God's love for us: It is not by sight but by faith that we are saved. In the Old Testament, man was required to offer an animal sacrifice to God as a temporary covering for one's sin. These animals had to be perfect, without spot or blemish. Mankind could never escape sin on their own--so God's special lamb, his son Jesus Christ, a man without sin or any kind of wrong doing, was sent down to earth to shed his blood on the cross and conquer sin (Christ took our punishment as sinners). The animal sacrifice was temporary, but the cross was once and for all.
Because of that, all we have to do is ask Jesus to come into our hearts, forgive us of our sins and lead our lives, and he will. So long as we mean it from our hearts. Salvation is not something we can earn, it is a free gift from God. :)
Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20
My Anime Details:
My History: Well I have actually been watching anime since I was a little boy. My first series were "Superbook and The Flying House", two Christian related anime series that aired in the early 80's. Back then I had no idea what anime even was, nor that I was even watching it. As time went on (and my family got the Sci-Fi Channel), I started seeing these movies on there that looked quite a bit different than other styles of animation. This was especially true when I saw a movie in the early 90's called "Galaxy Express 999". The title that really got me into the genre though was "Tenchi the Movie", and yeah, I saw it on Sci-Fi channel back then too. It was around that time when I started to realize just what anime really was.
At Present: Due to my short attention span, I usually end up watching multiple series at the same time, jumping from one to another. I enjoy "slice of life" and "shoujo" anime best of all. I have also become quite fond of quirky, obscure and under appreciated anime titles. There is just something so cool about finding those little hidden gems.
Lastly, I will pretty much watch anything made by Studio 4°C. Love that company!
How I Handle My Anime List: After reading my history section, you probably have a good idea as to why my "dropped" and "on hold" list seem to be kind of high. It's because back then, there was no other way to watch anime other than occasionally catching it on TV, or renting the VHS copies from the video store. And so many titles I just never got around to finishing, either because there were no more episodes brought over, or the fact that I found other series more worth my time. You may have also noticed that I like to keep my "plan to watch" section relatively small. That's because I can be quite picky when it comes to picking up an anime series. It usually has to have something that I really find interesting in order for me to even consider adding it to my list. I won't add just anything that looks mildly amusing to me. That, and the fact that I want my total anime entries to reflect what I have actually seen, and not so much what I plan to. Rarely will I ever update the fact that I am "re-watching" something.
How I Handle My Manga List: Nothing really much to say here. I never really got into reading manga that much, so I don't really have a defined system as to how I handle it. The only time I ever really update it, is when I see something that I will eventually plan to read. Though when I will actually get around to reading said title, will most likely not be anytime soon.
Now don't get me wrong, I love to make new friends on here, but I would prefer we exchange a few messages and/or comments first. This way I know you really want to be my buddy, and aren't sending me a friend request just for the sake of doing it. Additionally, I only keep friends on my list who stay in contact with me, at least under a decent basis anyway.
Also, you must be a "Miami Dolphins" fan!
My Gaming Side:
Blurb: As mentioned before, I am a long time gamer. My first console was the Nintendo Entertainment System, and I would estimate that I have been playing games for almost as long I have been watching anime--about 7 years old. My love for gaming is equal to that of my love for anime, and on my downtown I pretty much balance these two equally. Due to the rising cost of "new releases," I tend to wait for a game to come down in price before purchasing it. Don't really care to play games on emulators and the like, prefer actually owning a physical official copy of the game. My top favorite genres are J-RPGs, Survival Horror, and Platformers. But I am open up to any genre really, with the exception of FPS (fist person shooter) games, just never really got into those. One of my biggest pet peeves in gaming is "fanboys". It really distresses me to think that there are gamers out there who will miss out on good quality titles, simply because of the name on a system. As gamers we should be fanboys for games, and NOT consoles. So yeah, it probably goes without saying that I try to own just about ever current gen system that is released, so long as there is a decent line up of titles for it. I don't purchase all my consoles at once though, that can get costly. Now that doesn't mean that I don't have my system(s) of choice, they tend to change each gen based on the kind of games that come out for it. This gen, my preferred system of choice is the XBOX 360.
If I had to choose my favorite console of all time (based on quality games of course), it would have to be a tie between the Playstation 2 and Sega Dreamcast. Slowly I have been getting more into imports as of late. It's sad to think of how many cool games are stuck in Japan.
Favorites List:
Systems I Own: NES, SNES, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, DS,
Game Gear, Genesis, N64, Sega CD, Dreamcast, XBOX, XBOX 360, Gamecube, Wii, Playstation, PS2 and PSP. Sadly not all of them work anymore. *cue tear*

