My anime tastes tilt in the direction of historical, slow-paced, moé and slice-of-life. I have an aversion to beat 'em' up power levels shonen.
I am pretty obsessed with history, and daydream about a twelve episode slice-of-life about two mormon missionaries.
I try to keep in mind that 5 is the intended average for anime series, but my average rating skews above that due to self-selection bias of generally only watching shows I expect to like more than the average anime.

Giving a fast response would be contradicting with the underlying idea, so it may better this way.
C&C I quit for the most shallow reason - while I was tidying up my clubs, I half-randomly half-accidentally clicked the wrong "leave" and didn't bother to join again.

I don't think it actually was, since the only two people I got to check it out (to my knowledge) didn't actually get there in time, but thanks anyway. I dunno, maybe the amusing(?) image in this week's message convinced someone to try it? Probably not, but wishful thinking I guess.
Either way I'm still really happy it's in. Hell, it was the first thing I ever nominated when I joined the club.

Generally though I found Origination inferior to Natural, save for the last 5 episodes during which I cried like a bitch.

Hi Jolon, I read your review about Hanasaku Iroha, a very balanced review indeed. I'm recruiting new members for PA Works club and contacting users that followed this show I found it's really appreciated, especially between female audience. Here you got a point when you're saying that it doesn't have its niche, because the audience is mainfold. Take a look at the club, if you want to join you're welcome. Bye!

Overall, the characters in Kamichu weren't the best, but Yurie was wonderful, moreso than anyone in Sketchbook and the main reason I found Kamichu so enjoyable. Episode 14 in particular did a fantastic job at showcasing how Yurie accepts her responsibilities as a God but she's still young and wants to be lazy and looked after.

Hey. Sorry for the late reply, I only just noticed your comment.
I thought it started out a little on the slow side but started to pick up at episode 3. More comedy would have been nice as I feel that's when the anime was at its best. I liked the variety in the cast, but some characters could have seen more screen time, Juju was rather underused and more interaction between her and Kurihara would have been good.
The music and art were both great and set the atmosphere well. If it goes up for spotlight in CnC, I'm unsure as to how I'll vote. Sketchbook certainly has charm but feels a tad lackluster to some similar titles like Aria, Kamichu and Fuujin Monogatari.

If you contact him letting him know how long you'll be away, and leaving your votes for the next three weeks with him (obviously you can't leave votes for further weeks, but still), everything should be fine.
