Chronologically Sorted Anime List (Entry added when I start an anime) @ Anime Planet

First downloaded anime: 11eyes, I did some research and some remembering and it was Fubuki's release in 720p, probably a TV release but it may have been a BD release as well.
This means that I started watching anime the proper way at 25-Apr-2011.

The first anime I archived (after finishing): Did some research. Persona 4, Commie's 720p TV release.
This means that I started archiving anime at 13-May-2012.

Archive sizes, music and VNs not included (I'll sort my archived anime into folders soon, each season will have it's on folder. I'll update this list soon™):
Total size 12-Feb-2013: 815 GiB.

Started using the [re]MAL theme on 19-Jan-2013.
Started using MAL Updater on 20-Jan-2013, I never thought it would be this useful. No more 10+ torrent feeds per season!

Started using tags in the list at 07-Feb-2013, I tagged the two shows that I watched on Dutch TV (see below) and Air.
I decided to start using them more actively for extra information on 16-Feb-2013.

Currently a Quality Checker (in training) at Hatsuyuki Fansubs.
Applied for the position at 26-Jan-2013@10:52, the timestamp because... I also archive my "important" e-mail.
I actually archive or log everything, lol.

I never watched Air episode 13, the recap episode, because it's a recap and it's not included with uguu's BD release.

The same list, but copied from the Anime Planet list and therefore lacks numbers before an entry, some names may also differ (English variant and what not), all entries starting from entry #213: "Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru" should have proper MAL names. This list may not always be up-to-date:

Don't take my ratings seriously, they're based on enjoyment and make no sense at all. For more serious ratings subtract between 3 and 5 points for any show except the few that even critics rate 9-10.
As of Q1 2013 I created some new guidelines for myself, old shows will be re-rated eventually.

Rating guidelines, version 1.0, 15-Mar-2013:
1 : Absolute horseshit, this is given very rarely. But a show where there is drama because people die and then a happy everybody-got-revived ending will definitely get this because that is a very, very shitty ending. Also used for similar cases.
2 : Fuck this why I am even watching this? Horrible in every way.
3 : Boring, turn your brains off when you watch this. Daydreaming all the time.
4 : Disappointing, this just didn't deliver at all. Avoid if you can unless you like being disappointed or turn your brains off.
5 : A decent watch, not bad by any means but only watch if you have plenty of time.
6 : A nice watch, watching it is worth it but nothing that special.
7 : Very entertaining, no obvious plot holes.
8 : The best a comedy can get, extremely entertaining. No big plot holes allowed.
9 : Epic story, very clever.
10: It got me you-know-what-I-mean or it has an really, really epic story.

Exceptions to this list: Ahiru no Quack; Nils no Fushigi na Tabi.
Info about an old "problem", because me = archivist:

Anime without start/end date is watched between September 2010 and June 2011 (MAL sometimes filled in the dates with some series during those times though thank you episode details button, filled in some more stuff using that).
I actually registered multiple times throughout September 2010, but MAL had a lot of database issues at that time, I thought it was around 16 September.
Exceptions: Ahiru no Quack; Nils no Fushigi na Tabi (Memories...).
Extra info about old stuff:

I started posting on the forums discussions each episode starting winter 2011/2012, I commented on every new show, older shows that I started watching before this season don't have posts, older shows that I started watching after this season do have posts. I also started commenting on other stuff around the Fall 2012 season.
Exceptions: Bakuman (Ep1+); Air (Ep4+).

The following list is spoiler free, everything is described in such a way that you really don't know what I mean unless you've watched it. I also tend to lie in here to confuse those who haven't finished or started a show yet. If something is written here that may spoil stuff please do report it.
List of you-know-what-I-mean-once-you-watched-it:
(alphabetically ordered; entry date not in changelog, date is shown here instead; I may occasionally change stuff; may not be complete.)
15-Mar-2013 Confirmed Air (history part)
15-Mar-2013 Confirmed Angel Beats (the end)
15-Mar-2013 Confirmed Clannad and/or Clannad: After Story (when X got really ill)
15-Mar-2013 Confirmed JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012) (when X got ill in a old hotel)
15-Mar-2013 Probably Kanon (2006) (unknown, probably when an friend went away)
15-Mar-2013 Maybe Kuroshitsuji (unknown, probably at the end)
15-Mar-2013 Probably NHK ni Youkoso! (unknown, probably when the visitor farm-boy went home)
15-Mar-2013 Confirmed Psycho-Pass (near the end because of the portable boom)
15-Mar-2013 Probably Steins;Gate (unknown, probably in the repeat-dat-shit part)
13-Apr-2013 Confirmed Uchuu Kyoudai (flashback at the buggy)

Changelog (Chronological list updates not added, see start date instead):

Post numbers aren't accurate at all, MAL likes to roll back their forums and a lot of my posts will be gone because of that.
Example: I watched Sakurasou ep 6-21 this weekend, all those will probably be gone.
I'm too lazy to actually archive all of my posts as well in text files since they usually don't contain anything important.
1st, 100th, 250th, 500th, 750th post unknown.
1000th post (27-Oct-2012): Btooom! Episode 4 Discussion.
1250th post (20-Jan-2013): Minami-ke Okaeri Episode 2 Discussion.
1500th post (16-Mar-2013): Little Busters! Episode 15 Discussion.

