An Architect, businessman and a slave to the grind!
Got my first dose of anime when I was about 5. The most popular series at that time was ChÅdenji Machine Voltes V. The kids of my generation developed a very fierce and loyal following for that anime, too bad President Marcos cut it off the air when it was at its peak! Most of those kids are in their mid thirties by now and I think most of us do not have the "closure" of what happened to the Voltes team. Were they re-united with their father?
Its true that one may buy DVD's or download the seiries but for us young kids way back, it was our way of life. Anyway, this experience primed me for more anime that was to come again to Philippine shores by 1986. Then came Macross, Astro Boy etc, and the rest is history.

Hi there!
I think right now I have Solva from Needless. It's hard to keep track as I've been changing avatars quite frequently

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I don't know if you got the chance to check it out, but I finally put up the pic of Gouda I did earlier this year.

Yeah, I haven't been updating the Adaptation club much, because there's not a whole lot of new info...

Man, this is weird. Your profile isn't showing up on the member list for the Shirow Room. Neither is Turbe, but it shows up on your profile... Strange. I was sad because I thought you guys left!

You should check out the vids I posted, especially the one for the GitS ps1 game.

When I noticed there wasn't any talk about GitS, my jaw just about dropped. So, I made the club and it seems to be a success. Thank you for joining though, because now our threads are actually getting some hits!

You're welcome (and thanks for joining). As for learning about Shirow, that's what the club is for. I hope to get some more in depth conversations going so even people who don't know his works that well can get the gist of what they're about. Did you read the post about mangavolume.com? It might not have Ghost in the Shell, but it does have Appleseed, which is the 2nd biggest Shirow series. You should check it out, if you have the time.
