First thing first, I consider myself as an otaku both inside and out. I love anime seriously and passionately for it opened my eyes to different perspectives of the mind and heart.Through the years, it taught me lessons about life, love, friendship, family and so much more. Some made me angry, some made me frightened, some made me cry, and some made me laugh. I guess that is why I love watching anime for it never fails to tug some emotion within me.
No offense but I just don't like other people who's saying that they're already a BIG fan even though they've just watched a few episodes or so of one particular anime especially a mainstream one. For me.. they're just tarnishing the passion of all true fans out there. Appreciating anime is like appreciating art itself, and that's why it takes time to seriously understand its depths.
If you feel like you have the same views as me, don't be hesitate to be my friend. I'm actually approachable, despite some of my comments above♪
Oh... one more thing. For the record, I'm not solely into anime for I'm also a MANGA and an asian DRAMA addict (unfortuantely MAL doesn't include dramas though). Sometimes,playing games and Visual novels takes up my time too. However, even if I'm immersed with all such hobbies, I'm proud to say I HAVE my SOCIAL LIFE too such as in school and at home.

*if they are able to live up to their respected genres
*if its able to make me feel some intense/fiery emotions
*if character designs are great, including of course those HOT BISHIES
*if the plot if not unique, greater than others
*even if my fave ship in the show did'nt end up together as long as it creates a good plot development in the end
anime scores LOW for me:
*if it's just BAD. [plot that makes me yawn or makes me feel that I've seen it a thousand times already]

I'm really glad you liked Hana to Akuma. I myself loved it a lot too, and the ending was kind of heartbreaking but beautiful indeed.
It is definitely one of my favorites : ) Its nice to hear you enjoyed it.

I like your summary of episode 22 in "Hanasaku Iroha Discussion Thread", it details the exact points, when Ohana finally realize her feelings for Ko, from Minko failed one sided love to her mothers love life.
I notice you haven't read, "Ichigo 100%", I really recommend it, its very sweet and there a big twist to the ending.
If you do read it, please let me know your opinion on the story and your favorite heroine!

I completely agree. Unfortunately, I haven't been watching long enough to know what's good and what's not, so I'm a bit limited on the selection on what to pick and watch. Like the way you think though.
And it didn't bug me at all, was just curious. My apologies if I came off a bit rude :D
