Never too late to jump on in, I guess a late welcome is in order then as well. Do you mean the anime challenge sticky? I know MAL says we have medium compatibility, but it looks like we have fairly similar interests in anime.

Oh and I'm sure you get this often now, but how was the promised land Japan?

Yeah, I was thinking about Kyoto, seems like the coolest city to me.
There's time for that tho.

Hopefully you've stayed in touch with some of your japanese buds, you can Skype with them or something to prevent you from forgetting kanji and such.
