Haha yeah I agree, you can tell XSEED's is a more "faithful" translation in places (though it's interesting that they still kept Meryod an inbred hick town like WD's trans, not that I'm complaining). But overall I thought the "coming out party" was better in SSSC than SSH. It seemed more epic and "FFFFFF" than SSH, partly because of the dialogue, but also I think SSH didn't have the audio of Quark yelling in pain while Ghaleon laughed. I remember that part vividly from SSSC so when I saw the scene in SSH it felt very "meh." Of course, it's probably mostly nostalgia talking...I even missed the "Ghaleon, yess" part, lol.
Yeah I heard it's kinda like a dungeon crawler on rails, though that doesn't necessarily sound like a bad thing. Lol Tri-Ace, I love the PS1 Star Ocean game...

Oh nice, yeah I've only gotten through Damon's Spire, but I had to stop before the small maps and load times killed me lol. I guess for me SSS will always be the definitive version. Still, it was cool to relive the adventure.
Yeah I thought the re-translations of the songs were done well, especially the boat song, and it was pretty awesome that they even got Jenny Stigle on board (no pun intended, haha). What did you think about the retranslation of the dialogue then? And I'm guessing FFXIII is going well? I've heard mixed things about it, but I guess I shouldn't make any judgments until I play it myself.

I see, yeah I will look for it then, and maybe start playing the english patched Walking School haha. Speaking of Lunar, the release date for SSH got pushed back to March 2nd. :/
Yeah it's been on my to-watch list for a while, but only recently was I really convinced to watch it. I'm not so keen on the animation style but I heard the characters were really great.

Yeah same here. I guess they wanted to please the fans who wanted a Four Heroes adventure for Lunar 3 by making the prologue in SSH. Haha, I'd like a new Eternal Blue, but hopefully I will beat the original before another remake comes out. Also, thanks for friending me. :)

Nice, always good to meet a fellow Rabid Lunar Fan :] Yeah I think it's best to pretend that Dragon Song doesn't exist, lol. Have you played the new Walking School (Game Gear) translation by Aeon Genesis? I was super surprised they finished, I remember playing the partial translation by Kizyr in elementary school haha. Yeah I saw the youtube vids with the Four Heroes prologue, should be interesting...hopefully if Harmony sells well, they'll consider making a new Lunar, maybe about the Four Heroes, or anything, I don't mind as long as it doesn't turn out like Dragon Song :)
EB is great! It's funny because I didn't like much it when I was younger, but now that I'm older, for some reason I like it better and have been playing it constantly...

I preordered the special edition the day it was announced ;) Are you thinking of getting it?
I guess I'm just supporting it because it's Lunar, lol. The SSH demo was just okay...way too easy, and the newly-localized parts and most of the new voice overs are not too hot, but what can I say, I'm a rabid Lunar fan. As long as it's not Dragon Song-bad, I'll play it, haha.
