Hey, I put TTGL on hold quite a long time back, by the way, seeing as it's being released in the UK sometime in the near future... and also because it seemed to run out of steam, somewhat, or at least let up, between episodes 9 and 11. Can't really see the series surpassing the first 8 episodes, in any case, and so I've given up the will to watch it, currently.
But I do so love the over the top nature of the show, and it's more awesome than FLCL in that respect. Dead... manly.
Though it is highly probable, I wouldn't count on me rating it MUCH lower than you. I mean, it IS a Ganaix work, and they've made two of my (current) favourite anime, in FLCL and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
...
Oh yeah, and I ordered Cowboy Bebop again, so expect to throw a tantrum in the next wee while. :D

I'm watching it (TTGL) fansubbed at the moment, hoping that Beez, Bandai's UK distributor, take it into their hands to release the thing. When they do, and I'm certain they will eventually, I'll be right there.

But yeah: I typed up a 3000 word essay on why Elfen Lied deserved at least a positive rating. In said essay I discussed the many qualities which the show had and the meanings behind it. Suffice to say, it was also lost...
Too bad, eh. :P

Anyway, I personally don't think that Elfen Lied deserves your rating of one or my ten. It has too many flaws to rule out a perfect ten and so many qualities that it should avoid the lowest possible score. So I don't think either of us got it right... that said: I think I'm closer. Heheheh.
I should probably be watching Cowboy Bebop right now, but like... they only sell volumes 4 through 6 in a box where I'm at, and not the first three (they're out of stock [permenantly]). Hard luck. Scott out.

Howdy Neue. Yes, that Range Murata avatar is just too good to give up. Honestly it one of my all time faves, and this coming from someone who love to change avs a lot.
