Here is a friendly starter kit to help get involved in our activities.

Firstly if you want to leave an Introduction Post so other members know some unique aspects about you. Currently we are at the beginning of a new season thus if you want to leave some first impressions in the Seasonal Discussion Thread that would be greatly appreciated. We have been needing more activity for that thread in past seasons. Then lastly we have our Power Ranking Committee-Sign Ups for Spring 2020. Its actually fairly simple feature. You choose a watching class based on your amount of shows for the season and you hand-in your top shows every 3 weeks.

Five shows a season is still enough to sign-up for the Togashi watching class. Maybe it'll help give you an idea of what to put on your PTW later on read the manga of something else ^.^.

Greetings Miwa-, I recently gave you an invite to a seasonal club called the Anime Guild.
But I do also like to interact with the people I'm looking to bring into the club.
The club consists of a lot of different seasonal activities from Power Rankings to OP/ED Comps to Seasonal Cards.
We also have an active Discord Server as well as annual events throughout the year ^.^.

So do you only watch around 5 shows a season, or is this just an off season like a lot of others are having?

Che ne pensi per ora? A me piace soprattutto il primo e non vedo l'ora inizi a fare sul serio, i personaggi sono veramente interessanti, Haiji poi è un genio del male. XD Tsurune vabbè, intanto è Kyoani per cui da vedere è stupendo, poi per una volta il drama del protagonista ha basi piuttosto serie e anche qui c'è un bel "cast", mi sono anche commosso alla scena con la mamma.

più che non piacermi è straniante, devo un attimo inquadrare come cazzo ragionano 'ste due, però in effetti mi sono dimenticato di continuarlo :thinking:

yeah non è proprio di primo pelo, ma non è che mi dia fastidio, tanto mi abituo subito. se mi sono abituato all'art di Moyashimon s2 o i sequel di Minami-ke non avrò mai problemi con nulla credo

un paio di giorni fa ho scoperto per caso Cheerful Amnesia e quel poco che c'è disponibile l'ho detto, è molto divertente e rientra più nei miei canoni

Girl Friends è un altro che mi ha straconsigliato sempre lo stesso amico, prima o poi dovrò darci un occhio anche se l'art mi pare bruttino dalla cover lul

Anch'io! Si capiva che questo doveva essere uno scontro cruciale tra i due, quindi speravo in qualche scena in più >.< Ma Shizuo che gioca a baseball con Izaya devo dire che, personalmente, è stato appagante u.u XD
La spiegazioni su Celty trovo che sia coerente e penso che potrebbe essere esattamente così ripensando ai dialoghi che fa nell'ultimo episodio! Se dovessi, in futuro, trovare altre spiegazioni o leggerla, fammi sapere ^^

Immagino XD Guardando la serie ero convinta che la coppia scritta meglio sarebbe stata la Takanashi/Inami invece, sono rimasta sorpresa nel sapere che è stata la Satou/Yachiyo sebbene mi faccia piacere come sono stati trattati ma soprattutto risolti XD Però per il tipo di coppie che erano, trovo che siano stati coerenti con entrambe negli sviluppi e poi nella risoluzione ^^

Non credo finisca a breve, temo che faranno solo 12 puntate e poi si vedrà, ma dubito avrà un seguito poi.

Piuttosto, sto leggendo orange (penso sia il secondo shoujo in assoluto dopo marmalade boy). Sto quasi a metà, quando finisco ti farò sapere. Per adesso è interessante anche se temo che non verrà spiegata la differenza temporale.

Hey! It is good hearing from you. I've been doing good. Nothing new on my part except that my best friend is moving to another country which is sad. I don't have many friends, so it'll be so lonely without her since she's the one I trust and share almost everything with. She's leaving in July or August which is soon. Other than that, I've nothing new in my life to share.

I still like Kimi ni Todoke as well but like you, I'd rather something more realistic happens with Kazehaya and Sawako. If the mangaka is planning to continue the story through their college lives, then I think that there's a slight possibility Kazehaya and Sawako's relationship might be tested. I don't really see Sawako falling for someone other than Kazehaya but I think it'd be a good change if they both ended up dating other people. Oh, well. Since the story revolves mainly around them and their relationship, I don't see the mangaka doing that. Also, I'm sure that a lot of the fans won't be happy if she's to do that, right? As a shoujo romance, people would expect the main protagonists to end up together, right?
I think Ryu and Chizu's relationship is okay as it is as it doesn't seem unrealistic. It's totally normal for a little girl to have a crush on an older guy but of course it usually doesn't go anywhere, so it makes sense that she'd start developing feelings for the guy who had always been there for her. I actually wouldn't have minded if Toru/Chizu happened as I like this pairing but Ryu/Chizu is good too.
As for Ayane, I totally want her to confess to Pin and I'm sure it will happen eventually but I'm not really dying to see them together as much as I used to. I mean, ending up with your first love isn't that realistic but I want her to experience the feeling of love even if it doesn't lead to a relationship at the end.
My favorite character is Kurumi and I'd really love to see her finding a new love in the future but I definitely don't want her with Kento. I used to ship it but not anymore. I actually think it'd be interesting if she and Kazehaya start to date but I know it won't happen. Kazehaya already rejected her and I don't think she'd pursue him any longer especially now that she and Sawako became friends. I also think that she got over him. Sawako and Kurumi’s friendship is so beautiful and realistic. I hope they get into the same college.

