greetings from my profile, which will remain simplistic and ugly without pictures or graphics since I'm not computer-graphics savvy and generaly lazy.

Who I am

My name is Dorota and I am currently 19 years old. I study psychology in Czech republic, Brno and fill my days with nothing of productive value. I also leech off my parents (which I'm ashamed of).

What do I like

I like tons of stuff.

I love theatre - especially modern theatre and I have a weakness for Shakespeare in general. (When was the last time you visited the National theatre? Try something classical or even better something new! And if you long for something different, try searching for an alternative, small theatre group which plays things which were specifically written for them and by them!)

I love music - name a genre and I'll name an artist belonging to it which I like. I'm not narrowminded. Except about metal - it bores me, and the artists (with an exception of Rammstein and System of the Down) have yet to prove me otherwise.

I love movies - I visit cinemas and especialy club ones as often as I can. Right now I'm amazed at the number of totally awesome and crucial films I have yet to see. And also at the very large number of trashy ones I didn't see either.
Movies I totally have to see in close future: Barbarella, Casablanca, Watchmen (it's gonna be oh so awesome . . . I hope)

I love books - they have been my passion for about as long as I was able to read. I don't read as much as I used to (that is about two books a week), but I'm still pretty enamoured with dusty tomes and smelly paperbacks. Right now I'm looking for lesbian pupl fiction from the fifties in e-format (since they were not published in my country :/)

I love comics - I think it's a genre that ought to be respected and taken seriously. I own a large portion of comic books of quality which were published in my country. Right now I really wish somebody would publish Lost Girls from Alan Moore.
My favourite writers and the series which made me fall in love with them: Alan Moore (Watchmen), Neil Gaiman (Sandman), Warren Ellis (Transmetropolitan), Grant Morrison (The Invisibles)

From what I noticed, the BL and mature shoujos started being more numerous 2 years ago... well, by that we can't say there are a lot of them now, but sometimes in the "new adding" shelves, we have one BL or jousei manga :) it's a progress! ^^ The seinen genre has been released for a longer time, so we have a lot (i don't know kiichi though). Hehe, you want to learn french? ^^ good luck! PetiteChatonne | 06-01-08, 7:41 PM Oh, I didn't know Obsession still had it, i'm gonna check it out ;) Hehe, well paris is very pretty in summer and the rest of the year, I think it's bleh, all grey and cold, and not sunny, etc ^^ But a lot of activity ;) Yes we have a lot of manga released but unfortunately most are still in the traditional shounen, seinen and cute shoujo types. ^^ they're fine too, but more idversity is needed. Actually these last years, thanks to the raising popularity of scanlation in France, may benevolent staffers get employed by real editing companies for manga, and we can feel the selection of the works edited here is influenced by that! More mature shoujo and Bl are being released...they're still very few though, it's only just starting, but it's good! XD XD This way I could discover one of my fav BL oneshot, "kyuuso ha cheese no..." that is on my fav manga list here on my profile XD Reply - Anime - Manga

I just discovered her rather recently, I was looking randomly at BL manga pages here on MAL, and the cover and story of Lovers & Souls seemed interesting, so i searched for it....
