Recommending is sooooo hard :P; But sure, I can tell you a few ones that you might like.
Comedy: Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? or Danshi koukousei no nichijou
Slice of life: Boku wa tomodachi ga sukunai or Natsume Yuujinchou
Shounen: Gintama or Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Sad: Clannad or Angel Beats!
Romance: Kimi ni todoke

Loved Demon Souls, gonna wait before I get Dark Souls though, then I can play with some friends XD; and Dead Island is quite good to play on LAN with friends but I don't think it's that good.