another hand drawn anime movie would be awesome! just like akira! CG's not bad, but too much of it can pretty much be overkill. i would like to see more cell-shading, what do you think?
maybe, i'm just giving you a heads up of what to expect! XD

i have two words to answer that: holly wood!
you'll love waking life, it's made by the same guy that did dazed and confused. except this movie is very philosophical while the other's about getting high XD

chris was hilarious back in the day! wish he were still alive and making more movies as well as belly laughs XD
the friday the 13th series is probably my favorite movie franchise, even though the movies after part 4 became rather so-so. The remake, despite not being entirely like the first one, was not too bad.
oh and another i forgot to mention: waking life. That movie was amazing! if you haven't seen it, please, it's a must!

you could mention your favorite anime movies if you wish, i'll tell you mine later
pulp fiction, tommy boy, kill bill, dead alive, friday the 13th, sympathy for mr vengeance, a clockwork orange, the tripper, monkey bone, lilo and stitch, weekend at bernies, the machinist, etc.

It wasn't serious at all, but
it was the morning of my

It shook me up for a short while.
Duty calls and I had to be back
on track in limited time. >_>
That's good ^^. I hope it stays that way
for you. My insurance paid for the car
repairing bill, but my insurance bill
went up a bit. =/

'Sup!
- Well what happened to me eh, well...you see....A long-bearded lady shot a dwarf out of a cannon. The dwarf hit me right in the Plexus and sent me flying.
I Landed a couple days ago, so here I am once again.
- I don't mind trying stuff...it's just that my mom/aunt tend to make things look so hideously gross, or it tends to smell like a sewer-system.
Or alternatively there are too many veggies in it...I hate vegetables, I'm a die-hard carnivore...not a fricking rabbit!
...Call me unadventurous =/
- Well muggings (atleast here) aren't THAT common.
And if there are store-guards all the less likely that anything gets lifted
(shop-security --> look for one that has one/some??)
Don't let som'n so simple stop you from earning money! XD
And "average height" means shit to me XD....what's average height" 9 feet? 3 feet?? :3
- Visio eh...don't know anything about em...never even seen em in the stores here...since here the popular ones are either Philips (Aurora), Sony (Bravia) or Samsung (LG ?), so i can't help you there m8.But as far as affordability goes...HD's are getting more and more cheap, so you'll prolly find som'n to suit your tastes (unless you insist on that 70" screen from Pioneer for eg...then you may want to get an extra mortgage and fill in some forms, kay :3 )
- I like gameshows too, but the gameshows in my country just suck. So I watch most TV/series on my PC since I can CHOOSE what I wanna see, which wins against a whole night of mindless stupidity, not even fit for the madhouse.
- Keep the VCR-spirit alive. still got some movies lying around IIRC. Rewinding is bad for the thing? or real-time rewind, AKA not back to the beginning? Never knew O.o
- Hmph...get your FF-act together and start answering them questions!
I do as well :3
Talk to ya soon m8,
L8r!
- Lithy.

I'll try. Next week though, not this week DX.
I am. I got into an accident earlier this
year and that made me paranoid.
^^. Thanks for your concern.

Yeah ;) One thing makes me wonder: What's review?
So far I found every anime season I was looking after (it never happened before, there's many unpopular series, it's hard to get them all togheter). Impressive.
And people are nice (for example you ;))
My friend told me that ''most interesting people are people watching anime''. It's not a rule, but it agrees with my experience.
Are you from USa, or...?
Thank you ;)
I'm from Poland and I moved to Norway 1,5 year ago. I'm trying my best, but I'm self-taught.
I have expression I saw this anime-Fairy Tale before, when I was a little kid. Melody sounds familliar...
My very first one was Maya the Honeybee, but, of course, I didn't realize it was an anime ;) Then Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh.
What keeps you watching anime? 20 years, it's great deal of time...
