About Linxyou
I've been an anime fan for years. Excluding Sailor Moon, Pokemon, DBZ, Digimon, and all the anime from my childhood, around the '90s, I started to get more into anime because of Inuyasha, when I was in grade 5/6, which is probably around 2004/2005. Inuyasha became my favourite because it was my first encounter on an anime that completely got me hooked onto Japanese animation, and then Japanese culture. Probably like most anime fans, I was a die-hard anime geek, who spent her time watching anime, reading manga, and didn't care too much about the culture itself, reality, and I'll admit, I was someone who non-anime people would not want to go near or be friends with, but as I got older, I slowly got introduced to the Japanese pop culture.

Around the same time, other anime were being played on TV, so of course, I got hooked to Naruto a bit and Full-Metal Alchemist was a pretty big thing for me too. One Piece art style, to be honest, really caught my eye, in a positive way, but at that time, it was a dub version on TV, so that really didn't make a good appeal for me. The voices were a bit irritating, so I didn't bother much with it, and the story was confusing. Yu Yu Hakusho was also one of my favourites, around the time.

As I got into grade 7/8, I started to lose interest in Inuyasha, and I stopped watching around 120, I believe. I continued with Naruto, I had finished FMA early on, and I also decided to give One Piece, another chance. Now, One Piece is my all-time favourite anime. I 've learned to never judge an anime because of the style, and to actually pay attention to the story lines, and watching a few episodes, doesn't say anything about the show.

My anime phase started to lighten up in the middle of my grade 9 year, and I started to watch more Japanese dramas. Of course, I had times where I would go on and off with anime and drama, but drama had stuck to me more than anime. That's when I felt like, I have "grown up." Being tied down to loving only 2D characters, I've learned that it isn't bad, but it isn't technically good either. I spent my high school years, watching drama, reading manga, and, didn't watch anime as often as I had, except for One Piece.

In grade 10/11, I started to go to my first conventions, but I felt out of place, because I wasn't a huge anime geek, as I used to be, and all the anime/manga that were mentioned for games and activities, I feel that I didn't know anything about them. I started to get into anime again, around grade 11/12. I am now a college student, and my idea on anime and drama is neutral. I would have times where I feel that I want to watch a drama, and there are times where I really want to watch an anime.
