Been an anime fan since I was a kid. Anime was just plain better in all ways over american animation. Sound, action, pace, story, depth all way above the western standard. Had a long hiatus from anime starting in 2002 and ending in 2011. This hiatus was called marriage. So if you see a lot of series in my "Plan to watch" list, it's mostly catch-up.

Peeves:

Weebs. Get a life. Japs are horrible people totally involved with being superior. Look up WW2 stuff, and just watch. Sexist, rasict, and all around elitist society (sorry your short Jap guys). Long reviews. Seriously people... I just want to know if it's worth watching. I don't care about the subtlies, or connotations. Nor do I need the background to every reference made in the anime or manga. Long reviews = Not Helpful. Short and to the point reviews = Helpful. I'm not going to spend 2+ minutes of my time reading one.


ZOMBIES. Gods I hate just about anything with zombies... It's a sub-genre that's been done to DEATH in recent entertainment! Games, tv, animation, movies, books. It's worse a plague in entertainment than a real zombie plague would be.

Likes: Action, comedy, romance. Something with all 3 is the best. Action means anything with good action whether it's samurai, fantasy, sci-fi, martial arts, etc. Anything with a progressive plot. Look at my List and you'll see that genre (with a few exceptions) doesn't matter to me much. As long as the anime makes you feel some emotion.

A good Dubbed series. City Hunter, Slayers, Ghost Stories (hilarious!), Neighbors Club, Fushigi Yuugi, xxxHolic, Battle Athletes, El Hazard just to name a few. All had great dubs in my opinion.

Pinpointing an actual genre like is hard to say though. I base my likes on emotion. Anger, sorrow, hilarity, excitement, etc, are all factors. I can watch a tragedy like Saikano and love it, then next watch a comedy like Witch Craft Works and enjoy that as well.

I hate weeaboos. Can't stand the waifu, kya, sama, kawai, Calling yourself a proud otaku (which is looked down upon in japan by the way. It is also applied to ALL obcessions, not just anime). Also, stop tryong to be hip and say things like: Nigga, tho, rekt, or any other overused chat expression. We have a language, learn it, use it, use it correctly. You don't sound cool, you just look like an idiot.
