Greetings, and welcome to my profile. My name is Liana, and I'm 30 years old. Since I fail at photoshop and the like, you'll have to make do with the wall of text. Sorry. :P
The first anime I ever saw was Voltron, when I was a toddler in the 80s. That obviously does not count. The first anime I recall watching was Robotech, again in the 80s--this time I was barely in elementary school, and actually my dad was the one watching it. I just happened to catch it every now and then. This also does not count. My gateway drug, the first show I ever loved enough to look up online and discover it came from the Land of the Rising Sun, was Sailor Moon. It was the summer of 1998, it was on Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block, and I was 16. While no longer my favorite, I still adore it to this day (flaws and all XD).
Therefore, I have been an anime fan for 14 years.
It's been an up-and-down relationship so far. 1998-2002 was solely television--that's the way it had to be with no source of income and high-speed internet being nonexistant then. 2002-2004 I kinda burned out on it. 2004-2006 was still mostly tv, since I was back in school and did have a lot of cash. 2006 I started this job, and started buying like crazy. 2007 to 2009, I also started with fansubs while continuing to buy like crazy--that's why my completion list is mostly from this time, and why my collection is so large. XD
I resisted manga for a long time, preferring the movement of animation, but loved Cardcaptor Sakura so much I wanted to check out the show had differed from the original version. For about three years after that, I mostly stuck to series whose anime counterparts I had already seen. 2007/2008 was when I really started getting into it. Don't really like scanlations--I like holding the book in my hand. I do keep up with a few series online, though--I have an almost violent aversion to spoilers.
Non-anime hobbies: reading, writing, baking, sleeping, being lazy
Loves: my husband, my son, my nephews, my parents, college basketball
Faves: Friends, Battlestar Galactica (tv), Lord of the Rings, Robin Hood: Men in Tights (movies), His Dark Materials, the Outlander series (books), Steely Dan, Fall Out Boy (bands), Final Fantasy VII, Final Fantasy IV (games)
I have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, and worked at a credit union since two weeks after I graduated. I also lived in the same city until I was 27. Then I met, befriended, fell in love with, married, moved across country to, and had the children of this guy. XD

Top Ten All-Time OPs/EDs
--as a rule, they have to be older than a year, and I have to have first heard them over a year ago. This keeps off too many current songs I'll probably only be into while I'm watching the show ^.^.....this was hard.... No order.
Thanks for reading, and feel free to to chat/friend/anything. I'm always happy to meet new people who share my interests. And if you read all this, thanks. ^_^;
Things Now Owned By Me That You Can't Have, Nyah Nyah Nyah :P
Nice, great to hear you enjoyed it! It's definitely going to be considered a classic in the future. Anyway, got RE6... Wish me luck! Lots of polarizing opinions on the game!
Oh, alright. Hope I didn't bother you. I managed to snag it tuesday, and it was selling out fast at Target, probably because both BR/DVD, BR/DVD/3D packs were $20! Could't resist that price. Hopefully, you'll enjoy it! Not saying it's the best movie ever, but it really is good, at the very least!
Thanks lol. All four films look and sound great, and are still as awesome as ever. Anyway, I think you're going to enjoy the movie at the very least! My little brother said he may buy it, so I'm excited to watch it again myself!
