About Llama_Guy
Name's van der Meeren. Espen van der Meeren. I'm Norwegian. Like mostly everyone here I'm into anime and manga. I also like reviewing series, and I'll bet that half my random visitors come here because they've read a review of mine. The fact that I'm currently the third most 'Helpful' voted reviewer is something I take pride and elation in, since it shows I'm doing a steady job at it.

Aside that, uh, I'm working as a trainee in and study electronics, currently in twelfth grade of school. I'm also taking general academic and scientific courses. If we had something like it, I'd probably be a honors student - my grades are mostly sixes and some fives.

Aside that, uh, I'm, in a way, rather athletic. I'm not extremely active or anything, but I've got teh natural skills =P And I play football regularly - no teams, though. I'm fairly skilled in athletics, especially running, but I've never really considered joining a team. I also, as of recently, bike to work. It is real fun.

I also love playing music, and currently play the tuba in school band. On my free time I also spend time practicing the piano. Been playing seriously for a year and a half now, and I mostly play anime-related songs I find off the net (mainly Josh's anime sheet music).

Intermit right now. No random friend requests, please! If you don't get this message, you've obviously not read my profile, making your request even more lolfail.

Further on, I'm also a fanfic writer, and am currently working on a large Pokémon fanfic. Whenever I get that published on the net I'll link to it here. For this purpose I usually hang around SPPf (Serebii.net's forum), where I read and review fanfiction, and enjoy the awesome intrigues that play out there at times (believe me, it's almost like a soap drama of the net).

While it does not always seem like it, I'm decently smart person; I've got an average IQ of 150 across five different intelligences, and I do indeed act smart often. But at times, believe me, I'm like the dumbest person in the world (most likely because of my slight naïveté). I'm often very logical and structured in my way of thinking and acting, but at times I'm also more free-minded, and I don't shun away from the inclinations of philosophical thought either.

In other words, I'm pretty much an all-around, jack-of-all-trades person. But I'm dreadfully lazy and unmotivated.

Also, underneath is a personality test result for the interested.

Ah, I see. I'll add to my plan to read list.

Then I must have missed something :P.
5.8 sounds like a good result, we don't got that system in Sweden, thought.

IB have it's own system, 1-3/4 (3 or 4, differs from different subjects) that you failed the class and 5-7 is good grade. A 6 is a superb grade, if you manage to pull off 7s you'll get into whatever college you're interested in, and not surpisingly, it's also harder to get. ;(

Heh, I've never really been used of doing homework, or train to tests. Until now, as you said, IB is all about tests and essays. But you also have a much higher chance on being accepted by colleges outside you country, than you got with the national programmes, and that's the reason why I'm in IB ;).

Haha nice. I'm actually somewhat against the ecchi genre because of its repititiveness and obnoxiousness. But in same cases it isn't too bad (i.e. Kimi no Iru Machi).

Hmm.... I will have to check it out.... Lately I've had trouble getting into the 'neverending' shounen sutff but.. this might be the one haha.

Sorry to bother you again, but I have to ask. How is History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi? I've always wanted to read it but I've been reluctant to.

Rodaa | 11-18-09, 2:13 PM
Well, year 1-3 in elementary, 4-6 middle school, 7-9 junior high and 10-12 high school. Strange that the school system isn't that similar to each other, I mean, Norway and Sweden are so close.

Is it suposed to be 3 years + 2? That's 5years, you must have forgotten one ^.^
So you take it in four? sounds tough, and how much do you need to study. ;S?

I wish I could have only 2years in high school, but I'd die by workload, literally. The IB programme is in English, only, and when I finish pre-IB(first year), I'll enter the real one (remember, Swedish school system don't allow only 2 years of high school). Where I choose 6subject, 3 or more on ''hard'' and the rest on normal. And it's all about essays, and tests, and being grilled by my history teacher. >.<

Yes, Todai is really hard to get into, and Japanese do live to work, true I know a Japanese. So getting in to Todai is slim, but not impossible, my teacher told me about a studen who graduated some years ago and got into Todai.

Goddamn. Is it good to be multi-lingual? I only know 2 languange. :(

Anyways, I see that you're a fan of Clannad ~AS~. Good news! It's #1 now. It ended LotGH's reign. :D I'm so happy, lol.

Rodaa | 11-18-09, 11:58 AM
4 years in high school? Never heard of anything like that, thought the program I'm going should be 2 years, but it's unfotrunatly not allowed by the Swedish school syetem ;(.

You got a dangerus hobby there, well you must like it if you want to do such things in the middle of the atlantic ocean.(okay not in the direct middle, but you get the point :P)

I've always wanted to move to Japan too, and Todai is one of the universities I'm planning to apply to^^. But I guess most of the anime loving fans on myanimelist want to move to Japan ;].

its alrite~
it was pretty much expected anyways~

Rodaa | 11-17-09, 9:45 AM
Hehe^^, I wan't free time too, something which is hard to get, well, except when your name is Bill Gates. ;P

Anyway, I hope that I can get a decent, well-paid job after I graduate from college, and it's some time left since I haven't even started college. xD (3years to go, yay)

You should graduate from high school in a year or two, right?
Are you going off to a college :]?

Rodaa | 11-17-09, 6:48 AM
Seems like you've sorted out the problem of paying your bills in the distant future, j/k. ;P¨
So is it something you're planning on working with ^^?

Rodaa | 11-16-09, 9:16 AM
Yeah, three years is alot in our age. And worse, she should be 4years older than me because I'm born 93. ;(

So you're into psychology and stuff? I must agree that it's an interesting subject. So do you know much about it, or just picked up what you've heard? ;)

UrbanScythe | 11-16-09, 1:43 AM
You have good taste in anime. Can i be your friend please ?

Rodaa | 11-15-09, 1:16 PM
Haha, okay you got you cellphone to blame... for now. :P
I can't say that I dream anything any more either, well I most probably can't remember it. But just as bad anyway.

What have you been up to lately?

EDIT: I also checked the user you told me about, her ''about me'' is totally hilarious. :P
She really got a way with words.^^

Rodaa | 11-14-09, 4:35 PM
Yes indeed, point taken. :P Since you live in Norway, it should be over 01:30 there too, and if you're even half as tired as me - you should go to bed because I certainly will!
Good night, dream about anime, and don't get up after 12 tomorrow. :P
