Hey, we haven't spoken in a while, how are you doing?
MillionsForks Oct 7, 2008 2:41 PM
Hey, great to hear about the pc! You got a great friend there. He must be quite skilled with computers to recover all those files. I wish I could do that.

Good luck with you exams and your flat.

It’s such a shame you lost all those files. If I see any good sites around to download the manga, I’ll give you a shout.

It stinks that you don’t get much manga and such over there. It sounds like importing is the only option to get stuff, and that can be a real hassle itself. On the movie, information has been released. Apparently it’s going to be an original concept developed between Nightow and the director of the anime series. There’s some more information in this article: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-02-27/animated-trigun-the-movie-planned-for-2009-in-japan
I was pretty sad when Wolfwood died too. He was a really cool guy, and very real. You could really relate to him.

When I first started watching GitS, I found some parts of it pretty confusing. I still do, and end up rewinding it some times just so I can listen to what they said again. You’re right; it does get easier to understand as you go along though.

The Lupin movie was very fun; maybe I’ll look into the series a bit. It looks like a light hearted kind of show, might be a good change since I'm into so many dark series.

Hopefully your friend will dig up some more files. He must very good with computers; especially to find files after a wipe like that. I could never figure that kind of stuff out. Too complicated for me. Anyway, good luck to you and your friend.

It's a shame to hear it was serious; at least you were able to get some files back.

Sorry to hear you had some trouble at home, too. I've been reading the Monster manga and it's very good. I've heard the adaption is exactly the same so it should be great. Mushishi is another great manga as well. It stinks that you can't watch the Trigun episodes either. If you have the manga, you could read that, or do you read it online?

I can't wait to see the movie either. The animation is going to be nice, and hopefully the style will closer to Nightow's than the series was. I can’t wait to see Vash and Wolfwood either.

I've been focusing on the GITS: Stand Alone Complex series and have been really enjoying it. I also just watched the Lupin III Castle of Cagliostro movie. It's very fun and apparently was the first movie Miyazaki directed.

Hey,
I thought that was what happened with Legato, but it wasn't too clear. The coffin thing was still pretty creepy though.

That yaoi stuff scares me too. It's a real pain to get some of the images out of your head. They really take stuff to the extremes.

It's a shame to hear your laptop crashed, that must be a pain. I know how you feel; my computer has crashed as well. Hopefully the cause wasn't something too serious.

It's great talking to other fans, we got to stick together, the Trigun fandom seems to have gotten pretty small. From what I understand, the fandom used to be huge. The movie might give it some more life though.

Yeah, I know what you mean; the anime and manga do go together. I feel each one has its own strong points and really exceed in their own ways. Knives is a lot more twisted in manga, and he does a lot more of the dirty work. I think he has a bigger role in general. Legato was pretty dominant in the anime. On him, I never understood that bit with the coffin either, it was pretty creepy.

I've come across some yaoi fan stuff too. I can't stand it; that kind of stuff really drives me up the wall, especially when it's for my favorite series. It's a shame there aren't more non-yaoi doujins, it would be interesting to read some.

Some more translated stuff for the series would be great, I'd certainly enjoy it.

Coloring a Maximum page, sounds like fun. I should do that sometime. Are you using a digital program or are you going with something such as pencils or markers?

Anyway, it's been a real pleasure talking with you too; it’s great talking with someone who enjoys the series as much as I do. It can get pretty lonely when you’ve no one to talk to.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. There aren't as many folks who know the manga as those who know the anime. Which one do you prefer, or do you like them on equal levels? Though I only have the manga on my favorites, I really enjoy the anime too. It's going to be great when that movie is released. Just more stuff to love, eh?

Hello! Sorry I didn't get to speak with you after I accepted you as a friend. I was away for a couple days right afterword. Anyway, thanks for asking to be friends. It's nice to find another who really enjoys Trigun in both the anime and the manga format.

It's hard for me to keep track of the animes I'm watching at the moment.

The Animax channel just keeps re-showing them over and over and it takes ages to see a new epi.

Oh, and they don't show them in order either, argh :(

Anyway, at least it's good to have a channel dedicated to anime to watch, Portugal doesn't show anime on public tv.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
Keep track of your anime easily by creating your own list.
