[COMMENTARY]

This is a show that demonstrated that "Anime" as a medium can actually achieve realism despite what most people might say, and Area 88 is a living proof of it. It follows a young pilot by the name of Kazama Shin, who is scammed by a close "friend", at a bar while shin is drunk, He tricks Shin into signing a paper, only to later realize that paper was his official registry as a war pillot that would later on serve "Area 88", and now to escape this living hell he must destroy enemies so he earns the money he needs to ... pay his fine, of course that will lead him to face ultimate depression and guilt.

The story for Area 88 is probably one of the most simplistic yet very well executed in terms of message and pace. It takes on moral issues such as identity and war trauma and it manages to have a beautiful performance with entertaining material until the very end. One can argue that Area 88 is probably the best realistic war drama, as each element of the story can be very well associated with real life dilemmas.

The directing of this show in particular, is astonishing, it is a very well animated piece of work, that shows that talent is clearly superior to budget, each and every scene are hand drawn with no cgi nor special effects, and the plain fights are sincerely the highlight of the show. For a 1987 anime, it was way ahead of its time. Also we should mention that each scenes transpires very well the environment they are located in, which leads me to say that it has great world building trough trough.

Taking on a much western style of soundtrack, it depicts very well the themes of the show, the soundtrack gives a feeling of melancholy, and it reminds me of the hot and unbearable desert, maybe because thats what this show really is, a hot, heavy and unbearable desert.

Most of the characters are consistent, however some dont really get fleshed out, because the show focused much more on Shin. He has a clear and strong development troughout the story, going from this naive young romantic man to a spineless and blood thirsty assassin that needs to be ultimately exiled from the real world and he is now attracted by the lust of killing and doesnt want anything else. If I had to mention other characters, Id probably bring up Kanzaki, the one who framed Shin in the first place, he also has evident development and he is seen as a person who trully regrets what he did after realizing the role shin played in his life despite he being better than Kanzaki, to the point he does the most bat shit insane and shameless things such as black mail, more framing and he destroys the economic situation of his beloved one´s family. He delutes into this big pile of human trash, just like shin in one way or another, and ultimately faces catharsis.

I thorougly enjoyed Area 88, and its in my top 10 at the moment, if you are looking for show woth great plane fights with a strong MC, look no further than this, and for similar recommendations I appoint you towards Macross+ for its plain fights and dynamic, and Planetes for its realism and nice characters.

[SUMMARY]

Sakurasou revolves around a second-year high school student named Sorata Kanda who lives in Sakurasou, the dormitory for problem children at Sorata's school. One day, Mashiro Shiina—a cute girl who happens to be also a cosmopolitan, brilliant artist—moves into Sakurasou.

Sorata thinks to himself that he should protect Mashiro from the weirdos at Sakurasou, but Mashiro has a surprising secret: she has no idea how to take care of herself. She gets lost if she goes out, and her room is a complete mess. Sorata's dorm mates designate him as the "master" of Mashiro, and thus, an ordinary boy and a brilliant girl must live ... like "a master and his pet."

[COMMENTARY]

After watching Sakurasou a few months ago, I thought it was a good show, after a while and after speed-re-watching some stuff to brighten my memory I got mixed feelings about it.
One cant simply describe how much I love the romance genre, specially when it has such elements like "Drama", and comedy isnt bad if its well executed and the tone shifts are actually balanced.
Sakurasou was a weird experience for me, it took the ecchicomedy boy and cute helpless girl and added some drama towards the end.
I dont mind this, but sakurasou, oh dear.
The show starts as badly and generic as it gets, it has the haremecchi vibe and the characters are quirky and fun loving, nothing happens other than "Oh yes I got to take care of Mashiro" hey awkward sexually sugestive scene end, next episode.
After the first 12 eps, finally something happens that changes the show drastically, it goes from a generic harem to a dramatic coming of age tryhard, dont get me wrong this was a huge step from Sakurasou, some characters actually get somewhat fleshed out and get development, like Sorata, however other characters like Misaki and Ryunosuke had little focus on, still this was the short lived golden part of Sakurasou, Sorata becomes a decent character, and we also have Jin who also got pretty decent development, Mashiro doesnt really change, she is still pretty much emotionless and awkward, but the tension scenes between her and Sorata were really something I wasnt expecting and they were pretty good. The show keeps going like this for a while, Sorata gets mad at shina and he really wants to improve himself and doesnt want to be left behind, the show does a decent job at exploring the themes, even if it feels rather forced for most part. after that we reach the end of the show, if you thought the melodrama was jarring this is where it gets a bit over the top.
It gets too cheesy, no cheese isnt bad, but when its prompted in a somewhat realistic situation it is very awkward and it ruins the experience. The gradution scene is very controversial, some think it was horrible others liked it for "the feels", but personally I think that despite the cheese, it was a pretty solid ending and it works for this kind of show. To end it here I thought Sakurasou was a breath of fresh air, and it easily stands out in the pile of generic crap out there even if its trying to be it half of the time, but it was never anything beyond that, still the show was fine and I recommend you to watch it but dont go there with high expectations, if you are looking for something more serious I appoint you towards shows like NANA or Kare Kano.

