This anime is incredible, the second season makes it even more so. It requires a bit of maturity to watch, especially things like the twin arc.

It's not for the faint of heart, nor the overly sensitive. or those with strong moral backround.

but for those who can look past it, this anime has it all. Action(lots of it) Comedy, and Tragedy; and a great story to go with it.

What I don't like about it, which is just a minor nitpick, is while in the second season more of the plot follows Revy and Rock, they don't expand upon their relationship much. And the rest of the black lagoon crew is phased out of the season more or less. They also fail to expand upon a few more major characters, unless there is going to be a third season.

This knocks it down a bit, but only to a minor degree for me. read more

It's hard to put this anime in to words, so I pick one, incredible.

what starts out to look like your generic run of the mill harem anime, turns in to a story of love, happiness, sadness and loss. somehow they were able to pack so much character devolopment in to 24 episodes that most stories can't do in 200.

This anime will make you laugh, it'll make you cry, you will really feel for them all. It tugs at your heart in every way imaginable. from Yuuichi's carefree sarcastic behaviour, Mai's silent but cool attitude, or Ayu's irresistible cuteness and her trademark all famous line 'Uguu~!"

I don't think you can call your self an Otaku or an Anime fan if you don't see this.

This is a must for any fan of anime, weither or not they like the Genre or not a true masterpeice.

I highly enjoyed this anime/manga picking it up due to the controversy around. Despite the content I did find the censors highly annoying in the anime. At first it seems like a lolicon's dream fest, but the story is much deeper then that; it touches on child abuse among other things. Despite what many think, this isn't just some 'Pedophile' Series.

It's very well done, despite the behaviour of kokonoe rin, whom many found uncomfortable to watch; due to her precocious behavior. But if you can look past that, you can enjoy this anime/manga.
