Love Hina shonen, Ai Yori Aoshi seinen. Everything else is pretty much the same. Seriously, these share the same story and characters with minor differences. Love Hina is endless harem "comedy" while Ai Yori Aoshi goes to deep feelings and actual romance side.

Both have genres action and drama. While SIPM is historical Saiyuki is adventure.

Both are about a group of people whose life changes in one day. They start to fight against enemy and are the only hope of the world. Both have side stories about the character past and how they are connected to each others. Both also have nice psychological side on them which is made in same type of way. Both handle characters and them emotion in similar way and are somewhat dramatic. Atmosphere is really similar and art style is "light" in both manga. Recommended highly.

I'm amazed that no-one has yet made any recs for these two. They are really similar in many ways.

-Both handles the concept between present and future (time lines). While S;G has reading steiner Tatami Galaxy has "Tatami room."
-Okabe is crazy dude trying to travel in time while Tatami Galaxy's nameless protagonist is wondering what to do with his life after graduating. It may not sound so similar but when you watch how the story improves you will realize how and how much. Can't really say cause would be spoiler but e.g. the choices and mistakes protagonist do.
-Both have character development which could be said to be on whole new level.
-There is also amazing comedy side on both of these.

The Tatami Galaxy's story develops in the way that you'll realize how brilliant the story actually is after watching more episodes, so if you start to watch it then you shouldn't drop it.

Both are shoujo romances where protagonists share same kinda secret.

These two are actually one of the rare harems worth of reading.

Both have really good story and actually plot unlike such harems as Mahou Sensei Negima, Love Hina or Shuffle. Those are actually nothing more than shit. If someone likes those then you really must read Ichigo 100% and I''s, you have no idea what you are missing then.

Both also have;
- great balance between relationships and comedy side
- unique, memorable and likeable characters
- deep and emotional (actually quite beautiful) moments between characters, also, those moments aren't killed with pathetic comedy (which seems to happen in every other harem)
- real romance included unlike most of harems
Most importantly, the main character guy isn't horrible mess who just seems to think which girl to take first unlike in almost every other harem. (Yes, I like to say "unlike other harems" cause harems are mainly just shit.)

Both are really rare kinda shonen titles with little Slice of Life side on them. Both have many main characters and story developing in many different point of view. The City plays big part in both mangas. Atmosphere is really similar, characters are extremely likeable, story is actually great unlike many typical shonen titles and both are really enjoyable to read. I see it impossible to not like the other when liking the another.

Guy is strong and misjudged demon who works for greater good unlike other demons. Girl is christian who works for the church. Their relationship is somewhat similar too.

Shonen sport mangas with very much similarities.

Protagonist:
- doesn't know anything about the sport they starts doing.
- reason why they choose the sport is similar.
- are genius.

Story is about to beat everyone on their way to the top.
Includes similar and really unique/memorable character = great character design.
The amount of sport and other things is balanced in similar way.
Humor is also built in similar way.

It's impossible for not to like the other if you like the another, imo.

Both are depressing dramas about how empty life can be without love.
Protagonists sell their bodies and don't care about themselves.

Recommend highly. Btw, There is tons of mangas with name 'first love.' This rec is to Sakamoto Isao's First love manga (make sure to look the manga using their name).

Most important similarity is the humor, it's brilliant and really funny in both mangas.
Person who likes the humor of Angel Densetsu or GTO will like the other ones humor as well.

-have mail lead who is judged by his look and rumors.And others attitude towards the mail lead also develops in similar way.