[SUMMARY]
Tohno Takaki and Shinohara Akari, two very close friends and classmates, are torn apart when Akari's family is transferred to another region of Japan due to her family's job. Despite separation, they continue to keep in touch through mail. When Takaki finds out that his family is also moving, he decides to meet with Akari one last time.

As years pass by, they continue down their own paths, their distance slowly growing wider and their contact with one another fades. Yet, they keep remembering one another and the times they have shared together, wondering if they will have the chance to meet once ... again.


[COMMENTARY]

There are various romance-related shows in the anime media, but only a few manage to leave a good impression on me, such as NANA or even other related works. And in this case, 5 cm per second is the best atmospheric experience I've ever had. It manages to make a simple premise into a well executed and symbolic love story wich much to my dismay people regard has "a boring show" or "generic" when in reality it's the most mature love story that the anime media has to offer. It shows how people struggle with having a long distance relationship and how they have to cope with it as life moves on.

It shows the emotional emptyness that it is to be far from your beloved ones and it makes them remember the good old days when they didn't need to stretch a finger to get in touch with each other. The nostalgic affection of the suave touch of melancholy that the show manifests is incredibly overwhelming, it's a feels train. But not only that, for those who had perhaps a long distance relationship in the past, like me, it's the memory subway that every so often comes by whenever the theme is mentioned. In the first part, it gives the backstory of the characters and the dilema. In the 2nd part, the show continues but this time from the perspective of another being wich gives us the perspective of someone from the outside of their own world. It shows us how other people regard their situation. In the 3rd part, we have the epilogue wich shows us how the life of the characters developed and how even after so many years they can't maintain a stable relationship.

It ends on a very depressing way, has the characters are almost forced to part ways. The characters, like many people say, are generic and underdeveloped, which is true. However, that would be if they were actually trying to characterizate them which they didn't because the real aim of the show was to reference not a single character but a larger institution. It's what they call type character and that's how Makoto does the majority of his works, in a very subtle fashion. The title 5 Centimeters Per Second comes from the speed at which cherry blossoms petals fall, petals being a metaphorical representation of humans, reminiscent of the slowness of life and how people often start together but slowly drift into their separate ways, and this couldnt have been presented better.

Halfmoon Talks: Onanie Master Kurosawa

[SUMMARY]

Onanie Master kurosawa is a story about about a boy named Kurosawa Kakeru who is in Middle school and therefore is going trough puberty, he is somewhat of a loner who thinks of himself as an elitist (a person who thinks is superior to others in status) this will lead him to commit mistakes, and later on he will be challanged to confront them.

[COMMENTARY]

When I first started reading kurosawa, I got a feeling of familiarity which drove me back to my early days of middle school. If we described this story in a more slang-ish way, ... Id say this is sort of a "Edgy teen meets 1st world problems", but hold on because its much more than that.
As we delve into the world its settled who kurosawa is, what he is doing, his occupation, the world building and the characters surrounding him, and then its presented to us the dillema.

So far so good for kurosawa with a dirty yet interesting story, being able to grasp such morality issues like our personality, honesty, social activity and mainly every teen problem ever. Normally when people are faced with such a thing as Teen problems they expect something incredibly cheesy and simple minded, with overflowing melodrama, however not in this case.

