When all was said and done, I could do nothing but sigh. The ending may have been satisfying, but I still wanted more. Despite my distaste for graphic violence and horror, I actually wished that it were there from the beginning. That, my friends, is saying something.

Let me just say that I agree 100% with your review on 'Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai'. Just like you, I wasn't really into the horror genre until I watched the great 1st season of Higurashi (first two arcs with Keiichi as main character was scary as hell!). But 2nd season was disappointing, so I'm glad to see somone else thinking just the same:)

I've been busy recently (got a full time job now) and haven't had time for much anime. Nadesico's on hold for the moment, but I'll probably pick it up again when I go back to school this fall, if not sooner.

Thanks for writing that Nadesico review. I am currently about to try out the series and had been wondering what to expect. It sounds like your position going into the series was relatively the same as mine, having had a somewhat limited exposure to mecha. I'm not a big fan of the genre in general, but this show looks worth a try.
