Anime Origins
I first got into anime at the age of 15, which was when I discovered Sailor Moon and DBZ on Toonami in the afternoons. You know... back when Toonami was good? Yeah... Anyways... I soon became a DBZ fanatic. I don't know how I got into it, but I started getting ideas for DBZ fanfiction. Before then, I didn't know what fanfiction was, but I soon became addicted to that too. I found that I loved to write. Though... I'll talk more about that later. Despite being made fun of at school for liking what everyone else thought was children's cartoons, I kept watching more and more - all the anime I could get my hands on, which at the time wasn't much. I watched Toonami transform to the Midnight Run and was there when [adult swim] first started. About that same time, we got a Blockbuster near us in a new plaza and I discovered an anime section, so I watched all that they had. Eventually, I found out that people were fansubbing the anime that wasn't dubbed over here yet, and my anime world just exploded in a moment of awesome. I am now official addicted to anime, and it has become a big part of my life, and always will be. I'm going to be watching anime when I'm old, I guarantee you. XD
My Life Outside Anime
Currently, I'm a senior in college studying English/Literature with a minor in Communication arts. I'm also considering pursuing a second minor in women studies. During one of these women studies classes, I had to decide whether or not I was a feminist, and I decided that I am. What exactly does that mean, you ask? Well all it means is that I don't believe in the conventional gender roles and think everyone should have their own choice about things. Like... I have no desire to get married at a certain age (oh noes, I'm not married yet! I must be a failure at life and love!) or at all. I'm single and I like it that way. Oh, and having kids? Forget about it. If I ever do decide to be a mom, I think I'll end up adopting some cute asian kid or something. I have a very open mind about most things.
As I've said before, I love to write. I have several fanfictions going on over here. Though... in trying to watch as much anime as possible, read as much manga as possible, and be a regular member of the ASMB, writing has sort of taken a back seat, and I haven't written much lately at all except for chapters for the La Revolution fanfic. If there's anything else you wanna know, just ask. :)