Kurosawa manages to have a clear and realistic view on what is puberty and what it makes us do, it doesnt need much drama, half of the time Kurosawa is making subtle comedic references to for eg. Code Geass, Case Closed.. etc. and its really clever when showing us the plans kurosawa comes up with, to the point you actually get ingrossed in it no matter how silly it is, you are allways left with a thrilling feeling that even if you think kurosawa is going to succeed, you´ll allways doubt the outcoming. For the first half of the story you are left with a michievous and sharp kurosawa, and dark and evil kitahara, a sweet takigawa whom kurosawa found interest in, a nice and soft nagaoka, and the rest are yet to be explored at all, which is fine because they will adress it later.

One of the greatest things about kurosawa is how the writter portrays the characters who normally would be stereotyped as the evil doers, and belive me theres enough twists here to make you dizzy, at some point you´ll be left caring for everyone simply because they become a part of you, egs. going from Sugawa to others,.

I remember that as a kid I liked to create fantasies, worlds, and much other stuff, I was rather creative person, when I reached middle school I had that thing you call the "edgy syndrome", this meaning that I liked to be the misterious guy and closed myself from the world around, I thought of myself as a superior, but I was clearly wrong.. This is what kurosawa shows us, you cant live alone, theres nothing good about it, when you open yourself there will be pain, there will incidents, but thats a part of life.

Normally when you watch those shounens where the MC is normally this really special kid that is like super strong and misterious, well kurosawa contradicts it, if anything it criticizes it, in really well executed way, without having to directly bash it, not only it criticizes shounen like it criticizes teenagers in general.

You are human, you love, you care, you feel atracted for, and mainly you want to remain in constant contact with other humans and beings in general, everything feels much more natural, and youll find yourself smiling most of the time.

The only problem I could see with Kurosawa is how kitahara seemingly recovered way too fast from a depressin, well even then the mangaka did it well, still time skip is time skip and it fucking sucks..

Other than that Kurosawa is a great Doujin who has great characters, realistic overview on puberty, bullying and other teen problems, and a solid ending, give this one a try romance lovers!

( PROPER MINDSET )

A good show needs to present and develop the themes and the characters in a subtle way, this way it will make everything more fluid and enjoyable as it feels much more natural

STORY:
Oh yes Samurai X, a show about fate, redemption and acceptance, a show to reflect over and deeply love.
For someone who grow up watching the Transvestite that is the Samurai X 94 eps series, I say this because the manga is much better and DEEN likes to murder good Manga by not covering it correctly, I was much pleased by this 4 eps OVA by the name of ... Trust & Betrayal.
At first we have this premise where it shows a slave boy who wants to protect everyone and create a new world, trained by his master swordsman mentor he will become the hero and get all the harem chicks-- CUT! .. Wait, isnt it like that? - Oh of course I almost forgot that this is not some silly Harem shounen.
Samurai X or Rurouni Kenshin shows us the dark side of being an assassin (well duh) it takes on everything in a very depressive manner that helps cultivate the show atmosphere which is astonishing, and never drifts or tries to implement comedy in it, its depressing, dark and thats whats to be expected from a a show about killing people (get it right, akame ga kill), it is a solid and very well written story, the pace is slow to add to the depressing atmosphere and it doesnt care about its characters while simultaneously showing respect for both the work and the audience which makes it all the better, THIS IS HOW SAMURAI X SHOULD BE, thats all I can say.

After that there is also some sort of philosophy going on which isnt shoved down our throats (parasyte) but developed troughout the story. Thats what it brings us to the "Mindset".. Any sort of media needs subtlety has a way to distinguish the different elements of a work and to introduce them in a way that doesnt make it seem like we were bombardeated with a 1 hour ep of exposition or the constant "remindal" of those very same elements.. Shows like EVAngelion, She and her Cat, Tsukimi no Ie or even a favourite show of mine 5CMPS managed to transpire this very well, wether it was trough dialogue between characters, actions or simply expressions or emotions.. In the end what really matters is how natural and fluid a story can be, of course there are some type of shows like comedies (Nichijou or Kawai-con) or over the top reckless fun (tengen toppa, or Kill La kill) that dont have this kind of subtlety because it wouldnt make sense since its supposed to be extravagant with blood pumping fast pace not subtle and slow has it will lose all its impact and winding up not achieving what was proposed, but a show aiming for something more complex and trying to write good characters should allways create subtlety between the show elements. In the end the OVA´s manage to have a strong and solid realistic story where people die when they are killed and killing is in fact bad.

