Hey!!!! Guess what?! If you're planning on watching Marmalade Boy, they now have ALL the episodes SUBBED! I'm going to re-watch the whole series, this is great, isn't it?! Here, go to this channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/Dev32111. She has EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! Except the first part of ep 76 subbed, but I guess you can watch one part dubbed. But lol, I'm just having a freak attack :P!
jchang Jul 5, 2011 11:51 AM

Oh why thank you! You seem like a really nice person too! And come on, you've got to love Kaname! Come on, Kaname, Kaname! I have checked your profile to see the stuff that you've watched, so I see your an anime beginner :)! I know LOTS of really good animes, so I'll list some here! I, personally, really like Love Triangle stories, but I have watched some animes that don't have some love triangles if you don't like that. First, I'll start with one of my favorites.

Marmalade Boy: This anime up to 40 episodes, is subbed but the fansub group stopped there :(. Luckily, there is a dubbed version of this anime that goes ALL the way to the very last episode, episode 76. I personally like subs but I really loved this anime so much that I watched the rest with dubs.

Plot: Miki Koishikawa lived a normal life - until her parents tell her they'll get divorced.. She doesn't agree, until she meets Yuu Matsuura... the handsome son of another couple, with whom her parents are switching spouses. They all live together now in an enormous house, and Miki and Yuu find themselves falling in love. They'll have to struggle with their own feelings, other people who want to be with them, and whatever Lady Luck and Fate throws in their ways...

Okay, so this anime is about Miki's and Yuu's love and there are MANY, MANY people who try to get in the way of their love and it's all about different types of love triangles. This is my FAVORITE anime ever, even though it's pretty old, it has a really nice drawing style and it's something that you'll grow to love, each episode you watch!

Bokura ga Ita: This anime is only 26 episodes and it is subbed, but don't worry, it goes so much farther in the manga if you like reading mangas! The anime ends at volume 9, chapter 32, so if you really enjoy it that much, you can read off from there. This was my third anime and it was my first anime that got me really interested in animes!

Plot: Nanami Takahashi is a high school student entering her first year. Immediately on her first day however, she becomes the victim of a practical joke by the school's most popular guy, Motoharu Yano, who coincidentally also ends up in her class. While the two get off to a rocky start, they soon find themselves falling in love with one another and begin dating. But their relationship is marred by Yano's past which includes the death of Yano's previous girlfriend, Nana Yamamoto, and the betrayal surrounding her death. To make matters more complicated her younger sister, Yuri, is in the same class as Yano and Nanami. As Yano struggles to come to grips with Nana's death and his unresolved feelings for her, so too must Nanami learn to understand Yano if the two hope to continue their relationship with one another.

I cried so much during this anime! This is one of my favorite animes and I'm reading the manga right now because it's SOOOOOOOO good! This came out in 2006 and everyone around the world knows about it and loves it! There's not really a huge love triangle, but it has some but it makes it really cute! This anime can be SUPER serious or it could be really cute at times! This anime is really funny also, so if you want an anime of all mixtures, this is the one for you!

Skip Beat: This anime has 25 episodes that's subbed, but it's one of my favorites and it goes a LONG way, I'm currently reading the manga! If you like this anime, it leaves off at chapter 66 (volume 11). It's a really light-hearted anime that just grows on you!

Plot: Kyoko followed her true love and childhood friend Sho to Tokyo so she could help him reach his dream of becoming an idol. She cleans, cooks, works three jobs and does nothing for herself because she loves him so much, but gets nothing in return. Still, she remains by his side. But then one day she goes unannounced to his agency with a delivery, and overhears him talking about her; he reveals to his manager that he only took her with him as a maid, and that he doesn't care for her at all. Upon hearing this, Kyoko doesn't just sit around and cry. She cuts and dyes her hair, changes her clothes and attitude and thus begins her journey to join showbiz and have her revenge against Sho.

Yes, it's another love triangle, but it's a really cute one! I loved this anime and I remember the days I had watched the anime. I am currently reading the manga and it's really, super good!

Kodocha: This anime has 102 episodes and it is subbed ALL the way, but it is dubbed up to the 56th episode I think. I don't know, I prefer subs, I know according to your profile that you really enjoy dubs, I did too in the beginning, but once you've seen enough subs, you can never go back, I love subs! When there is a dub, I always pick the sub and I get really irritated if it's just dubbed! The characters look JUST like the ones in Marmalade Boy, but younger.

Plot: Sana Kurata has a charmed life. Not only is her mother is a famous, award-winning writer, but she's the star of the hit TV comedy "Child's Toy" while still in the sixth grade. But Sana's biggest concern is Akito Hayama, a pint-sized hellion who's organized the boys in their grade-school class into a mass of unending noise and violence. With the help of Rei, her manager, chauffeur and "pimp," Sana is determined to win back control of the classroom from her new arch-enemy. But as her crusade continues, Sana moves further into Akito's life, and finds that he might not be entirely bad...or entirely safe.

