I simply adore manga and anime and don't even know where to begin with my rave reviews and reasons why I am so hooked. From the animation styles to the plots of the stories conveyed (which are really interesting and rather original...for the most part) to the underlying themes and philosophical meaning of a work, these series simply have great merit and are really fun to be immersed in. I acknowledge that there is a sizable amount of series that are simply terrible (after all, each genre and style suffers from this, right?), so the above statements really apply to the series that I have or will read and/or watch. I am absolutely picky about what I want to watch and/or read, so if I see that a series has poor reviews and that I do not like the plot for some reason after making a preliminary investigation into it, I WILL NOT watch it; this was a philosophy that was learned the hard way, namely by unwittingly watching some not-so-good series. Of course, that doesn't mean that I won't accidentally walk into the trap of watching a less-than-satisfactory show from time to time; we all need to take a break from high standards and just lighten up, after all. All in all, I am really glad to be a part of the anime fandom and really appreciate fellow fans and the community.
