INTJ - The "Strategist"
Temperament: NT (Intellectual)
Primary Function: Introverted Intuition
Population: 1.5% (1.25% male, 0.25% female) *Normal range is 5~10% for one of the 16 character types*
"INTJs are natural leaders, although they usually choose to remain in the background until they see a real need to take over the lead. When they are in leadership roles, they are quite effective, because they are able to objectively see the reality of a situation, and are adaptable enough to change things which aren't working well. They are the supreme strategists - always scanning available ideas and concepts and weighing them against their current strategy, to plan for every conceivable contingency. "
"At work, INTJs use their conceptual strengths to analyze situations and then develop models to understand and anticipate through relentlessly to reach their goals. They will continue on with their plans, even in the face of adversity and data that might suggest to other more practical types that their goals are no longer feasible. By nature, INTJs are independent individualists."
"To outsiders, INTJs may appear to project an aura of "definiteness", of self-confidence. This self-confidence, sometimes mistaken for simple arrogance by the less decisive, is actually of a very specific rather than a general nature; its source lies in the specialized knowledge systems that most INTJs start building at an early age. When it comes to their own areas of expertise -- and INTJs can have several -- they will be able to tell you almost immediately whether or not they can help you, and if so, how."
I'm a guy, born in South Africa, raised in England, generally pretty anti-social, doing Maths/Physics/ICT for A-levels (which correct, makes me 18 *this will be outdated really quick*). Nothing really spectacular, I drink, a little, a liiiiittle, not a lot. I dislike the whole drinking-lots-getting-wasted-random-crap-you-regret-the-next-day stuff. Nice. Not really. Have I done that kinda stuff and is that why I hate it? No, I'm not dumb enough to have to "experience" doing things I regret then saying "hey you know what, maybe I shouldn't have been a jerk to those guys and got off with their girlfriends." And just when you thought "yeah yeah, he'll change his stance at uni" I haven't. I don't drink at uni either, so ha, in your face.
I'm generally pretty down to earth, I'll be honest, my sense of humor is... normal (?) lol, I don't know. But anyway, yup, England + Not liking to drink = why hello thar anti-social boy, so I do indeed spend most of my time online (or working, le sigh ._.) but you know what, I'm happy like this, so yeah, up yours, cool kids! Naturally, if you're on the internet this much you see some scary stuff *eyeroll@4ch* and you generally play a lot of games. I've been playing FFXI for about.. 4 years *again, this will be outdated info soon enough*, and am -generally- pretty happy with it. I've got a decent number of friends on the game who really, kick ass. There's also the usual asshats, but yeah. You know. Let's not talk about that. I won't bore the vast majority of you who couldn't give a damn if I've soloed Amikiri on my SMN or not, but anyway, I'm nearly done so bear with me. Through FFXI, I met a friend. Wow, a single friend you're thinking right? Shut up smart ass <_< ahem, anyway, yeah, a friend. Said friend got me hooked on anime, and that's generally how I ended up looking up anime sites and hence, this site. I have my little "quirks", but that's what makes people eh?!
I don't go on MAL a lot since I started university, so do be aware it might take days for replies!
All the stuff bought on 2008/10/25 were bought at the London Expo 2008. I was cosplaying at that expo as L from Death Note, and pics are here (/_;) ::
Since it's summer I'm sure a lot of you have opened your windows, left them open overnight and had plenty of moths going "to the light" and creeping those less weathered to creepy-crawlies. Here's a nice little entry on moths which I found somewhat amusing:
Scattered trees cast giraffe patterns on the ground, and in the cold morning sun, leaves drifted in random, ever changing vectors, flying hither and thither. But they weren’t leaves. They were the powdery denizens of spring, the show-off but less-than-glamorous cousins of the butterfly – the moth. Heralding the arrival of spring (or was it summer) and the giant light bulb in the stratosphere, they emerged from their previously invisible pupae to dance in crazed abandon upon the streets, mating with anything and everything possible. In this way, my trouser leg was violated without prior foreplay by one of these adolescent flutterers.
Imagine, if you would, Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds”, except replace the birds with these insects. In a moment of artless imagination, I created Bertie, a moth who in that giddy dance discovers, like the humanoids of 2001: A Space Odyssey, a new paradigm of perspective. An individual, lost, like scales amongst pollens, within the crowd of instinct-driven creatures. It decides, at long last (which in fact were mere seconds by our reckoning), that those long years of evolution must have taught it something – that the big light hanging in the blue must necessarily be good, and flies upwards, upwards toward the source of all good. Our curious Icarus doesn’t get its wings torn off, but it does get high, as the waning atmospheric pressure plays havoc on the pleasure and visual centres of its miniscule brain. Regardless of the final method of its demise (being sucked into the engine of an aeroplane comes to mind), it remains that a little-known singularity within the moth population met its demise, and took with it that one-in-billion chance of an advantageous evolution, whilst those lazy crawlers lying drunkenly on the ground remained alive long enough to reproduce.
Still, walking along the streets, I suddenly noticed those dark shadows teeming in the nooks and crannies of the office buildings. What appeared to be crawling plants or simply dirt build-up were in fact colonies of thousands of moths. It’s an infestation, the invasion of the uncanny, much like those blood-spotted shadows of LAIN. In weeks, those moths will be smeared against windows, crushed on the ground, and in their place, tens of thousands of black hairy larvae. The cycle shall begin anew.

See those bags under my eyes? I swear that's just because I was smiling <_< not because I stayed up till 5am <_>; and yeah, webcam quality, deal with it.
University Course : BSc Computer Science (Undergrad)
It would appear that my entry grades were good enough for a scholarship! In other words, they are giving me £500 ($1000) because of it. Time to spend it all on animu...~
Enjoy your wall of texts.
