wow, seems you've got a few comments already...
Welcome to MAL... about time I said this...

I much prefer cool to warm as well but it's still very strange. In that freak storm thing the other day it was actually snowing in some parts of Vic... snow! in summer!! Insanity.
Critter Jan 19, 2010 9:03 PM
Haha, I'd like to learn Japanese one day but apparently it's an incredibly hard language to learn.

How weird is this weather we have been having? It was boiling hot for about 3 days and now apparently it's going to be cool for the rest of the Summer.

I watch a lot of my anime with Japanese dubs and English subs and I have found the same thing. I can now recognise a lot of Japanese words just by hearing them so much on the anime. Just small things though, like how to say 'I'm sorry' and things like that.
Critter Jan 19, 2010 8:33 PM
Haha, that makes sense, I thought that it may have been a translation mishap.
I know what watching things with no English audio or subs is like. I went on a trip to Russia last year and no television at all in Russia is in English. But sometimes we were just bored in the hotel rooms of a nightime so we watched it anyway, in the end we watched hours of TV totally in Russian. I sometimes watch the Russian news on SBS now that I am back. I actually kind of miss not understanding anything :P.

That's strange all the DVD releases I've seen in Australia so far, including my own are all called Grave.

Haha three hey? I'm bad with Geelong schools, I really only know my own and then other ones that some of my friends go to.
Critter Jan 19, 2010 8:09 PM
Do you mean Grave of Fireflies? Ive never heard it be reffered to as Tombstone before. But yeah it's a good one, I actually studied that one at school. I got Ponyo on DVD recently but I've been into Ghibli films since the mid 90's. Watched them since I was very young and have grown up with them. I could probabaly guess which school you are from haha :P. After all arent there only two all girl schools in Geelong?
Critter Jan 19, 2010 8:00 PM
I've liked some anime for years such as Studio Ghibli films, but like you I only got into it more seriously last year. You're lucky that your friends introduced you, none of my friends at school were into anime. I must admit though that while I watch a lot of anime I am still yet to read any manga.
Critter Jan 19, 2010 7:55 PM
Haha are anime lovers normal? Who knows :P.

I am fairly normal but I don't mind if you don't want to add me, it's cool. How long have you liked anime/manga for?
Critter Jan 19, 2010 7:49 PM
Nice. So remember add on msn anytime if you'd like. By the way I see you like Death Note. I'm currently watching it on ABC2 but I am only 7 episodes in.
Critter Jan 19, 2010 7:05 PM
It's cool, I understand if you don't want to put that on. I just did VCE last year so I have finished now but I went to The Geelong College. If you would like to chat somewhere a lil less public my msn is : twisted_dragonn@hotmail.com
Critter Jan 19, 2010 6:56 PM
Ah swell, my grandparents live in Highton. Which school are you at?
Critter Jan 19, 2010 6:52 PM
No worries. So where about's in Geelong are you from if you don't mind me asking? I'm in Hamlyn Heights. Near the new Ring Road.
