Let's see if I'll still read manga and watch anime even when I get old and brittle.
If I'm not logged on here in over 5 months, I probably lost interest (psh) or I'm dead...damn.

I accept random friend requests. But after I accept them, I'd like to chat with you. I don't see much of a point to "friend" you if we don't talk, unless I know you from some other forum/place.
My first experience with anime was Pokémon. I was 6 then and I still like it now. If you like, please recommend me some anime. I'm not an avid anime person compared to manga, but I do want to change that. Drop me a comment and we'll go from there.
And later on in years from Pokémon, I heard of manga and had seen it in bookstores, but never bothered to read it. After seeing it, I never thought about it again until I saw it on bookstore shelves...again. But thanks to a friend from school in around October/November 2008 of my junior year in high school, I got into manga. And I haven't looked back since then. :D
My first manga was Kare First Love, but I read about 15 chapters and then I randomly decided to begin Naruto since it was pretty popular. And since then, I've added a bunch of other manga and while I still enjoy the Big Three (even though I haven't read One Piece), I'd rather read seinen and other genres. I usually avoid mecha, yaoi, yuri, shonen-ai, and shoujo-ai. But if a manga is one of those but not doused in it, and it's good, I might check it out.
And then! Out of boredom and a desperate attempt to find someplace where I could possibly keep track of anime/manga. I kept losing the paper I was writing on. I figured that anime was popular so there had to be some site, right? Alas! I found MAL in January 2, 2009. So...here I am now.
Also, pay no attention to my ratings. I just rate it based on my enjoyment of the series. I also think about the art and all that...but ultimately it's on whether I like it or not. Our tastes might be different.
 By the way, as you can tell from my profile picture, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is my favorite movie. I highly recommend it. That, and Robert Downey Jr. is one of my favorite actors. Val Kilmer and Michelle Monaghan just add to the charm of the movie.
Also, even if you don't care, my favorite book is I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak. I don't think it's as good as The Book Thief (by him, too), but I think I could relate better to the protagonist, Ed Kennedy (a teenager in suburban Australia), as opposed to Liesel Meminger (a child during WWII).

I just finished reading Bloody Monday... I start on the sequel next.. Quite an interesting story.. I like the way Fujimaru hacks stuffs! That was cool! So I guess we see Maya on the sequel?
