Oh my, what a touching and sad tale about the life of someone living in Vietnam. They really did a good job covering the hardships that Miu (sp?) has to deal with. She even lost he leg and her brother just trying to survive by selling bomb duds!

And now both Kai and Riku, two normal Japanese boys, are looking at this scenario right in the face and needless to say Riku is a little surprised by all of it.

Now I like that even though this episode has pretty much nothing to do with Saya and the main story I still found it quite enjoyable because it's just such an emotional side-story. Plus, it allows for more character development with people like Riku which is nice. And of course this story won't end here either, for some reason the military has gotten involved! What in the hell kind of meds could Argeno be giving to this sweet girl?! And then they even abduct her? That's so cold and heartless!

But to me it looked like that sound they kept playing for Riku and Miu to hear must have been on the same frequency or whatever as one of the mice's roars. So perhaps they plan to use these two to help them find more mice on the loose. But still they're just children!

Kai really enjoyed playing baseball with the kids didn't he? As much as he doesn't want to admit it it seems like baseball is something he was just born to do. he really should've stuck with it.

It also seems as though Riku has a little crush! How sweet, I hope he'll be willing to protect her now that the military has captured them. I also like how he did his best to help her when her father was injured, I guess even if she can't go to France she can at least still help her family out in some way. But still, it's just so dangerous.

So yeah I definitely enjoyed this episode despite the lack of Saya. Also, lolz at David completely ignoring Julia's cries for attention with that dress! XD I guess he's just not that into her, serves her right!

I see, maybe it'll air when I get home on winter break from school. That would be nice.

I'll be watching another Blood + ep. here soon so I'll give you my thoughts then.