Maybe you are right but I don't really think that Chihaya rejected Taichi for good nor do I think that she's in love with Arata at the moment. However, she will have to give an answer to both guys at some point. It's true that she never saw Taichi as nothing more than a friend but feelings do change, right? The same for her feelings for Arata. Let's say that she did have some feelings for him at some point, this could also change. Chihaya doesn't know much about love or romance nor she thought of it until both guys confessed to her.
For some reason, the relationship between the three reminds me of something similar in an old anime I saw when I was young. I don't really remember the name of the anime but the lead girl looked a lot like Chihaya. She had two male friends. One is white and the other is black. I'm really not sure if the black guy was in love with the girl but the white one was. Anyway, the guy confessed but for some reason, he had to leave to pursue something. The girl eventually started to miss him and finally realized she had feelings for him. He came back and at the end they got married. I’m not saying that this is what’s going to happen in Chihayafuru but the characters in that anime remind me of Chihaya, Taichi and Arata.
I don't think the manga is going to end anytime soon as Suetsugu's editor did mention that the story is not there yet, right?
I totally agree that Chihaya ending up with Arata at this point would be so weak as his character didn't get enough development as Taichi, so I don't think it'd really be satisfying. Are you planning to watch the live-action film? I’m not really that interested but I might check it out eventually.

No, I'm not really reading the Ace of Diamond manga as I don't feel like reading something that long and online. I still like Eijun/Haruno, though. I doubt it will happen as I think Wakana has a better chance. Sad as I prefer Haruno for Eijun.

I do like Oremonogatari!! but it's not really a favorite. It's fun to read and the characters are likable, though. Yamato is one of the very few shoujo manga heroines that don't annoy me. :p Ai is my favorite female character in the series, though. I really like her and I wouldn't have minded if she and Takeo got together. However, I also like Oda/Ai. Suna is so cool. I wouldn't really mind if he remained single as I still can't picture him with someone. However, I do admit that I did entertain the idea of Takeo's sister falling for him when she's older but sadly the age gap is huge.
Anyway, it's good that the manga is ending soon. Actually, I think it should have ended earlier as nothing really happened. Takeo and Yamato are still together and it was obvious from the start that nothing will come between them. I'm not sure if there are new developments for Suna in the manga as I only read up to Volume 8.
I'm glad that Suna didn't end up with that girl as well. She did love him but she's not the one I want for him. Suna is a very nice guy. How I wish I could meet someone like that in real life. :p

I never took Kumiko/Reina seriously mainly because I knew it wouldn't happen. Also, Reina is in love with the teacher, right? Anyway, I don't ship her with anyone. As for Kumiko, I can't wait to see her and Shuichi together. I like Shuichi quite a lot and I'm glad that he rejected Hazuki. I guess Shuichi and Kumiko will end up like Mochizo and Tamako?

While I didn't enjoy the first season of the Akagami no Shirayukihime anime much, I did like the second season. The characters grew on me more and there's no one that really annoys me. I like both Zen/Shirayuki and Obi/Shirayuki but it's obvious it'll be the former. It's a typical shoujo manga romance. I also like Izana as a character. Does he meet someone in the manga? Mitsuhide and Kiki are cool but I wouldn’t mind if they don’t end up together. Prince Raj is such an interesting character. I like him so much.

Well, I do think Mafuyu will end up with someone but it will not be like a flowery shoujo manga ending or something. I could be wrong, though. I read the mangaka's previous work "Oyayubi kara Romance" and the girl does end up with the guy but there wasn't really much romance in the series. I think the mangaka likes to keep things ambiguous.
Who do you want Mafuyu to end up with? I only read 11 or 12 volumes of the manga but I know I wanted her with Takaomi. There were other interesting characters, though. Hayasaka is cool as well and I thought he had a chance but since I stopped reading, I'm not sure what new developments happened.