ART
I am aware that there is a controversity regarding the fact that Deen used cheap budget cuts like live action scenery and towards the end the fights minimaly degrated and well while I agree with that I also commend DEEN on the live action case as while being a budget cut it kept the show´s atmosphere.. It reforced the realism of the show without looking silly like our old friend CGI... About the fights for most part they were well animated and the gore looks amazing, the color palet is much more variated than you think but usually it relied on dark tones of black,red,blue and brown. I could also see the water color background which were pretty nice and the characters designs looked realistic and distinguishable. Making the art and animation pretty good even for a studio like DEEN.



SOUND:
The sound is absolutely beautifull and fitting, it really has the samurai ancient vibe and it had a nice choreography, it fed the great atmosphere it had and it gave more impact to scenes and events. Everything felt rather realistic and I rate it highly taking to account the fact that it was made in the 90´s- great stuff.

Characters


Most of the characters (aside from Tomoe, Kenshin and say I'izuka) had a simple characterization but didn’t felt like plot devices due to their human-esc actions and reactions, they weren’t exactly good but they weren’t there for the sake of plot but simply to reinforce the world building and give a sense of community, I consider Takasugi to be one of the best side characters has he represented idea of auxiliary irregular militia (shotai). He was basically kenshin´s mirror has he was quite similar to him, they were both unseathed swords however Takasugi got a seath (a wife) who served has a device to preserve Takasugi´s humanity, the same function was given to Tomoe by Katsuragi the headmaster concerning kenshin, she accepted this and at some point went to live with kenshin for determined reasons. The amount of subtlety and emotionally powerfull scenes featuring Kenshin and Tomoe make me want to say that this is by far one of the couples with the greatest chemistry, there weren’t any words, just actions, little moments in silence and basic day to day shores.. they felt so natural, it was truly amazing to see that polarized couple interact with each other. The main focus is kenshin and Tomoe, other than those I cant say much.. Izuka is what you can call a great villain, not because of the plot twist but simply because he played a great role in kenshin´s life, he´s basically transmiting to the audience that nobody can be trusted, he wasn’t a maniac villain like those from SAO, he was quite simple but yet he felt like a real person and in this case a great villain, manipulative but sharp. He is without a doubt a great villain, in the end the characters were pretty solid and well done.



Enjoyment:
When it comes down to enjoyment I never Thought I would enjoy a prequel this much, it was beautiful and its in my top 5 at the moment next to Area 88 OVA, which is very good. And now since I have a rating system and stuff I award Story with a A+, Characters with an A-, Art with a B, Sound with a B+, and enjoyment with an A awarding this show with a overall A. for similar shows I recommend you AREA 88 OVA as it’s a great war drama and its also very realistic, and for the romance aspect of the show I recommend you 5 cm per second, this was Half Moon and ill see ya later

BUNGAKU SHOUJO MEMOIRE 2ND OVA REVIEW. (the other OVAs bring the series down, The only interesting is this one)

A few months back I saw a OVA prequel of a light novel called Bungaku shoujo, at the time I wasn’t quite sure of what was I getting into, but I was pleasantly surprised by it, I decided to watch it because I was looking for a more dark perspective on the romance genre and that’s what I got for most part, I even watched the movie who pales comparing it to the prequels but that’s a topic for another day, keep in mind these OVA´s ... have completely different purposes and stories, Now without further a do Ill start my review:

