The story was pretty good, with the two main characters Gareki and Nai getting involved with Circus, as well as the Varuga and Kafka. The pacing was done well, but even though it was only a 13 episode anime, I personally feel that it wrapped up quite nicely. Even though you are still stuck with the question of "What happened to Uro? What about Palned?", the future for characters like Gareki are shown, and thus end the anime without too many loose ends. I liked the story line, and the humor they put in every once in a while was enjoyable. The main characters, Nai, ... Gareki, Yogi, and Tsukumo, spent a lot of time in the hospital, though. But when they go out on a mission, something very entertaining always happens.

The art was amazing. It was really colorful without being gaudy. The animation was fluid and not bothersome to watch at all. The way the characters were drawn, from the eyes to their outfits was outstanding. Even extra characters, like the nurses and children, were drawn meticulously and looked great. The way the Varuga were drawn was done very well. The fact that they are colored black makes it obvious when someone or something is a Varuga and it is a nice contrast to the constant colors.

The music and voices in this anime are on-point. The opening is Henai no Rondo by GRANRODEO, who also sang many openings for Kuroko's Basketball. The graphics are great in the opening. They immediately show all the characters, and show the relationship between Gareki and Nai. It was timed well and after they show the characters, they all get 2-4 seconds to show their abilities. The ending was nice, because it was a little Niji (you'll learn about them in the anime) running up as all the characters that showed up, even in only 2 episodes, are slowly scrolled down. It is a very pleasant song called Reason by KAmiYU. The soundtrack was great. I liked listening to it and some of the songs consisted of a piano or some string instruments. It did a good job of setting the mood and it was enjoyable to listen to it. The voices were on point. Gareki, being the cold person he was, was played by Hiroshi Kamiya (Noragami: Yato, Durarara: Izaya Orihara). Nai was played by Hiro Shimono (Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai: Katsuragi Keima) and had an innocent tone to his voice. Yogi was played by Mamoru Miyano (Death Note: Yagami Light) and he brought Yogi's character to life. Tsukumo was played by Aya Endou (Lucky Star: Miyuki Takara) and portrayed Tsukumo's character as a Kuudere very well.

The characters were very interesting. The design for each of them was unique and different. However, with so many characters, some of them were not developed as much as one may like. The character development for Gareki was done well as Gareki went from a cold person who thought of people as enemy, prey, or nothing, to someone who cared about his friends in Circus. Nai's soul became stronger while he was still kind to people around him, easily considering one he just met a friend. Yogi went through a sudden transformation in one of the episodes, resulting in a deeper character than one may think. Tsukumo became more social and more friendly towards people on the Second Ship.

I really enjoyed this anime. It is one of my favourites. I was first attracted to it by its art style, and I really enjoyed watching the characters go through many ordeals with the Varuga. I don't have a favourite character (because I love so many of them) but I do have a least favourite. The action scenes were well paced, and the animation was top notch. The story was interesting and had a small but shocking plot twist at the end, and the soundtrack was one of the nicest one person can hear, in my opinion.

The story was excellent. The main characters were quickly introduced, and the action, a.k.a the problem, was shown very early in the anime. The plot was very gripping, with lots of fan service. But I personally think it was too much because they tried to add it in any way possible, especially during the action sequences. The horror part of the anime might be quite scary to a young viewer, but it adds in to the story. You see some characters die off quickly (FYI not a spoiler because I don't say who, and it happens right in the beginning) and it was very good ... to watch as the group of high school kids had to fight right at the beginning. It was a very action oriented anime, so there was rarely a dull moment.

The art was great. I really liked how they drew each individual character, as well as the zombies. Each character had their art style, making it more easy to remember their faces, as well as their own "trademark" such as a sword, a gun, a spear, glasses, and so on. The artists also drew guns very well. The guns were drawn well in SAO, but HOTD drew them more realistically and it felt more real because there was a huge recoil when the characters shot them, unlike when guns were shot in GGO. Anything found in real life was drawn exceptionally well, such as helicopters, motorcycles, and bridges. In the action scenes, the artwork was clear and sharp. It is high quality animation.

The opening is quite good, and they change the ending song very often. The opening is filled with vivid colors and the synchronization of the pictures/frames were timed really well. It starts off slow, but then increases its speed, while giving plenty of fan service. For the ending, it was just a bulletin board filled with pictures of the characters enjoying themselves. It was a good moment to unwind with because the songs were usually more mellow. It can be a bad thing, though, because after an action filled episode, when it suddenly goes to a mellow song, it can kind of ruin the mood. However, the graphics were great, with the creators changing the first photo depending on where the characters were, or where the story has ended.

The character development starts immediately, with them changing from average high school kids to zombie killers in a matter of episodes. They also reveal parts of their past as well as their parents' occupations and in Hirano's case, his grandparents as well (which incorporated some good comedy). I enjoyed watching the characters split up every once in a while, as well, because it reveals more and more about them. My only complaint about them was that 4 out of the 6 were really annoying. Hirano and Saeko were really good characters, but Takashi was, in my opinion, useless and was just there to give a decent pep talk. The nurse, just, *sighs and face palms* she doesn't heal anyone from what I've seen, so she's pretty damn useless. There's Takagi, who has such a bad personality that I want her to be eaten by "them" And Rei...she just needs a man but she's really needy. I'm not a fan of those.

I quite enjoyed it. I was reluctant at first because I'm not a big fan of female fan service (I'm a girl) but I really enjoyed watching it. The action scenes were fast paced, some lives were lost, noble moments, and vulgar moments, it all came together into a great action and horror anime.

It was a very enjoyable anime. I was curious about it after watching an AMV.