Even though this anime is about little kids, it's a really funny anime that's FILLED with romance! There are love triangles, but this anime is one of my favorites!

Itazura na Kiss: This is a super cute anime that's not very dramatic, although it can at times. It's very cute though!

Plot: In the romantic comedy story, a high school girl named Kotoko finally tells a fellow senior named Naoki that she has loved him from afar since she saw him on their first day of high school. However, Naoki, a haughty "super-ikemen" (handsome male) with smarts and sports talent, rejects her offhand. Fate intervenes when a mild earthquake ruins Kotoko's family house. While the house gets rebuilt, Kotoko and her dad stay at the home of her dad's childhood friend...whose son is Naoki.

This anime has 25 episodes, all subbed. There is a MINOR love triangle that doesn't really matter, it's not really a love triangle, but it's really cute!

Lovely Complex: This anime has 26 episodes and the characters look A LOT like the ones in Bokura ga Ita, but the whole story is COMPLETELY different!

Plot: Risa Koizumi, taller than the average girl, and Atsushi Ootani, shorter than the average guy - their constant bickering and comical love-hate relationship is well-known throughout the school. They act similarly and love the same music, and their friendship is full of laughing, shouting at each other, and of course, lots of jokes about one another's height. But when Risa notices her feelings for Ootani growing, she's worried. She doesn't know if he can ever see her as more than a friend. With her friends rooting for her, she struggles to make him see how she feels about him, and that a romantic relationship between a tall girl and a short guy can work. Oblivious Ootani doesn't make things easy for her, but she stubbornly perseveres in her own unconventional way, determined for her feelings to get through to him, and finally be returned. If only she could do it without driving herself and everyone else crazy in the process...

This anime has NO love triangles, it was a pretty good anime, but I didn't really enjoy it because there really were no love triangles. It's just a regular anime, but it really makes you laugh at some parts.

Special A: One of my first animes, this was a very different anime but I didn't find it the "best". I mean, I really LOVED it, but it didn't have that much drama. It has 24 episodes, subbed.

Plot: Hikari Hanazono, the main character, has always been second to Kei Takishima. While Hikari considers Kei a rival and somewhat of a friend, Kei loves Hikari. Everyone knows this, but she is too dense to notice. Their wrestling loving fathers first introduced them to one another when they were 6 years old. Assuming that she was the best in wrestling, young Hikari challenged Kei to a wrestling match only to be thoroughly defeated by him. Ever since that fateful incident, Hikari swore to beat Kei in school grades, a sporting event - anything. To do this she has enrolled in the same school as Kei since elementary. Now she attends Hakusenkan, an ultra elite school, that costs her carpenter father a lot of money. Hikari and Kei are the top two students in the school, with Kei holding firmly to that number one position.

IT IS VERY CUTE!!!!!!!! VERY ENJOYABLE, YOU WILL GROW TO LOVE KEI! :P!

Fushigi Yuugi: Okay, this is one of my FAVORITE animes and I can find nothing like it! It has about 52 episodes and it is subbed and dubbed, although there are lots of OAVS after that, so I think with the OAVs it's either about 60 or 70 episodes.

Plot: Miaka Yuuki, an average middle school student caught up in studying for exams, is sucked into an ancient Chinese novel titled "The Universe of Four Gods". There she discovers that she is in an ancient country in what is now China, Konan, and is to be the Priestess of one of the four gods, Suzaku. As the priestess, her duty is to gather the Seven Seishi of Suzaku, who are to be her protectors. Once they are gathered, the priestess will summon the god Suzaku and bring peace between the warring lands, Konan and Kutou. But it's harder than it seems. Along the road, many hardships are faced, as Miaka's best friend Yui Hongo enters the book and becomes her rival, the priestess of Seiryuu in the land of Kutou. Who summons their god first is up to the courage and skill of the priestesses and their seishi, as they meet triumphs and tragedies along the way.

Very serious anime but it could be really funny at some parts, and it REALLY makes you cry. I really liked this anime, and I had to recover from it because it was so sad! Even though it's a fantasy, it is something that you can never forget!

NANA: Finally, we've come to this anime. This is one of my favorite animes EVER and it goes to 47 episodes and is subbed and dubbed. It's a SUPER serious anime that you will cry at some parts over. It has that "mature" aura.

