First off, if you don't know a lot about Japanese culture, you'll be very confused.

Secondly, if you don't speak Japanese, a lot of the puns will fly over your head (though the fansubs certainly do their best to localize it).

If you'd rather not bother with Japanese cultural references, you're probably better off watching Nichijou. If you are interested, however, in talk about places such as Tokyo Tower and Skytree or references to Japanese politics in combination with wacky one-liners, you might like this anime.

I personally am enjoying it a lot, but honestly, around half the bits I thought were funny will probably not be understood ... by many Western fans, not to get all condescending about it. Those learning Japanese should definitely check it out, as it's heavy in wordplay and Japanese humor!

Where do I begin with how impressed I am by this short comedy?

I admit, I'm biased-I like shows where cute girls do cute things. Though these certainly aren't Lucky Star moeblobs. It's basically the same concept, but the stuff these girls talk about remind me of what I would talk about with friends. Bodies are weird, okay, and there's nothing wrong with wondering if curtains always match the carpet.

Story: Not much real story. But there was a moment that surprised me-in the middle of the silly skits you'd expect out of a short SoL comedy, there was a surprisingly real moment. It was ... deep, yo. The character learned something, and tried to change for the better afterwards. A+

Art: Not my favorite, but it's passable.

Sound: NGL I hate the opening song. It's annoyingly catchy but not actually a good song?

Character: Character personalities are great. Even by looking at their names you can tell what archetype they are, and then they, especially Galko, go on to defy those stereotypes.
I will say one thing though: Galko's hair is effing ridiculous.

Enjoyment: 11/10 short enough to keep my equally short attention span.

Overall: Bottom line, if you like eavesdropping on cute girls having mildly vulgar conversations, watch this anime, you voyeur. Those in search of plot or true fanservice or action... what are you even on Galko's page for?