Story:
The story centers around a boy named Inoue Konoha a boy who likes to write, and its shown that he has talent for it.. Has a kid konoha met a girl called Miu Asakura a girl with a cold attitude that doesn’t get along with other kids, everyone “hates” her and she can be called a loner. She can be also considered a pathological liar, she lies for the most trivial things but for me I can interpret it has a method she has to try to affirm and get the attention of others, she does not care about what others say but deep down she shows sorrow because what she really wanted was someone to rely on and interact with, it’s a common thing among children and human in general, they strive for emotional connections and seek romance in this world. Consequently it also shows our greed and obcessiveness over something we hold dear, and sometimes it gets the best of us.
It’s a bitter sweet story with a decent direction and presentation and has great atmosphere. It stays focused troughout and doesn’t try to diverge from it, being a single OVA is very limiting yet they made something worth watching, this however is much more well explored in the LNs.. , this OVA has all had great ideas, great direction and presentation, the setting while being quite generic also fit (another fucking highschool setting), I give it a 6 because it doesnt have a ending (its continued in the movie) and because it was indeed rushed.

Art:

The art was solid for most part, sometimes some re used footage but very rare, other than that the character designs were generic, and the characters look like robots sometimes (Production IG) The backgrounds were pretty simple and it didnt had anything to the overall atmosphere and tone settled by the show wich wasnt a good thing, especially when I am a sucker for atmosphere.

Sound:

The sound was pretty forgettable but fitting, the opening was suave and melancholic (fitting the show´s themes). On this case the soundtrack actually contributed to the atmosphere, (even being forgettable) like I said above it fitted the show.
The VAs did a pretty good job, especially Aya hirano wich was amazing while voicing Miu.

Character:

I have a lot of mixed feelings regarding this, the problem is that despite Miu Asakura being a great character the rest of the cast is just bland and uninteresting, most of them just being mere plot devices, one of the main things I absolutely love about this OVA is the fact that it has Miu has the MC and it shows you Miu perspective of the world, it was a great move by the writer.

Even if Miu is a great character I still stand for my point that a single character cant carry a show no matter how good it is. Its meaningless when the same character doesnt have anyone to interact with and influence others with the ideals and motivations they couldve introduced in the others.

Inoue is a bland ass MC for a show, he is absolutely annoying and bland, he almost comes off has a self insert if it werent for his reactions and motivations towards MIU, he is just forgetable

Miu´s parents was just there to provoke victimization that isnt necessarly bad in this case since it was needed to introduce us to Miu´s situation, the same goes for Miu´s classmates wich they show understandable reactions to her gimmicks, it all plays to Miu, they all rely on Miu but in the end they build their own grave because like I said " a single character cant carry a show no matter how good it is" .. and well Ill keep saying that because the side characters are just moved by reactions nothing else, bland like a sheet.

Enjoyment:

I clearly enjoyed the show, because Miu was the MC, that alone gives me the confidence to give this single OVA a 6 out of 10. I just hope for a remake just featuring Miu and her perspective on the world, without the bland ass characters.

Now here´s the deal.. Would you rather stick a 5 meter rod up your ass in front of a great deal of people or having to sit trough Expelled from paradiso? - I guess thats pretty obvious depending on your experience and knowledge about anime.

Theres a factor that every now and then anime seem to step on and that is the pretentious factor, its a word used by many and understood by.. well.. few.
The first thing that comes to mind after saying something is "pretentious" is the name "Gen Urobochi" HA! you know that guy that did Fate/zero, Psycho Pass or even took part on ... Phantom.. Well to not mention the "self aclaimed" deconstruction that is madoka wich is the best of the mahou shoujo deconstruction after Tutu, Utena, Yunna. Well it isnt a coincidence that every title (urobochi titles) I mentioned are very negatively criticized for being pretentious and well I agree with it for most part.
Having read so many reviews about this pile of utter garvish giving it 8/10 and 7/10 I had to come here and tell you that this show is utter garvish and it trully shows Gen´s true collors like he never showed before.

