True... When Miroku met Teito, he wanted to use him in the military, though Ayanami thought it would be best to kill him. I wonder if he was able to sence Mikhail presence in Teito (he didn't seem to thrilled about the idea of having him around).
I'm thinking that he needs his body back and his powers in order to resurrect Eve. =)