There isn't much story, it's more of a "bits-and-pieces", "daily lives" kind of story. However, the one entire story is where a goat is the villain and steals money just to eat it, and there is a wolf detective who can derive information from hair. (It might sound really bad, but it's pretty good) Does an anime have to make sense to be great? I would say it was a pretty good and funny story because even though it was more of a Slice of Life anime, it added good comedy ... when applicable. The story is meant for comedy, so it gives us a good laugh while maintaining action between detectives and the villain.

The art of the characters was very appealing. Inaba Hiroshi is very handsome, the other main detective seems serious and cares about his work, and Inaba's 2 assistants both look capable and reliable. If you ignore that one of them is a trap. XD

The opening was quite good and was there to show the action in the anime, and introduce the characters within 1:30, but the ending was there for comedic effect, having Don Valentino (the goat) sing. It was meant just to loosen the viewer up and it was the cherry on top for a comedic anime like this.

As the anime progresses, no matter how comedic an anime this is, you are able to see Inaba's backstory as well as another wolf detective that plays an important role. You also see the trap's assistant's relationships change, especially with Ogino (other main detective). Kei, the other assistant, also changes his views on the odd-ball group and ends up fitting in within the first few episodes.

I really enjoyed the anime. It was a good one to kick back with and relax with. If you were having a stressful day, I recommend watching this anime to unwind. It has comedy, action, a touch of feels, and is a great anime. Unfortunately, I think this anime doesn't get the attention it deserves.

My friend had introduced it to me and it was a great anime movie.
Hotaru, (main heroine and protagonist) was lost in a forest as a young child where she met a boy named Gin who covered his face in a mask. Hotaru could only go visit Gin in the summer, so the movie mostly focused on Hotaru's summers, except for one glimpse at her winter months.

The story was great. It showed Hotaru grow up each time she went to visit Gin, and you could see her develop from a clumsy, young child to a mature, healthy young woman. Meanwhile, the movie fills you with ... a sense of sadness because Gin never changes making you think that Hotaru would leave Gin behind. It had Romance and the heart-warming moments. But I was so frustrated. I wanted them to fall in love and hug! (but Gin can't be touched by a human or else he'll disappear) It was frustrating to watch, but the story and ending was excellent. However in all of the anime movies I've seen, it always leaves a cliffhanger. It always feels like there's one last bit missing before the movie can actually conclude. It will fill you with a HUGE feeling of sadness as the 45 min "episode" ends.

The art was mediocre in my opinion, but for a movie, I think it was pretty good. Nothing looked out of proportion in the faces, and I was so excited to see Gin's face because most of the time, he has the mask to cover his face. Hotaru's character design from a young girl to a teenager was very smooth in terms of design.

The sound track wasn't amazing in my opinion. However, the opening had a slightly quirky feel to it. The sound track was good at setting the mood, but it doesn't leave any emphasis towards any scene.

The character design and development is excellent. If you took the characters out of the anime and put them together, they really are a very good match. Hotaru's development was excellent, one of the best I have seen before. You see her go from a young girl who got lost in the forest, to an older girl who would enjoy Gin's company, to a teenager who realized her feelings. Gin's development wasn't as evident, but you see him accepting Hotaru's kindness more, and eventually, developing feelings for her.

I really enjoyed watching this movie. It really knows how to develop a good, heart-warming, and tear-jerking story and develop great characters. The creators really knew where to hit you in the feels. I would really recommend it to people who enjoy a nice, sweet, romance with a girl's first love.

In my own opinion, this is one of my favourite winter anime of 2015.

To start off, the story was very intriguing. After all, it has an octopus teacher capable of destroying 70% of the moon. The fact that junior high kids were also trained to be assassins really struck a chord with me. I thought it was quite an original story, and I have never watched an anime like this. However, some characters do not develop as much as I would have liked. The creators did develop most of the important characters such as Nagisa, Karma, and a few other characters, meanwhile the rest of ... the class stayed rather stagnant in terms of developing, and we only learn one or two things about them. The villains were also well created, giving them an authentic feel. They aren't average villains who would rob a bank, but would instead create plots that would prove to be a large problem for 3-E. One problem that I saw, though, was the comedy proved to be a bit repetitive and annoying.

The art style was great. In terms of quality, it was very good, with clear lines and defined faces. They make some lines on a characters' face thicker, which creates an excellent effect. It was a very refreshing art style, and none of the characters looked out of place in the classroom.

The soundtrack and sound effect of this anime were excellent. The music has a very unique sound to it and really helps to set the mood. Whether it be a happy moment, or an intense moment, the soundtrack was great and I personally loved the way it sounded. It added more emphasis to any scene, especially the ones that had darker moments. The sound effects sounded natural and not artificial.

Character development was a bit slow, and the director only developed a few main characters. I would have liked to see Koro-sensei develop more, but he didn't really say anything about his past. At best, there were a few flashbacks, but that was it. Karasuma and Irina don't develop much as well, but seeing both of them change to adapt to the conditions that were set in the classroom was very interesting. I enjoyed seeing Nagisa and Karma develop. When you first look at Nagisa, since he was in 3-E, he was often made fun of. But throughout the anime, you slowly start to see him develop into more and more of an assassin. Karma's development became really evident in the second half of the anime. I really enjoyed seeing his character change, and personally, he is my favorite character.

I enjoyed watching this anime. I have rewatched it, and I enjoyed every second of it. I waited for Friday to come so I could watch it. However, after the 11th episode, it stopped coming out temporarily, before resuming again.
Overall, I really liked this anime. it was great, with an original story, great soundtrack, and a unique array of characters. I only wish that there was more developing of the story and characters.