Plot: On board the train to Tokyo to meet her boyfriend Shoji, Nana Komatsu ("Hachi") happened to sit beside Nana Osaki who was traveling to Tokyo to fulfill her dreams of becoming a musician. The vocalist for her punk band "Blast", Nana aims for a major debut for "Blast" in Tokyo where her boyfriend, Ren, is the guitarist for a popular band "Trapnest". Sharing the same name "Nana", both girls quickly form a bond of friendship. Their paths cross again when they encounter each other while searching for accomodation in Tokyo. Eventually they decide to live together in the same unit and this further strengthens their bond as the two "Nana(s)" go through their love lives and career.
The two completely different girls who share the same name; Oosaki Nana and Komatsu Nana (Hachi) meet on a train to Tokyo. Oosaki Nana leaves her band 'BLAST (Black Stones)' to become a pro musician and Hachi moves to Tokyo to be with her boyfriend, Shouji. Girls encounter each other while looking for the same apartment, and they decide to live together. From that moment on, they face the hardships and good things of the life together...

MANY, MANY LOVE TRIANGLES, but it's not just about love! It deals with many things, it deals with love, their jobs, friendship and it has something to do with trust kind of. Yeah, it's exactly like that, trust. It goes very far in the manga, but only to chapter 84 and the mangaka is on hiatus, due to a disease that she had got 2-3 years ago. She has left the hospital and is doing fine now, but there has been no news of NANA.

Those are all the really good animes I found enjoyable, here are some mangas:
MARS: One of my FAVORITE mangas! Very serious, has 15 volumes and 90 chapters! It really leaves an impact on you!

Plot: Kira is an extremely introverted artist and Rei is a popular playboy with a frightening violent side. Touched by a gentle picture Kira drew, Rei makes a promise to protect her. Soon a friendship and romance develop and together they begin to confront the many demons of their pasts that are still haunting them, trying to build a peaceful future for themselves.

This is a SERIOUS manga that's similar to NANA in a way, but the story's not like it at all! The tone is similar to NANA, but MARS is something you will find very enjoyable!

Hot Gimmick: A pretty light-hearted manga, but the characters will sometimes annoy you, but it's a really great manga that everyone should read!

Plot: Hatsumi is just a regular girl, living in your regular company apartment complex, with your regular neighbors, but when her sister asks her to go buy a pregnancy test, everything gets out of hand. Afraid for her family’s reputation, Hatsumi gets black mailed into becoming the neighborhood bully’s slave. Then Hatsumi’s childhood crush moves back into the neighborhood, and it seems that all the guys in the neighborhood are out to get with her. It’s neighbors in love, and it’s scandalous.

I miss reading this manga T__T!

Kyou Koi wo Hajimemasu: I really like this manga! This manga, the main guy can really, really TICK you off sometimes, but he can also be really sweet, but he ticks me off more! The main girl could stand up for herself more, but this manga's super sweet and I really love it! It's still ongoing!

Plot: Self-conscious Tsubaki Hibino enjoys hairstyling, but doesn't think that style suits herself. When she arrives at her new high school, she is immediately teased by her delinquent-like classmates for maintaining such an old-fashioned look. That's not the worst part—the top student of the grade, Kyouta Tsubaki, not only shares the same name as her, but is also an arrogant, promiscuous playboy. After Tsubaki cuts Kyouta's hair in defiance, he ominously threatens to steal all of her first experiences.

It's not the best manga but hey, it's cute. It can be kind of perverted at times and it really could annoy the heck out of you, but it's a cute manga! I haven't read that much manga yet, so I'm going to read more and more!

Ha, anyways, sorry for the VERY long paragraph, but I have LOTS of animes and mangas that you can watch/read. After you finish all of those, I can list some more for you, so just ask! Anyways, good luck! I really recommend Marmalade Boy, Bokura ga Ita, Nana, Fushigi Yuugi and MARS! :P! Happy to help you :P!

ok i will start with the animes i watched which are the new ones from this season:

-Anohana: pretty cute and sad. it's about friendship and how people handle the dead of a precious one. kind of shoujo but very good if you want some tears.
-kami nomi zo shiru sekai: this one is really funny and clumsy but its the fact that they kind of make fun of clumsiness that makes this show so fun haha. following the manga of this one too its great.
-Hanasaku inoha: Slice of life really nothing exciting but kind of relaxing anime. you like it because of the characters because the plot is too simple.
-steins;gate: on going anime. wow really good. it has some comedy, thriller and romance. i love the concept of the story and its pretty thrilling to see what's going to happen after the first half.
-C: weeeeirrddddd. its an anime about economy but with battle pets like hmm digimon? hahaha but its actually good. it deals with some philosofical conflicts and its really original but again, weird... xD

hmmm i really like a lot of types of anime both shoujo and shonen. although code geass is my favorite i have enjoyed many romance anime. kanon 2006 and ef tale of memories are examples. also i liked kimi ni todoke which is one if the most girlish anime i have ever seen hahahaha if you want a light anime to get a break cross game is my fav there :P
