Hmm, we didn't agree to a specific year. I stated that, for instance, that maybe in 20 years if you wanted to watch an anime you loved as a kid, the chances of finding it would be beyond difficult. That was just an example, as I also used "10 years" as an example too. What I'm saying is, like how the manga industry is driving down these manga sites, it'll eventually attack the anime distributers online as well, and even harder. Individual torrents probably won't be targeted, but the larger groups, such as Thoranime, will eventually be brought down. Over the years, these anime's will dwindle down. I'm by no means saying that anime piracy will stop, but what I am saying is that an anime from 2005 or 2006 will eventually lose its acknowledgement in the years to come, and if and when the anime industry hits, those anime's will become even harder to obtain.

It seems Onemanga is being shut down now as well, like Mangafox. This was my initial point in the stream and downloading thread, where the anime producers are cracking down much harder on this stuff. Manga is treated similarly in Japan, and so, when sites like Viz are able to shut down sites like Mangafox, Onemanga, as well as other manga sites, they'll gain this power through anime as well. They'll probably crack down harder since anime's distributed more widely. What I was representing was that if you store the anime you love, and the anime industry does become harder on piracy (like the manga industry), you won't have to worry about attaining those series. Piracy is illegal, and with the internet at everyone's full disposal, anime industry's aren't going to keep quiet forever. Your downloads won't always be so readily available.