At first we have a scene in the beach (dont ask me why, fanservice?) we can see that the MC is a female loli, Oh yeah we can also see the shitty animation but Ill get to that in a second, Then she´s talking to a character that is featured on the cover, but do not worry since its the only scene you´ll get to see him, it then jumps to this sci fy vibe and then she starts blabbing some technical stuff that even the producers probably dont understand and your expecting me to take this seriously.. It shows us something very similar to pycho pass, (rippof) and then it jumps into some kind of action scene, and it ends. Well from that the show is allready telling you that you´re in for a treat and a not a little one. The show later on talks about concepts such has humanity and then jumps into acceptance and then something related to robots ahhh its so confusing. It mixes all these concepts and idealisms that altogether dont make any freaking sense.. There was a scene wich served has one of the highlights where she is talking to some "superior forces" composed by some kind of gods? trying to look important when they dont even have any sort of opinion based on their history they just know how to say "kill the robot because he is bad for some reason" and that people is what you call nihilism, (a belief in the pointless of existance. the absence of truth. the absence of reason. ) its a cheap trick constantly used by urobutcher in his works and it looks like it sold 70.000 copies.. thats right people, Redline sold about 2.000 and this piece of crap CGI sold 70 fucking thousand.. well .. I am speechless.. well later on the show even tries to characterizate the characters by giving a banjo to Dingo, and 2 min emotional scene with balzak, the robot in the other hand managed to be more appealing than those shmucks.. good lord.

Even for CGI I do admit that some of the fights were actually decent and enjoyable but it lacked reason and atmosphere for that matter, everything felt plastic.. it felt like watching Takena´s works, hell Takena has more atmosphere than this.. World Builiding is null and the rest fell flat has a surfing board. The soundtrack was so generic and uninteresting it hurt (It got to the point Neyko one of my dear friends put Whitney Houston song on the final scene, yes you heard me) I was never so utterly disguted after watching an anime ,probably not true, but it was a horrible experience..

The character interactions are very dumb and pretentious has Dingo and Balzak spend about 10 min talking about the living world and the scify world has in you should enjoy your life to the fullest with such a flaired uninteresting dialogue that in the end the scene could have been done in 1.30 min. Thus making the character interactions pathetic and underwhelming. Well to conclude everything do NOT watch this show in any circunstances not even for comedic effect has its horrible and almost insulting. You think you can fool me Paradise? NO YOU CANT.

FUCK YOU DEMOD FOR RECOMMENDING THIS SHIT.

Hyouka is a mistery anime made by KyoAni and consequently being the best show they ever made.
Now dont get me wrong when I say its the best show of KyoAni it doesnt mean its a good show, however KyoAni is so full of crap that even a show like Hyouka manages to mark their place as the best one.. And yes I consider
it to be better than CLANNAD the first season and its probably on the same level has the 2nd one

Story:

Based of a very famous light novel by Yonezawa,Honobu called Koten-bu stories, Hyouka is basically a spin off with the same characters and story, ... the original material is known for their said engrossing writting and complex themes wich can be higly regarded by other people has a "masterpiece" wich in this person opinion is far from it.

The pace of the story is incredebly slow, it doesnt do much in the 22 eps that its composed off, most of the events are overshadowed by the constant use of filler scenes or just minor-fanservice however the themes in the show are
still decently handled. The thought of turning a mistery theme into classroom shenenigans was not a bad idea however since you´re posi-
-tive and you already predict that nothing major will happen the tension is very lacking and there isnt much excitement since most of the proposed misteries are like "who put a rat on that kid´s schoolbag".. It comes of has a show about a bunch of teens playing detective, I did like the misteries, despite having no tension whatsover it still managed to make me care, the atmosphere in the show is astonishing and very subtle wich is basically 2 major tropes I enjoy in anime. The 2nd cour of the anime was basically filler since the over arking mistery had already been solved, so the 2nd cour is just filler with some minor misteries just to feed the fans something.

Art\Animation:

The animation was mind blowing, both backgrounds, details and other related stuff, those moments wich took place in oreki´s mind where his emotion were being expressed trough art were actually quite ingenious.. Being probably the most high budget show of KyoAni it definetly helped enchacing the experience wich blended with the tone and the subtletly of the show.


Soundtrack:

Most of the sountrack are from other artists such has bach wich while not being original in the very least it fits the show like a glove and generally the soundtrack has a great coreography has it gives off a great aura wich contributes to the atmosphere

Characters:

I consider the characters to be the most important factor of an anime, and in Hyouka´s case they are either plot devices or are there for the sake of it.. Focusing on Oreki who is a minimalistic relate-to-me character who is strangely fresh comparing to the other characters of the its kind due to his internal monologues and unexplained sharp and wise mind, he doesnt have a backbone has he is easily influenced by people, then theres CHitanda who is a plot device whose only purpose is to give motivations to the motivationless main character, Satoshi was a good character has he actually had a good characterization and development wich made me happy I have nothing to say about Mayaka other than being a sexually confused teenage girl who hates Oreki for some reason. The side characters are there just to take part in the mistery and then again they´re just plot devices.


