Hi everyone! I'm new to MAL, and still in the process of updating my lists, but I'm a huge fan of manga/anime. ^ ^ Though, I must admit I'm a newbie compared to everyone on MAL. I read a lot more manga than I watch anime, simply because I get through series much faster if I read them. However, I love anime a lot! :3
I'm from the Pacific Northwest in the United States and I love rain, books, art, and socializing. My hobbies include painting, drawing, playing the piano, tennis, reading, and so much more! I love reading manga and watching anime whenever I get the chance. My favorite genres are shoujo, josei, and supernatural, but I love almost anything with a good plot and nice art! :3 I love getting/giving recommendations, and conversing about manga/anime with people, so feel free to say hi!

liked what you said in yr. blog in regards to live-action versions of anime/manga - i agree 100% - when you put my favorite art form in live-action form it loses all it's romance/mystique - recently saw a clip of the new ranma1/2 tv show - so bad it was funny!

greetings from octal9 - thanks for friending me back - i was amazed at how similar our favorites were! also checked out yr. blog - don't be embarrassed to be an inuyasha fan, it's one of the best anime/mangas ever! some things you should check out: shiki - amazing very new/different take on vampires - it avoids all the cliches ; clover - amazing clamp manga - some of my favorite art ever! ; maison ikkoku - one of my all time most loved manga/anime romances by one of my favorite mangakas rumiko takahashi ; last and definitely not least - anything by the father of modern manga/anime osamu tezuka (astroboy, pheonix, buddha, black jack, etc)... bye for now... p.s. - check out eve no jikan - i recently watched this and was completely blown away - one of the most touching explications on what it means to love, whether human or robot (a la chobits)

Lucky Star is awesome :D
my all-time favorite is Lucky Star...but other notables are Clannad, Kanon (2006), Baccano!, Toradora!, xxxHOLiC Kei, ef - a tale of memories, ef - a tale of melodies, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni...basically anything i rated a 9 or 10.

cool...i started in 2005 but it was in 2010 that i saw 156 out of the 409 anime shows that is on my completed list.
