Let me tell you a bit about myself. My name is Rex, I'm from Clearwater, FL, I'm 17 years of age, I'm a complete(and proud) weirdo, and I'm very much hooked on anime, manga, and video games. My guilty pleasure is watching really bad ecchi and/or harem anime. I just enjoy laughing at how bad they are, and I can't get enough of them. I'm also a huge fan of yuri/shoujo ai manga.
My favorite anime is Mushishi. I'm also an avid fan of Fairy Tail, and I will wait forever until it comes back, and I will, at some point, read the manga.
My favorite kind of anime are romcoms, mysteries, and thrillers. I'm always up for a good kiss scene, and I dont mind ecchi or fan service, but sometimes it just gets distasteful. I hate mecha, the reason being that I think giant robots fighting is dumb and cliche. If you have any questions, have any suggestions, just want to rant, or just chat, please send me a message or post a comment on my profile.
In my list, in the tags area I sometimes put down why I liked the anime, why I hated the anime, why I felt uneasy by the anime, if it was a bad ending, or if it was a good ending.
The way I rate anime:
(10):Masterpiece, entirely incredible
(9):Fantastic, all expectations were shattered, and then some
(8):Great, solid and exceptional piece
(7):Good, very enjoyable all/most of the way through, and it did not disappoint
(6):Okay, enjoyable sometimes, but lacks in certain areas
(5):Means the anime was average
(4):Means the anime was bad, and barely enjoyable
(3):Means the anime was super bad, but there might have been one good aspect about it
(2):Means the anime wasn't a total disaster, but was still terrible
(1):Means I didn't like a single thing about the anime and it was difficult to watch
Anime Milestones:
200th anime completed: Toaru Majutsu no Index
250th anime completed: Kuragehime
300th anime completed: Little Witch Academia
i guess but it's still the same concept. and i think it's picking up, hopefully based urobuchi don't fuck it up with the fairly predictable direction of the next episode
how are you liking gargantia? my only problem with it so far is that he had no problem killing a fleet of pirates but is now having ptsd over slaughtering squidkids.
How am I attacking your interests? If that was the case then I'd be saying yuri manga is shit and you have shit taste. I didn't do that now, did I? Besides, I do that regularly to other people so - no, I don't think it's low.
I was just suggesting branching out and reading other genres, and wondering how you don't get bored reading the same type of story over and over. Calm down yo.
I only ever watched the first season of Aria, didn't feel like continuing on with the rest at the time. But yeah... you should stop reading all that yuri stuff, I really don't see the appeal in that but aren't you interested in any other genres?
I haven't bothered reading any manga but I know the first things I'd read.
I don't mind unexciting. Lain and Texhnolyze are some of my favorite shows and they're about as uneventful as it gets.
I've also watched Aria, Mononoke, and some of Kino's Journey which have the same tone as Mushishi and are all highly rated. To tell the truth, none of them really appealed to me. I recognize the artistic merits and that it's a well put together series, but it just isn't really my flavor. Although my taste has been refined since I last watched any of those series so I'll have to give it another shot when I'm feeling up to it.
Honestly, I wasn't planning on watching any currently airing shows for the next few seasons, since my backlog list is probably long enough to be considered a novel. I only stumbled on OreGairu since I'm new to anime, thought I'd check out a slice of life, and bam, no 4th episode. Now, I'm kind of stuck watching OreGairu, but I want to cross out my backlog before I jump in to new stuff.
Oh hey there Holy Facade. Emm... I might get to it sometime. It just bored the hell outta me when I first watched it and I just couldn't do it anymore.
