/10 - There was not much character development to expect, because this has only 5 chapters. But the character personalities are forgivable, so I gave 7.
Enjoyment - 10/10 - I gave a perfect 10 because my basis for enjoyment is comedy and fantasy. It has good comedy.
Overall - 8/10 - I liked the plot, but the manga-ka could have done better if he/she ended it up well.
Well, recommended (but not highly) for those who ran out of something to read. read more
As most people say, the story is slow. I personally like manga better than anime, but Ouran it applied in reverse. The anime is a little better than the manga, because it somehow gets to the point quickly unlike in the manga.
Not something I expected after watching the anime. The art is different, and at first glance, you wouldn't have thought it's Ouran.
Generally, people would give thumbs up for the characters. But I won't. Personally, the only person I liked is Haruhi, because I think she's the only one I'd call decent. Others are somewhat...abnormal.
Not much enjoyment for me at all. Because I don;t like something that beats around the bush. The comedy was all right, but for me it stops to the comedy. Totally pointless.
If you'd like to try Ouran, go and watch the anime. The manga is not recommended unless you really are bored and can't find anything more worth reading. read more

But to my surprise, it isn't that boring. The beginning of the story got me going till the end. I loved this anime at first sight because of...believe it or not, the plot. I know some people would think the plot is not that nice, but for me, it is very good. The main character, Miharu, is very cold, but then he gained some friends, and in the near end he became different from what he was before. He had the Shinrabanshou (I can't say the meaning because I'm not really sure of it, but I know that it grants its owner's wish), but he doesn't want to use it. His teacher Kumohira-sensei wants to get it out of his body.
Then later on, many things happened that led him to wanting to use the Shinrabanshou for someone. Of course, his teacher disapproves of this. And then again, many things happened (although it's somewhat uninteresting in the way I say it, it really is interesting and would make you want to watch every episode).
Then comes the final episode. I was very happy that I'm able to see a nice ending, I even gave the show an entire 10/10, but after the credits...I was disappointed. To the reader of this review, it's up to you to find out why. But even so, my rating for the story remains 10/10.
The art: it isn't that outstanding, but it isn't disappointing either. At least you wouldn't be turned off by the characters' appearance.
The sounds: The OP and ED isn't that bad, and I should say it really fits the show especially the ending. Again, to the reader, it's up to you to find out why, if you are going to watch this anime.
The characters: Well, I should say there are character developments...but near the end (this is a spoiler) I heard Oda-san say, "...but spare Raikou. I'm interested in him and his past and resolution."
It was funny. I'll leave it to you to find out why.
Thobari-sensei- You can't just keep up with what's going on in his mind.
Raimei- Well, it would be good if she and Kouichi will be together...I just thought of this because there was a since that hinted it.
Kouichi- If I ever write anything about him except what I wrote in Raimei, it would be a spoiler.
Raikou- good that the thing that should happen to him happened. Anyway, I think he has no relevance to the story.
and finally...Yoite. I should've prepared myself from the beginning...it was always mentioned that with Kira, he'll end up dying. I was so disappointed with myself for not preparing...anyway, it's good that "the thing that should happen to him happened".
Well then, I recommend this to people who like ninja anime, because this is a ninja anime, but not really THAT much action. For me, the only attraction is the plot and character developments.
P.S. I REALLY love this anime. I'm weird. read more