It'd be disappointing if Hachiman does end up with Yukino but this is what's going to happen, I think. I like Yui and Iroha but I'm still don't have a favorite among the girls. However, I'd take Iroha and Yui over Yukino any day.
Only the manga for Haganai is licensed over here but I don't collect it. I heard about the ending and how people were really disappointed but it seems that there are people who think that it was implied that the main protagonist did or will end up with the blond girl. I'm really not sure as I'm not familiar with the characters. Who did you want him to end up with?
I was thinking that Watari might take the same route with Oregairu but I kind of doubt it. I think that it's too obvious that Hachiman will choose to be with Yukino. I think I'll pick up the light novels once they start coming out over here. The first volume is slated for September.

I read 2-3 volumes of ONE PUNCH-MAN but it's not really my cup of tea. I haven't seen or read Tokyo Ghoul as I'm not into such stories. My Hero Academia is good enough and I think the characters are interesting but I don't think I'll be reading the manga. I'm enjoying the anime so far but it's not something I really love.
I do like shounen manga but not all. I like Assassination Classroom, Blue Exorcist, Seraph of the end, Arslan Senki, DEATH NOTE, BAKUMAN., Platinum End, etc. I'm sure there are others but can't recall at the moment.

Do you know Nisekoi? It's the type of shounen manga that I don't enjoy. Harem is just not my thing. I did read a few volumes but I'm not really enjoying it. I also hate how it has been obvious from the start which girl the guy will end up with. I always knew who Raku will end up with despite his claims that he loves Onodera. To me, Onodera is just a crush without him realizing it while the one he really likes is Chitoge. I'm glad I don't have a favorite girl in this series but I did want Raku to end up with someone other than Chitoge and Onodera. Well, the manga hasn't ended yet but it's almost there and it's obvious Chitoge is the one Raku will confess to.

I'm looking forward to the Summer anime season! I'm especially looking forward to Sangatsu no Lion. I really hope the manga gets licensed here eventually. I'll be watching Amanchu! as well.

Are you watching Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge? I like this series but I hope it won't start focusing on romance. I don't mind Shiraishi but for some reason, I don't want her and Tanaka together. I actually prefer Echizen and Miyano. Ohta/Tanaka is cool but sadly it won't happen. I've a feeling that Tanaka might accept Shiraishi's feelings eventually. What do you think?

Versailles no Bara finally got licensed over here but I'm not sure when the first book is coming out. I think it should be this year as it was announced last year. It will be a deluxe edition. I hope Oniisama e... gets licensed too but highly doubt it.

I'm already caught up on the Natsume Yuujinchou manga as I read all of the 19 volumes available here. Can't wait for Volume 20! I'm happy that a new anime season is announced.

Are you reading Mahoutsukai no Yume? I read the first volume only so I still need to catch up. Is it as good as the others are saying? It’s licensed here and four volumes are already out. Do you recommend I keep reading it?

What do you think of Tsubaki-chou lonely planet? I’m reading it but not enjoying it all that much as I think it’s quite similar to Hirunaka no Ryusei. I don’t think it will end similarly as I don’t see the mangaka going the same route but I still can’t root for Akatsuki/Fumi. Maybe it’s because they remind me of Shishio and Suzume but who knows. I do think they will end up together as it is clear as day.

Speaking of long series, I hope Skip Beat! ends soon but I highly doubt. 38 volumes were published in Japan and still the main girl and guy didn’t confess to each other. *sigh* Well, I like the series and the characters and I do enjoy it but I think it is getting way too long. I wonder how many volumes it will be by the time it ends. 36 volumes are available in the U.S. and I own them all but I do need things to move faster. I’m so in love with Ren and Kyoko and can’t wait for them to finally confess and be together but I don’t think it’ll happen so soon. I also demand a wedding at the end. :p Well, since Kyoko always lives in her fairy tale world, I’m sure she’d want a fairy tale wedding. I like that Ren is not a high school boy but a 20-something man. I like the guy to be older than the girl. Well, the reason he still didn’t make a move is that Kyoko is still in high school and so he doesn’t want to risk it.

I haven’t been buying much manga but I’ll start some new titles this year such as Akatsuki no Yona, Haikyu!!, Platinum End, Oregairu (light novel), Baccano! (light novel) and Versailles no Bara. I already started collecting the Seraph of the end light novels this year as well. I wanted to collect orange but since the last few chapters were kind of underwhelming and the ending was disappointing, I decided against it. I’m still angry it ended that way. I hope the mangaka creates a new series eventually.

Scusa il ritardo. Sì, per me è proprio un po' meno ispirato, ma è normale, tutte le idee migliori che aveva le ha già usate, adesso cerca di farsene venire di nuove ma non è tanto facile. Ma tanto sapevo che sarebbe stato impossibile replicare un successo del genere. XD

Comunque penso che finirà tra non molto, si assesterà sempre sui 60 capitoli imho.

