I'm an Englishman in my thirties living in Southern California, about two blocks from Disneyland in Anaheim. I work as a UNIX systems administrator for the University of Southern California (USC), running the big systems behind their websites and other services. I've only been reading manga since February 2009, but I've been a fan of written science fiction and fantasy since childhood.
I'm fairly active on the TV Tropes wiki, and I was a member of the Arbitration Committee on the English Wikipedia for three years from January 2006 through January 2009.
My favorite work of fiction is P.C. Hodgell's Kencyrath series; God Stalk, Dark of the Moon, Seeker's Mask and To Ride a Rathorn, with a fifth book on the way. In my opinion, they'd make for a perfect manga or anime adaption. I'm also very into C.J. Cherryh, particularly her Morgaine cycle and Cyteen.
