Well I'd recommend Gintama if you want comedy, it's the most funniest anime I ever saw, although it start a bit poor but after few eps it will be really funny and also very touching :D don't worry about the eps number, since most of the eps is stand alone and before you know it you will already catch up with it, trust me :D