Ciao twin ^^! Bene e tu? Stai tranquilla, ci sono passata anch'io e so bene cosa significa >.< Quanto ti manca per la laurea?
Io il solito, faccio colloqui e domande e spero che vada bene XD Intanto cerco sempre qualche possibile nuova idea di impiego...staremo a vedere!

L'ultima di Drrr non è stata male...solo che all'inizio era tutto troppo "lento" per i ritmi a cui l'anime ha abituato, si parlava più che agire e spuntavano nuove faccende, senza ovviamente andare a concludere nessuna delle cose in sospeso. Mentre un crescendo l'ho visto verso la fine e forse avrebbero potuto gestirla meglio per il trio e ora che mi hai detto che hanno tagliato molta roba, capisco che non era solo una mia impressione. All'inizio sono rimasta sorpresa da Shinra nel finale, mi chiedevo perchè Celty avesse dovuto "perdere" nuovamente la testa per stare con lui, ma poi ho provato a ragionarci anche se non sono arrivata ad una vera e propria conclusione sul fatto.

Per quanto riguarda Working, alla fine avevano concluso molto nella terza stagione: Satou e Yachiyo, la famiglia di Yamada e marito e moglie perennemente destinati a non incontrarsi più, quindi era più che logico che allungassero un pò la cosa per fare un episodio tempisticamente più lungo solo sull'unica questione rimasta. Mi è piaciuta la scena in cui Inami deve "affrontare" tutte le sorelle prima di raggiunge Takanashi, e anche come finale non è stato male considerando i personaggi... fatto sta che, a livello di coppie, per me la conclusione più carina rimane quella della coppia Satou/Yachiyo per come sono arrivati a mettersi insieme e perchè, seppure con poche scene, hanno anche mostrato cosa in loro cambiava ora che hanno una relazione.
Si, la tristezza è stata tanta anche per me, adesso non ha più niente da dire, ma sono contenta che abbiano chiuso davvero l'anime e non l'abbiano lasciato in sospeso...è sicuramente da rivedere prima o poi!

Si, in quell'anime alla fine come dici tu si è più centrati sulla carriera di Shirayuki, però sono comunque rimasta sorpresa visto che in tanti anime ci vuole molto di più per vedere una scena del genere XD L'anime mi è piaciuto, ma devo sinceramente ancora vedere la seconda stagione anche se non ho dubbi che mi piacerà come la prima, quindi vedrò se riesco a recuperare il manga o a leggerlo in qualche modo ^^

Yona a me è piaciuto veramente tanto!! Lo avevo messo in lista un pò per caso, semplicemente a forza di vedere immagini sui siti di fansub, ma devo dire che ne sono rimasta piacevolmente sorpresa!! I personaggi sono tutti molto caratterizzati anche nell'anime, solo uno viene mostrato poco, ma anche in così poco spazio, si intuisce quanto il suo carattere sia duplice... . Comunque sia, l'anime è molto fedele al manga, io sono arrivata a leggerlo al punto in cui ci si trova a circa metà dell'anime e fino ad ora non ho trovato differenze a livello di contenuti, anche certe battute, leggendo, le ho ricordate simili alla versione animata. Se non ricordo male hanno animato i primi 8 volumi e al massimo hanno spostato la linea temporale di un solo fatto (per ora) che non è legato alla trama principale, quindi hanno fatto un ottimo lavoro! Per questo, secondo me potresti vedere prima l'anime e farti un'idea dei personaggi e della comicità presente (Hak ne è un esempio vivente) e poi leggere il manga per continuare la storia e conoscere meglio il passato e quindi il carattere di alcuni personaggi che viene sviluppato dopo il loro ingresso nella storia. Entro quest'anno, comunque, ho letto che realizzeranno altri 2 OAV in cui spiegheranno il passato del personaggio di Zeno che è quello di cui si conosce meno con la sola visione dell'anime.

Già. Io di amanchu ho dato un'occhiata alle scan per vedere com'era, è andata a finire che ho letto tutto quello che è stato pubblicato. XD (vedo che anche tu sei in pari, mi sembra)

Il fatto è che avevo un po' di perplessità perchè con l'immersione con ho niente a che spartire, ma non si è rivelato un problema. Aspetto che finisca prima di comprarlo perchè quella casa editrice è un po'...instabile, diciamo.

Ha dei momenti di rilievo ma in linea generale non è proprio eccezionale.

Mi pare ovvio. E' una di quelle storie che o si ama o si ama.
