Depressed -- Saturday school for the next 14 weeks
Intro:
Allow me to introduce myself. I am just your average...or not-so-average...college sophomore, trying to finish ASAP so I can get on with my life. My two favorite pastimes right now are watching movies at the theatre and watching anime (as well as reading manga, finishing my MAL profile...(finally, after two previous attempts o_o) and watching the Discovery Channel). Yep... I have been living in the great land known as the Lone Star State my entire life. I have many talents and hobbies (and frankly, I'm talented in all my hobbies). In May 2004, "someone who wishes to remain anonymous... <.< >.>" officially introduced me to anime, and my enthusiasm about it has grown ever more every day since then.
I have been described as witty and sarcastic, and I enjoy deviating myself from the "norm." I am also a perfectionist, so I am really particular about things, which is why you may see me constantly adjusting stuff until I think it is right. I guess you could consider me nocturnal since I usually sleep from 6:00am - 2:00pm. I hate the daytime, and in my opinion, my day doesn't really start until after 8:00pm. >_< So, if you see me making posts on this site at unusual hours of the day...well, it's not that unusual. I only go to sleep when I'm bored or if my body can't take it anymore. XD
In October 2004 I went to my first high school anime club meeting at our public library. I always wondered what it would be like to be an Officer. Well, sometimes you must be careful what you wish for. ^_^ In 2007 I officially became one of the four Officers, and was President in 2008 (before retiring due to my age).
The link in my website is for a forum I created so the anime club members could chat with each other even when the meetings are not going on (because it only takes place once a month), and to keep them informed about any changes or events our club is having.
Even though the club consists mainly of local high schoolers, ANY anime fans are welcome, so I hope you will join and chat with us sometime! ^_^

When I first started, it was not uncommon to download scripts and/or summaries off a 2400 baud modem connected to some BBS to watch along with a grainy sixth-generation copy of whatever your "friend of a friend of a friend" could get you from Japan, maybe a year after it first aired there. Now we have almost instant access to the best that country offers. It's really an interesting transition, but the neat thing is that anime itself has improved over the years, into a product whose potential was just hinted at in earlier years.
