(Re-posting due to cleaning up some of my thoughts and correcting some spelling mistakes)

Story: (3) The problem with Tenchi In Tokyo starts with the plot. The creators of this story came up with this neat concept of Tenchi living in Tokyo as a shrine boy, but failed to bring the most important aspect of the show with them... the girls. Instead they create this vapid girl who doesn't have a personality to take the place of the girls left at home. The charm of the Tenchi series is the fact that Tenchi loves all of these girls unconditionally and surrounds himself with ... family due to the pain of losing his mother early in his life, so the plot device that he leaves them all behind and falls for another girl entirely, doesn't work out. Canon Tenchi would never do this, he knows choosing a girl would hurt the others in the house and do you not believe for a second that Washu would not be able to create some portals to make the living space cozy for all? Come on now!

Art: (5) The art seemed okay, but it wasn't up to par with the other Tenchi series. There was a ton of deformed art and towards the end it was riddled with lazy animation made to fill up the episode. Some of the character designs didn't look right.

Sound: (7) The sound was good. Nobodies voice got annoying with the exception for Yugi's. The only bone I have to pick is the lead background sound track. It became very repetitive and obnoxious after awhile.

Character: (3) Next to the plot this is another pitfall the series had. The characters were decimated in this. The girls were dumbed down to argue and fight among themselves more then usual. Everyone became almost of character of themselves. The most notable were Tenchi and Washu, but everyone's character pretty much got spanked. Tenchi turned into a loner of a character who almost just wanted to be left alone all the time, snapping off at anyone who bothered him. He became downright blasphemous to the original series, seemingly uncaring about the girls feelings towards him, downright scolding them at times for even visiting him, refusing to even spend time with them. Washu, who is usually the voice of reason and usually the helping hand, became even sillier then she was in Universe. Her main shtick became creating inventions only for them to backfire and blow up in her face. And the rest of the girls could not even hold part time jobs/attend normal public functions without ruining something, something their counterparts could actually do until Ryoko or Mihoshi found some way to mess it up. Then there is Sakuya and Yugi. Two characters you just wish the series never introduced. The problem with Sakuya is her constant stalking of Tenchi, making him feel bad for not originally returning her feelings, and constantly demanding he forget about his family in favor of her. Why? This doesn't make sense. He's known her all of a week or two when she is first heavily put into the story. He has known the girls for two years according to show canon. And another problem with Tenchi is he actually eventually listens to her, something that is STILL baffling to me. The problem with Yugi is the constant villain shoving we get with her. If Yugi isn't shown at least three times an episode, you aren't watching Tenchi In Tokyo.

Enjoyment: (5) With that said, there was some aspects of this story that were Tenchi like and that I enjoyed, but it didn't make up for how poor this story was. I would almost say this is a dark comedy, because some parts with the girls are hilarious, but at the original characters expense. I would also say this series could have possibly been shortened to 12 episodes to clean the plot up more, 26 seemed to be milking the series a bit to much.

Overall: (5) I was going to give this series a 4, but there was SOME redeeming factors, just not many. I would only recommend this story as something to watch if you have an open mind and are looking for more Tenchi after watching the OVA's and Universe, but be mindful because some aspects of this series can be very infuriating at times. Watch/rewatch the Tenchi OVA's and Universe first. Those are the best in my opinion.

Story: As far as One Piece movies go before this one, this story is the most fresh and close to cannon as possible. The Straw Hats, short on money due to their captains endless stomach, enter a pirate race in order to earn some fast cash. Only, this race isn't what it's cracked up to be. Unlike the last few movies before this one, which follow pretty much the same design, this movie seems to be different and unique.

Art: The art was great and kept with the original animation, with some enhancements due to being a movie. There was some lazy ... animation using show flashbacks, but it was to improve and explain the story so I didn't mind them much.

Sound: The sound was really great. Up to this point in the show, sometimes you could tell the voice actors were in a room shouting their lines, in this movie, you couldn't hear that. Also, the themes swelled up at just the right times to create great musicality.

Characters: This was the department where the movie hit it's snag and earned it's no 10 outcome. They had an annoying kid. Every One Piece movies downfall with me has been the tired but true annoying kid character. Nobody likes the annoying kid. They should just leave the annoying kid out, but I don't live in Japan and who knows, the annoying kid could be another annoying kids hero or something. Also, the villain seemed to be a hodgepodge of the different villains prior on the TV show. Other then that, everything else was fine. All of the other characters were left in tact and useful. It was nice to see Robin's power used.

Enjoyment: I got a lot of enjoyment of of the film. It was longer then the other movies previous and a lot to sit through, but it never got boring. I only stopped to go back to a funny part or to read what everyone was saying in the background.

Overall: A great movie. I wasn't expecting much with the previous movies leaving me a tad disappointed, but this one made up for all of them. A great watch and I'm sure I'll be re-watching it in the future. A must watch if you are a fan and want to watch a good One Piece movie. Skip the others before this one and watch this one instead.

After the complete sleeper Naruto Move 3 proved to be, I wasn't expecting much when I slid the first Shippuuden movie into my DVD player. I did have some expectations that I would enjoy the movie, because of what I have seen of Shippuuden, but I wasn't expecting to be blown away. I wasn't, but I did enjoy the film non the less.