Conclusion:

Now your question is.. Is Hyouka worth watching ?? Well I guess so? If you like slow atmospheric slice of lifes with romance sprinkles and mistery,

then you´ll love it otherwise it will be really boring.

Ive watched this anime far back when it aired but today I decided to unleash my thoughts in this review here firstly the anime was a pile of trash and I am going to explain why:

The way they portrayed everything was so negative and sappy that I didnt know wether to cry or laugh, it was like watching those soap operas on TV .. It felt so rushed and half assed.. In one moment you have Haruto giving up and going home with his ass between his legs and then he has this sudden realization and starts running towards , guess who, EBA to spout ... some random shit from her house door, only to see in the window a peeking Eba with a regretfull face.. This repeated imense times troughout the anime and the Manga too.

But I guess its just Seo Kouji godly writing making the highlights again.. In case you dont know this men was the one who created Suzuka wich guess what its like Kimi no iru Machi all over again, only the characters are slightly different.. Apparently Suzuka and KNIM are even from the same freaking story line.. Fucking amazing.. Its like Seo is making fun of its audience wiggling his troll dick around like a madman

But in this case its not entirely Seo´s fault.. The studio who adapted KNIM was GONZO .. One of the worst studios out there right next to Deen and Pierrot (Imo) .. And has I said above the anime was very rushed and you want to know why!? Because shrinking a 270 chapter Manga into a 12 episode anime (NOTE: EACH EPISODE HAS HARDLY 18 MIN) is fucking stupid.. An anime that had the potential to have atleast 26 episodes and then they could release 2 OVA with the aftermath to close it in a soothing way, but its Gonzo so we shouldn´t expect much.

Even so its not like the Source material was good.. The story of KNIM is very infamous for its twists and forced drama.. The characters arent necessary bland and motivationless, actually quite opposite however they are so hateable for their stupid ass decisions and "the power of bad writting" behind that you end up like Umm what the hell? .. Midway trough Haruto forms a rivalry with a guy in the verge of dying only to accomplish his goals leaving the viewers thinking .. WOW what an asshole..

Like seriously the way that this anime takes itself is so laughable on the insight that anyone with a brain would bash it.. And despite all this I was definitely surprised that I managed to end the series, more so that I was actually entertained and fell in love with it in a weird way.. It was non-sensical and just teen drama at its best.. #BLAME SEO

Like any other shounen Kuroko No Basuke tends to be very slow and with little character development .. It often relies on comedy like un-going gags or catchphrases ..

.. Even so usually the best part of shounen is the intensity and emotionally gripping moments it brings.. In my opinion Kuroko no basuke was 50% of the time far from tense and it seemed really forced and unappealing.. The characters are cardboard cuttouts that even with actual motivations honestly it isnt enough to make a certain character good..

The characters are predictable and with a one-dimensional personality.

The premise is quite original however they dont make really ... good use of it due to the stereotypical nature and the predictableness behind it..

First its about Kuroko helping kagami to become a good player at the level of the "kiseki no sedai" and then theres character arcs for Kise, Midorima and Aomine.. wich, SURPRISE, its the genki airhead guy, the intelectuall prick and the "THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN BEAT MYSELF IS ME" guy wich by that you´re already imagining that he is a total dick..

The show often relies on its good animation, like a big old fat man riding his ferrari around the town and still getting some.. If theres one way i can describe KnB is "good to look at" because other than that there isnt much else i can say about it..

The Sound is actually good it helped me to get trough the series has it kind of gave me hope..

Despite being a introductory season Knb 1 was still quite Mediocre ..

The comedy is actually appealing to say the least atleast it managed to pull of some giggles but if KnB wants to surprise me or change my Opinion the 2nd season needs to be way better and I am going to start watching whenever i can..

I give Knb a medium-prority and if you arent into sports then you probably wont like this, but try it anyway its not like my opinion is the ultimate best you´ll find.