Note to self:
I shall re-watch Sakamichi no Apollon, I dropped it but I shall force myself to pick it up again at some point. It wasn't that bad IIRC.

What are your opinions of the anime this season?
Also, I started making gifs ^.^

ichigo1991 | 05-04-13, 4:35 PM

I think you've gotten harsher with your rating system. Giving Gj-bu a 5/10. It's thanks to you that I decided to watch it. It's probably number 2 this season for me.

RediceRyan | 03-31-13, 12:52 PM
What did you think of Oreshura, Tamako Market, and Maoyuu Maou Yuusha?

RediceRyan | 03-26-13, 6:45 PM
The setting and world building of Shinsekai Yori naturally appealed to me. Something about the distant future and how it isn't filled with technology like you'd expect. I didn't have to work hard to get into it or find it fascinating. Unlike Maoyuu Maou Yuusha, I couldn't care less about midevil economics and the generic world full of demons and humans. Maybe I have an unfair baised against anything set during that time period. I'll have to watch Spice and Wolf to find out whether or not I can enjoy that type of anime.

Do you like Jojo's Bizarre Adventure more than Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita?

RediceRyan | 03-25-13, 1:50 PM
So, you've given out 10's to anime that haven't got you to cry?
Why'd you give Shinsekai Yori a 10?

Heiwajima_Mayu | 03-16-13, 11:34 AM

Hey, everyone :3
It's been a while, so hope you've all been doing well ^_^

First of all, regarding the Best chara voting, the winner is Aomine Daiki.
So we had another special edition dedicated to him, one of the cards is still available and will be for the next 2-3 days at most.
So if you'd like to request, but already haven't, you can do it HERE.

Also, the February's character SE dedicated to Takao Kazunari is also going to stay opened for a couple of days.
You can request the cards HERE.

One more thing, since the First anniversary of the club was on March 10, though late, we still plan to celebrate it.

The March's character SE, this time dedicated to Kiyoshi Teppei, is most likely going to be opened during the next week.

And since the club is going to reach 3000 members soon, we're going to celebrate it by having a LE in April.
We're also going to have a new character SE soon after. (meaning for April)

So, in case you want to make sure you won't miss any of these events, we suggest you to keep your eyes on the club xD

Thank you very much for always supporting us!
Have a nice week :3

Hah, I guess I misinterpreted your message. That's good to know though. After this season is over, I plan on finishing all the series I put on hold so it won't be long. Shinsekai is one of those types of anime that I prefer not to follow weekly, but I am very interested in the rest.

I see. I use to have a really bad memory of my posts as well. :P

Saya no Uta would be a really good start if you plan on getting into them. The story is pretty good considering its length and it won't have the slowness you'd see in a regular visual novel with a SoL setting. After having read a few myself, I've started to consider visual novels to be my new favorite medium. There's a very unique style of storytelling that comes with the medium that I find very attractive, and most serious VNs don't try to pander to the masses (considering how much of a limited fanbase there is for visual novels), so you usually have better quality stories than you do with anime. And while Saya isn't something I'd consider the best, it's a good eye-opener for what you can expect from the medium in general.

Sure, I'll give you that in a PM. I'm not on all that often, but I can log on if you ask to.

kenshin_sama | 03-12-13, 2:20 PM
Shinsekai really turned out like that? I mean, hell, I didn't like it as much as the other fans, but I thought it was suppose to be a plot anime. That's a bit disappointing. :(

I doubt the series could be summed up like that. There have been a few unpredictable events in this anime so far and I'm sure there will be more before it ends.

It's from Saya no Uta. It's a really good VN if you haven't tried it yet. I think you'd really like it since it was written by the same person who did Madoka (although I personally think Madoka is a lot better).

kenshin_sama | 03-12-13, 1:26 PM
"This episode was pretty interesting, but it did lack depth. I wished they took their bloody time with this and made this more interesting."

A legitimate gripe, it's too bad this isn't really a plot anime. It tries to put more focus on the characters while devoting a handful of episodes to the plot in order to make it more interesting. I definitely like what the writer is trying to do since I am mostly a character person, but I can see how it'd be a little bit of a let-down to you. But I'm almost too sure at this point that there will be a 3rd season, so hopefully it'll be a little more developed by then.

RediceRyan | 03-11-13, 9:02 AM
Thanks for the long explanation.
Do you understand Japanese well enough to translate?
Also, I've noticed some of your anime on your watch list you've been with for over 600 days. What's taking so long to finish them?
I would've dropped season one of 'Hell Girl' if you've only watched 1 episode 634 days ago

RediceRyan | 03-11-13, 1:58 AM
Something i've always wondered about fansubbing.

When there's a letter, notebook ,sign, or lcd screen shown; how do they match the font, size, and even angle of the text. Especially when the scene isn't stationary.

Like this for example
