I'm a musician, writer, and cartoonist, and in my free time I love to watch anime. My favorite manga is Alice 19th, and my favorite anime is probably either Ouran High School Host Club or Shugo Chara. Clamp is awesome, yay for Cardcaptors and even Tsubasa Chronicles [I'm one of the rare ones that likes it lol]. I typically like romance-shoujo-fantasy-school life-comedy, but then surprisingly I like Gurren Lagann and a few others that don't fit my normal categories.

Hello Mantret, just dropping in to say hi! :3 I've been watching a little bit of Ouran High School Host Club here and there! It's shaping up to be a pretty enjoyable anime, I think! I dunno why, but I always start snickering/giggling when Tamaki does his "sophisticated and fabulous" routine. I love how they're a bunch of rich guys, so they make a big deal outta "commoner ramen!" and they had a gigantic presentation for preparing "commoner coffee" :D

A new anime to watch?! Well, letsee... I'm afraid my sense of humor may be a little different than yours, but one thing I'm pretty sure on is Clannad!
Try Clannad! It's got a romance plot, and is actually very, very funny (imo!) Careful, though! It's sort of seperated into story arcs - and some of the drama in it ends up being quite bittersweet. ;3

Ouran High School Host Club! I've watched one episode of that and haven't gotten any further than that. What are your thoughts on it? Is it too girly-girly for me to handle? ;3

Ooh, Kamichama Karin sounds interesting! I'll have to try it out. :D Thank you for you recommendations! I thought about watching mermaid Melody a while ago.
Have you watched Aria the Animation at all? It's a relaxed story that revolves around different characters and there lives. The scenery is just beautiful.
And I also highly recommend AIR. :D The characters are just amazing and it's a very cute story, although it has a bit of a bittersweet ending.
I can not wait for the second season of Shugo Chara!! :3

Yeah, I'm somewhat into shoujo, but mecha is my favorite!
I really need to watch some more shoujo series though. I'm watching Nanoha right now and I like it so far! :] Care to recommend me another one?

i think you should watch Shakugan no Shana. I'm halfway through it, and I love it so far! :) It has a lot of action and drama in it.
