Oh I wish you the best of luck to find something great. Did you try to apply at some places in particular?

I had made a few steps into the field of illustrator/graphic designer, I think if i were actually able to produce pieces on a professional way, I would have totally gotten into the video game industry. I'm guessing this is where you're headed too, and 2 of my best friends are in this field. I just... I visited the ''Centre NAD'' and a bit of Ubi Montreal and I think these look like the coolest work environment I've ever seen. Ah, who knows. Maybe I'll try to find a way to contribute to the video game industry with my language skills? Anyway, I'm sure you'll find something amazing soon enough.

Also, about your last comment's ...comment on my works, I appreciate it very much. I know I already thanked you but it really does mean a lot to me. ; P

auf Wiedersehen!

Ahh, it's true, I forgot about hipsters! We can't get away from it, it seems.

That's too bad for your big paragraph, I would have loved to read it.

Your program sounds interesting, what was it about? Is it for a job that you went to Vancouver?

Elleir | 10-14-12, 6:52 PM
Well, I am ''behind schedule'' on my studying path; I just got my high school degree this spring and I'm trying cégep tomorrow, actually. I'm old enough to go directly to University which I would have highly preferred, but I'm still not used to a full-time school schedule and I'm not sure if I could drop out like I did many times before. Cégep is a test run for me, and it's a 2 year pre-uni program, so why not. I'm going to Cégep de Rosemont, do you know anything about it?

That's cool if you went to Concordia! I was considering the option to go there once in Uni. I'm hesitating between Concordia and UdeM, but I really like how Concordia left me with somewhat of an artsy impression, but as opposed to a Uni like UQAM, the student actually look like wise, interesting people instead of often dumb and disappointing hippie-wannabes. Hah, I don't really know how to explain it otherwise. ^^' In what program did you study?

How is it where you are? The west looks interesting, I wish I could take some time and visit soon. All I know is that Vancouver is a very clean city, and the natural environments are breathtaking. What would you miss about Montreal that you can't find in Vancouver(and vice versa)?

Man, somebody else told me something likely about my style this month, I think it's one of the greatest comments anybody can receive on their work. I just don't see how you can find mine so different! Haha. But I'm definitely taking the compliment. Thank you again so much. <3

Oh boy, thank you so much for that kind comment! I do take commissions from time to time. I'm glad you like what I do so much. <3

I'm actually about to begin my classes in modern languages. I never really took any classes for drawing or painting, I've always been self-taught. I don't think I would become a full-time illustrator though, I have other interests that could professionally benefit me, instead of relying only on my art skills, which would probably drain the catharsis effect it has when I'm at work.

I started Ergo Proxy, it looks very intriguing so far. I know just a tiny bit about Bokurano, but I'm scared it ends up being a bit shallow. I'll probably try it some time though, thanks for the suggestions! :3

So I just finished NGE last Wednesday. I do see the rushing and the budget going downhill near the end of the second season, but I actually really liked it overall. I can understand people being frustrated over the last episode because it's true it's really hectic, and my friend made a parallel that made me laugh:

''It's like they promise you a huge poutine, but give you a hamburger instead. I mean, a burger is good, but you still really hunger for a poutine.''

Now I'm hesitating to watch Birth and Death before starting 2.0. Since it would be just the same thing as the series, I guess I'm better off just starting the movie series. Are Birth & Death + some parts of the movies from the same animation bits and pieces as the series? Also, is it all made with original voice actors? I could find that on my own, though, sorry to bug you with this.

Where do you live, now? No problem about moving out, it's just an easier way to start a conversation for me, I guess. I hope you don't mind me just popping out of no where like that, though. ; P

Last question: would you have any recommendation related to something in the likes of NGE and Lain?

Elleir | 09-24-12, 8:58 AM
Hey there.

I'm trying to find people from Montreal with the same interests as me in anime series or manga, and so far they're pretty hard to find! However, it's nice to see there's FLCL in your favorites, and we have a little bunch in common.

I just started with Evangelion a week or two ago, and I really hope I won't be deceived. I started watching it after seeing so many parallels brought up on Kaiba and Serial Experiments Lain forum discussions and it seriously picked my curiosity. I don't want to be spoiled or anything, but does Evangelion really has the same depth as those two I mentioned above?

Thank you! ^o^
They're Ao (left) and Kotoha from Yozakura Quartet.
The manga is very interesting, a supernatural and slice-of-life story where there's action and mystery and such, but the way it's told is like on a day-to-day basis, sorta. The story centers on a town where demons (in this manga, they're just creatures from another world) and humans co-exist. Something is going to happen to the town (can't say 'cause then I'll be spoiling it ^^) and the main characters are looking for a way to stop it. Can't say that much more because part of the enjoyment when you read this manga is slowly finding out everything that's going on; you find out at the same time the characters do, etc.

Sorry for the rambling, but I just really like this series :D
BTW, Ao is a demon who can read minds and Kotoha is a "fallen human"; she was possessed by a demon, and after she was exorcised she acquired the power to summon things with just words.

Hiro-san | 02-02-10, 12:22 PM
Oh wow, nice!
I wish I could find an anime pic that looks like me xD
Well, if you find out from your friend let me know!
'Cause the pic is really cute ^^

k0k0 | 02-01-10, 8:48 AM
Do post it. If you've given me false hopes you're dead. =P

Really? Some events were unexplained but I didn't find much to complain about. Infact, it was delightful since it was one of those rare anime with a complete ending.
But yes, not something all would be fond of. But I know you'll like Durarara.
