Don't bother with the half finished anime- start your love for the Jellyfish Princess where it all began. This manga is fantastic, and is one of the few I salivate a little when I see an update. This is soon to be a classic in the Josei genre and is rightfully so. With it's wonderful characters, humor, art, and beautiful story, this needs to be a read next.
Story: For those who have seen the anime and want to know what happens next, read on. This takes place much later than the anime, and gets better with every turn. The story isn't so outlandish that it

could never happen. In fact, I want it to happen. I wish I had a beautiful transformation like Tsukimi. But- I don't have to. Inner beauty and all that jazz.
Art: It's okay. I'm not a fan of all the tones, but the art is pleasant and there are some scenes that are downright breathtaking.
Character: Tsukimi is me. There are so many times where I have had to put the book down to think 'me too'. She is so much like every girl, it's scary. Although there is a bit of transformation (physically) in the story, she still stays rooted to who she is. Also- can I be frank and say the love between her and Shuu is the cutest thing I have yet to read?
Overall- There is a reason this has won so many awards. There is a reason it is one of the highest rated Josei's out there. Find out for yourself. Read this one.

A 'will they or won't they?' for the older ladies, Candy Life is a sweet as a barrel of tabasco and honey. Don't get me wrong, as far as this genre goes it wasn't awful- but there was something left to be desired as the climax of the series hit, and the plot got rolling.
Story- as said above, the story seemed to be too slow at first and then BAM! climax and then BAM! story is over. Which is sad seeing as the story had so much potential. However, It was still enjoyable.

die for from Manga-ka Ogawa Yayoi. Josei lovers will know her for titles like Kimi wa Pet, and this story has the same beautiful art. Love it.
Character: as said above, I wish this were a little longer. Just as we were getting a little growth- the novel was over! It seemed rushed toward to end and it was a little jarring to the system.
Overall- This is worth it if you love the manga-Ka and just HAVE to read all the Josei you can. Otherwise, you can pass this one on.

Think of the worst things that can happen. It happens here. Not only that, but this manga takes the phrase 'from bad to worse' to a whole new level. Wow. I don't think I've ever read anything that rips out my heart like this manga.
Story: Like above. Wow. Just wow. Have tissues, and maybe someone to talk to about your feelings after this one, because just when you thought something good will happen- NOPE! But dagnabit, I want them to end up happy! So if that was the intent, well done.
Art: Didn't really do it for me. There was more than a few panels that

were awkward. Maybe it might be your cup of tea, but not quite mine.
Character: They were, despite every horrible thing that happened, somewhat believable. I understood their motivations and wanted them to succeed, and there was a good deal of growth. Well done.
Overall- This plays out like some of Law and Order SVU, and it is a good read if you want a good cry. This novel is a good one, but very heavy. Worth a read, but not exactly a top priority. Just remember to talk to Olivia Benson about your emotions afterwards and hug a stuffed animal or something.

(1st review!) WARNING: NSFW (GRAPHIC SEX)
This is such a great read. The story revolves around small novellas following different couples in Japan. The story is striped back, and there aren't always happy ending, but they feel very real, and is a great addition to your Josei list.
Story: There are many short stories, however I could only find a dozen or so translated on various manga scanalation reading websites. Although, you'll want to read more. The stories themselves, as stated before, seems so real. These things may have happened to a friend, or even yourself. It's hard not to implant yourself into the situations- and

I think that makes for a great story!
Art: the style is clean, stark black and white with little to no tones. I think this fits the story very well. The phrase 'no frills' comes to mind. However, this is exactly the kind of art I gravitate toward- as it is very similar to American graphic art styles.
Character: there is no character development as these are only short stories, however I feel like I know these woman- I've gone to coffee with them! The characters are so close to real life, it's scary and they make for a great emotional draw.
Overall: I liked this series and have read it a few times over. If you love Josei- Read this next!

Whoooah! Girl who thinks she's just plain somehow has a house of not 2, 3, or 4 boys in love with her- It's a baker dozen! All in love with her and kinda sexual harassment-y at times.
And that's it. That's as deep as it goes. Sure they try and put some tragic back story to gain some sort of plot- But the attempt is weak and the outcome is a fomalic romance that only a young teenage would find romantic.

new dozen (give or take) brother. Sure there's some whole family love thing going on with her, but all the brothers seem to want more than just darling sister, and let her know. A lot. It's to the point of cringe.
Art: yeah, It looks pretty.
Sound: the voice to me is annoying. Especially the attempt at a side kick. No thank you.
Character: Development? Plot? what are those things? There is no changes to speak of! Nothing happens between them and in the end everything is the same. Did any of them grow? no. Did any of them become a better person? NO. In fact, they just learned better ways to step up the rapey game. Awesome. Not to mention that I am to believe that a dozen men all fall in love with the same girl within a couple of months of meeting this person for the first time and the whole family is ruined because of it? Not even close to true.
Overall: I think this helped me learn some Japanese phrases as it was the same thing over and over. Not really enjoyable. I kept thinking it'd get better. Nope. If you are thinking this is a great harem like Ouran- please keep going. Don't waste your time.

Is it an anime? Or is it a music video (albeit a long one)? I'd say neither. Interstella takes something awesome- The music of Daft Punk's album, Discovery, and makes it better. Discovery features some awesome tracks that you may remember from the early 2000's music scene including "One More Time" and "Too Long". These songs lend themselves beautifully to a story line made just for them featuring aliens and space love. A breakdown of the show is as follows:
Story: The story is unique. No true words are ever spoken, save for the lyrics of the song. This makes for a very interesting story because

you are left to decide a lot for yourself. To me, I thin this improves the viewing experience. There are many parts of the movie that you and I may have differing views about due to interpretation, and that's great.
Art: Does this anime look familiar? Like a certain Captain we know and love? It should! Art direction from none other than anime legend Leiji Matsumoto gives this anime an awesome retro and nostalgic vibe. That alone is enough to warrant a 10 rating.
Sound: Once again- Music by electronic music legend Daft Punk? Say no more. I'm watching it.
Character: This is a tough thing to give a score on. As mentioned above, there is no dialog from the characters. However there is an attempt to a backstory and justification, so the characters don't exactly fall flat. Just don't expect any major character development.
Enjoyment: Awesome to watch, awesome to listen to while doing chores. This is enjoyable in many ways.
All in All- If you love music and a retro vibe, watch it. And if not, Still watch it! When to geniuses of there field get together, the effect is something amazing.