Story: The story was original to Naruto. Never had the series, cannon or filler, dealt with a Priestess storyline. However, that doesn't mean it wasn't prone to mistakes. Towards the end of the movie, you were just ... faced with so much plot to chew. Things were getting thrown at you and you had no real way of digesting them. You had no idea how things were going to go. The movie also was a bit choppy when it came to plot twists. They came out of nowhere. Just when you think you had something figured out, something would come completely out of left field. It was a bit refreshing though. So many Naruto filler arcs were so predictable, that it was nice to see something you could not figure out right away.

Art: The art wasn't horrible, but it wasn't very good. The flashback sequences towards the end of the film reminded you that this was still Naruto with the lazy animation. They still cut corners and reuse footage. The animation of the stone soldiers was also straight up weird. It left me looking for my pair of 3D glasses. Why did they animate them that way?

Sound: Sound was very good. The background music always swelled up at the right moments to create a great mood. I'm not tried of that lead Shippuuden backing track yet. It provides great moments. Also, no voice actors voice was annoying and Junko outdid herself this movie with all of Naruto's little speech patterns. However, the inner monologues sounded odd, like they were using weird mics. It sounded like they were talking into shoe boxes.

Characters: The new character was interesting. I liked her and I really liked how she bonded with Naruto. Out of all the past movie characters, I'd have to say she resonated the best with him and seemed to listen and take his advice the best. Also, her and Naruto had awesome chemistry. It wasn't forced at all. The bad guys were a little disappointing, but I have to praise them for not going with the typical 3 man bad guy squad that they normally do. Also, why was Temari randomly there? Did they feel bad about leaving her out of the second movie or something? It was really odd.

Enjoyment: I really enjoyed the movie. I wasn't left watching the clock and I really got into the movie. I also enjoyed the element of comedy they brought in this time around. I found myself rewinding back a couple parts again and again.

Overall: 8 out of 10. It had it's faults, but it rose above them and produced something pretty good.

I was in 10th grade when I saw my first five minutes of Naruto, I promptly shut off the TV and went on with my daily life. However, over the years, I began to want to know what the story was about, so I picked up the manga. From reading the manga, I learned the best way to enjoy Naruto is in sections. The minute it started to annoy me, I put it down and read something else. The same applies to the anime. It's just to big to fully enjoy it in one go and eventually the story will ... grate on you.

Story: The story is pretty good. It follows the plot of the manga really well. I even enjoyed some of the filler arcs. What they brought to the table as far as expanding on manga plot, was really interesting. What lacked though was they tended to repeat the same plot line in the fillers, which got to be annoying.

Art: The art was fair. It was nice to see the village and characters in color, but the animation tended to be lazy. For manga plots, episodes seemed to go on and on and showed repeated animation. For example, how many scenes do we need of Kiba floating down a river holding a branch over his head? One or two would suffice, but I lost count at five because of how ridiculous it was getting.

Sound: The sound was very good. I loved the soundtrack to the show. The music never failed to hype me up and it made me shed a few tears during emotional moments. As a lover of music, it really makes or breaks a show for me as far as emotional connection goes.

Character: They did a good job with the manga characters, however, the same does not apply to the filler characters. They were so forgettable, I would forget there names right after there arc would end. They also didn't have personality. The only filler character I remotely cared about was Isaribi, who I had to look up to even remember her name. They also all tended to act the same in every arc.

Enjoyment: The series was enjoyable. I looked forward to every box set I got in the mail. When it got to be annoying, I would shut it off for a few weeks until I gained interest again.

Overall: The series was fair. It had it's flaws and sometimes I asked myself if this was the same series I started off watching, but I would stop watching it for a few weeks and I would come back to it refreshed. To watch Naruto, you have to have an open mind and willpower to deal with the mass amount of filler. And you have to understand that if it is not for you, then it is not for you.

I bought this with every intention of really liking it, however, I could not find one thing I liked. In fact, if I had not gotten both volumes, I would have most likely dropped this title after the first clichéd chapter.

Story: The plot is heavily cliched for the first half of the book, then speeds up dramatically in the second part to where nothing makes sense and you are left wondering what is going on. It's just a series of unexplained plot points. There is no real flow to the story and it leaves the reader cold. We are told a ... lot of things, but never really shown anything. The romance between the main characters I found to be forced and unbelievable. It didn't feel like yuri at all. What would have made this better is if the story was given more chapters and volumes to grow. Everything gets squeezed into two volumes and the plot really suffers because of it and things feel unbelievable.

Art: The artwork is decent and nice to look at. Nobody looks the same, which is nice. However, the action scenes lack any kind of action. Which brings me back to the story. If this had been expanded, leaving more room for action scenes and better explanation of what was going on, the story would have flowed better. Instead, the artwork oftentimes uses lazy transitions and stuff randomly appears without explanation. It makes the reader very confused as to what is happening.

Characters: The characters are cliched and pathetic. I could not root for anyone, because I didn't know any of them. People were randomly thrown into scenes and once again we were told things about them, instead of shown things about them. None of them where properly fleshed out and none of them grew at all.

Enjoyment: It took me 24 days to complete this, because every time I thought about finishing this, I cringed. It was a chore to read.

Overall: I was very disappointed. I bought this thinking it was going to be a great yuri story only to find out it has a broken rollercoaster of a plot and a pathetic cast of stereotypical characters. I would not recommend this to anyone. Only read if you are into mindless yuri, fan service, and don't really care about plot.
