lol yeah it is pretty confusing ..
For the difference between づ and ず .. That one is a weird one .. For what I understand it has something to do with dialect and just which person is using it ..
ず would be pronounced as 'zu' and づ as 'dzu'

Nah I wasn't ignoring you .. :P I just finished my marathon of Death Note with my friend ^^ I saw it for the second time now ^^ We saw all episodes in a row, just look at my history XD
Hmm try to explain this.
つ is just the Hiragana sign for 'tsu'.. nothing more than that
っ .. Ugh this is harder to explain .. Just some random words from Japanese wiki:
になった .. ninatta
If the word was without the っ, になた it would be ninata
Same for
からとって .. karatotte
If the word was without the っ, からとて it would be karatote
It make the syllable longer or whatever .. For what purpose .. I am not sure myself yet xD

lol ok .. I could have figured you would have known that .. But you should learn Hiragana and Katakana in one go .. since both are the same syllables but other symbols .. since Katakana is most likely used for English words and foreign names .. ^^
So that site is awesome to learn .. Hmm it really doesn't take a lot of time to memorize the symbols .. In a while, when you see the symbol, you know how to pronounce it ... The difficult part is the other way around, when you see the Romaji, the write the symbol yourself .. I still have difficulty in doing so ..

You mean Hiragana and Katakana ^^ Romaji is using the Latin Alphabet (A-Z) to show how to pronounce a Japanese word, or any other language which doesn't use the Latin Alphabet.
Anyways, this is the place where I learned Hiragana and Katakana.

Just do the first 2 quizzes so many times that you almost die .. Right before that you should know them :P Use 5-choice quiz!
I did that .. And right after that I went to the Japanese Lessons .. I skipped the crap in between. The Japanese Lessons are sentences.. that is where the hard stuff begins :P
Not to mention that Kanji is even harder .. And I don't know when I will do that ^^"

ちくび = chikubi .. In English that would be Nipple
ピンク = pinku .. Pink in English .. as it is Katakana, most likely used for English words..
So yeah, it should be OK :P
