Wow, im so glad to know that im not the only one. Ive legit never seen anyone who has seen noucome yet lol. Those kinds of shows and harem anime literally make up my guilty pleasure.


The fact that you should watch trashy shows is very relevant (if you have the time). Its like starving yourself for days and then eating the same food you eat at home. It will feel like your legit getting something from Gordon Ramsay (I have no lue why I though of this analogy, my brain is weird sometimes.....)

Trashy shows can also serve for some laughing material with friends. I recently watched Utsu Musume Sayuri , and to say that it was a life changing experience in the worst sense is an understatement. Watch this 3 minute short and even something like Mars of destruction will seem like a work of shakespeare

That is so lucky! Hope you find some good anime/manga during that period. Lets hope I can make it until christmas break too lol.

Besides that Oreimo is definitely a unique on to start from . Funnily enough one of the first shows I watched was one called Noucome (a very underground SOL/comedy show) and even I would prob not recommend it to anyone, especially because it prob is never gonna have a sequel.


I Got into anime when one of my neighbourhood friend said that we should watch one punch man together. Its quite strange actually cuz at the time i thought it was one of the best shows in existence but after rewatching a few episodes a year down the line, it just did not feel as amazing as before...... its prob because i watched a lot of amazing shows after that and what i defined as "spectacular" might have changed.


Lol, its prob one of the reasons I dont rewatch shows i watched early on unless they are ABOSULTELY amazing. For some reason they dont have the remotely same impact on me

Haha , yea I used to watch "anime" as a kid, you know shows like DBZ and Pokemon, beyblade , ya know those shows which are a lot of people's first animes. I only seriously started watching during the lockdown (so around 2 years ago). Had a lot of free time back due to COVID back then, now its much busier ,especially with college and everything(legit typed this after a 3 hour long lab class :\).

You seem to be a veteran on this site. Glad to see you still watching anime after all these years lol.

Those were some great years for anime wern't they? Kyoto animation and Jun maeda were at their peak and 2011 had a lot of great releases like Steins;Gate and HxH. Quite unforntinate anime was not as popular back then as it is now (Lockdown prob helped).


Ive been in the mood of watching old shows before too and happened to watch Evangalion. Even though it is over 25 years old, its concept still its concept is still so unique (you never see mecha and heavy psychological themes mixed in like it even today). I kinda liked the ending of the original series too, which happens to be an unpopular opinion.

Lol, I never understand why some people care about the art style SO much that it makes or breaks a show for them . Not seen it yet, but people are saying the whole reason Demon slayer got THAT popular was because the studio carried it by the art. Dont know how true that is but its mind boggling to think that a show became a cultural phenomenon in Japan because its an eyegasm.

Tell me about it... my friend dropped Steins;Gate after 10 episodes cuz he found it very boring. Kept telling him to wait for just 2-3 more episodes but he just wont listen. Attitudes like those can make you lose an amazing experience

Honestly, I would love to rewatch clannad too, I just dont know if ill ever be mentally prepared to watch it again( I recently rewatched the flowerfield scene and lost my shit again lol).

It's definitely one of those shows which you never forget and deserved to be in the top 10 shows on the site. Its sad that its rating lowered over the years because a lot of people find SOL boring.
